The Resident Birb-Armoured Glory Hound

![]() Character Name: Tadakatsu Character Age/Birthdate: Irrelevant Character Gender: What Gender is your character? Genderless Character Race: What Race is your character? Eikon Combat Racials: I am Your Desire. I am Your Purpose. All Eikons are summoned for a purpose, they represent something, and the power and leanings of their manifested bodies reflect this. Every Eikon starts with a transformation trait that is applied to their base forms (and still active during subsequent transformations). (10% Defence) Sup Upon the World. Sup Upon Thine Enemies. Eikons cannot generate their own ki, and must instead draw it from the environment. To do so at great speed, as is needed in battle, is laborious compared to a species that can generate its own, but such a task is much simpler when taken from a more direct and concentrated source. --Eikons generate only 2.5% ki per AP spent, and 5% every 5th AP put into a single charge. --When an Eikon defends against a technique, they add half the ki cost of the technique to their own ki. --When an Eikon is struck by an attack without defending, they add the full ki cost of the technique to their own ki --dodging an attack gets no ki gain. --This ki gain can increase an Eikon's ki up to 20% over their max. Non-Combat Racials: Many are My Names, and Many are Their Bodies. Eikons can be killed. They are not immortal. The manifested forms can be destroyed, broken apart, taken such damage that no amount of ki can keep them together. When this happens, an Eikon can potentially preserve their manifestation, make it lighter, expel their 'ki'. Their manifestation becoming less solid, less corporeal, and caught up in the systems of the afterlife until they gain enough ki to return to the physical plane. Yet they can also dissolve entirely, returning back to the void from whence they came, waiting to be called again, as another manifestation, to another's cause and goals. --When an Eikon is killed in combat, they can choose to die normally, in which case all the normal rules for death apply. --Alternatively, an Eikon who is killed in combat can choose to reincarnate instead. --An Eikon that reincarnates keeps 25% of their PL, but gains only half the normal number of Reincarnation tokens. I am the Manifestation. I am They, Given Flesh. Every Eikon is manifested by others, without exception, their body, their power, their very ideals, shaped by the worshipers who call so desperately for a deity that simply does not truly exist. The Eikon's goals in the physical world are determined by this, and their morality as well. The only way to escape the morals and concepts given they are made to represent is to return to the void, and await a new manifestation. --An Eikon starts with a concept. An ideal and/or morality they represent. This can be something broad such as benevolence or malevolence, or specific, like a virtue or sin. Pride, Wrath, Patience, Peace, and other stranger, things. Tadakatsu is the Guardian Teacher, defending those he teaches above all. --In threads where the Eikon follows, indulges, or embraces their concept, they gain a +10% PL bonus to their gains. ((Determined by the staff grading)) --An Eikon starts with a specific goal, a task they are to complete. Their reason for being summoned. Free a people, destroy an invader, kill this or these persons. --An Eikon who successfully completes their goal, increases the tokens they'll receive upon reincarnating by 20%. (from 50% token gains, to seventy) --Upon accomplishing their goal, an Eikon has a choice. They can take on another goal, for another bonus to their tokens, or they can break free of goals entirely, becoming an independent entity dictated by their concept. --An Eikon can accomplish up to three goals, for a max of 110% of the normal tokens given for reincarnation. --An Eikon with no goal instead gains +15% PL on threads that follow, indulge, or embrace their concept. Tadakatsu's "goal" is nebulous, but can be considered fulfilled if the following conditions are met. - A student of his leader's Dojo, or leader herself, successfully thwarts a Saga Villain's overarching plan or otherwise causes severe inconvience to a Saga Villain OR - Tadakatsu successfully repels an attempted Takeover of the sector his leader's Dojo is in. Character Height: 7ft Character Weight: 26.5kg Physical Appearance: A living suit of armor, to the battle they are reborn. The Eikon's appearance varies according to whichever suit of armor it currently inhabits, as per the beliefs of its summoners. Personality: A serious entity the Eikon currently called Tadakatsu exists with an everburning desire to guide and nurture those who would fight to protect others and to defend the place where this training takes place. While deathly serious and prone to mild condescention the Eikon is polite and curteous, comprehending that it is oft easier to protect a place if you get along with those around it. Alignment: Are you pure good, good, neutral, evil, or pure evil? 50, Tadakatsu was summoned to protect and teach, though it will take any length to uphold this. Current Location: Yamazakura, Earth Sector 2 Additional Character Details ------------------------------------------- Character Sexuality: Eikon Marital Status: Eikon Character Relatives: Eikon Rivalries: None Character History: