Here is an interresting fact, The Tri-star godzilla, which is actually a marine iguana that was altered instead of an actual dinosaur, appeared in Godzilla:Final wars under the name of Zilla. When Zilla is defeated in Sydney, the Xilian leader shouts "I knew that tuna-eating lizard was useless!" as in Godzilla 1998, they tempt Zilla out of hiding with a lot of tuna! In the Final wars, Hedorah is killed when godzilla throws Ebirah at him and blasts the two together. However, in the Staff roll, Hedorah is seen emerging from the wreckage. It turns out that this was a deleted scene, according to Toho. Ok, that was more tham one fact!

While Gojira was still in its pre-production stage, Toho was wondering how to make a giant monster film. They didn't want to use stopmotion animation like in King Kong, so they decided to use a latex suit, and miniature models. Now Toho had to do was find a desing for Godzilla. There were many concepts for Godzilla, one of them included an octopus (imagine how different everything would be today!), and even Godzilla with four legs instead of two (yes, things would be different today). Toho's final product, obviously, is the suit we recognize today. Godzilla had four toes, little ears behind his eyes, fangs in the front of his mouth, and his eyes gave a "beady" look. Toho had a hard time making the first suit, but later made a second one