Tadakatsu has born through two prior existances and as such I'll provide crib notes for all three incarnations. Andramalech, the Scourge - Summoned into being by a particularly loathesome group of ne'er'do'wells with desires to overthrow their rightful king on a far flung world and usurp control the group got much more than they bargained for. Summoned with the burning purpose to conquer, raze and burn the Eikon carved a bloody furrow through the planet they were summoned upon shortly after draining the Ki from its summoner's bodies. Their intent had been to rule after the fact, however the summoning was born of their urge to remove all trace of their current rulers... and so when the Eikon was done it promptly destroyed the planet and took to the stars alongside a chosen few deranged enough to believe in the "glorious purpose" of their new wytch-warrior godking. Adramalech met its end on the third world it visited, heroes across the system banding together to strike the tyrant and executioner down... his form shattered and his life ebbing the Eikon returned to the home it craved, its purpose long since filled. It welcomed an end to the hunger. The Second - If shame were a concept that had been involved in their Second Summoning, the Eikon currently called Tadakatsu would have been ashamed of their presence and incarnation. Called into being by an intense emotion of loss and confusion and desperation the Eikon drank deeply of the rich local Ki and found it had a single summoner who had called it to fulfil one simple request... to find their car keys. Taking the form of a "hero" that the particularly gullible alien had been lead to revere as a "finder of small things" and "Achiever of small miracles" by a particullarly savvy conman amazed at his luck the Eikon began by searching the home of the alien. Regrettably the knowledge of Instaneous Movement was one its summoner held and soon it was embarking on a galaxy wide quest, visiting strange and sometime dangerous locales its summoner had visited that past week in an attempt to locate those precious keys. After several months though it finally achieved its purpose when, after a particularly vicious battle with a multi-headed plant-like being whose nest they had been searching, its summoner found that they had been in his jacket pocket the entire time. With its purpose filled the Eikon slipped back into the void from which it had been summoned, the yearning for home stronger than the last time by a country mile. Tadakatsu - Named for a warrior who fought for years and never recieved an injury the Eikon's current incarnation is several hundred years old and was summoned in a time of need. With rival tribes closing in on the last mountain holdouts of a peaceful and spiritual people whose monks had none the less trained themselves in martial arts as an aid to meditation. Tasked with defending the final shrine and its environs while passing on the techniques of their ancestors the Eikon took on the appearance of an ancient Kami of their faith, an earthbound spirit, formless and shapeless, that would possess suits of armor to interact with and guard its people. There were no techniques of the ancestors and yet it was compelled to teach, so drawing upon its former lives it sifted through its collection of knowledge and began to dispense the techniques that had laid Adramalech low, focusing on the unarmed and on staves and bows, weapons they had in abundance. In time the war was won and yet the Eikon remained, warriors coming to be taught the ways of their people... but as the centuries rolled round the people who had summoned it passed on, their civilisation wiped out by another and the shrine fading into myth. Occasionally a wandering soul might find the decrepit locale and be met by a suit of armor that was willing to teach them once it knew they meant no harm but mostly life was... uneventful. That was untill one day, when the desire to return home was almost as strong as the urge to remain in case more would one day come; a broken spirit was in the grounds, its heart heavy with pain as it tried to discover what its honor meant. Training and guiding that one through its pain the spirit felt the familiar feeling of pride creeping back... here was a hero in the making, here they were training them, but soon they would leave. When the darkness rose to claim them they moved without thought, caging the shadows, unable to sustain its own incarnation as the mists began to seep... like it or not Tadakatsu was going home, the last of its Ki flinging her away. But she came back, promising the air in case it heard that she would bring others worthy of its tutellage, that it had a place where she trained the heroes of tommorow. The comforting mists of home were so close, but the Eikon dragged itself back out, something kindled inside it, an echo of its current incarnation's summoning. It could live its purpose again, it had the choice now and it could chose to be what it was summoned to be. Slowly it began to draw Ki back in from the shrine that had been its home for so very long... when it had the strength it would go to this village and find the woman once again. It would protect her home as the place heroes were trained, it would pass on the knowledge it held... a part of it yearned for home but the rest blazed with a sense of purpose once more.
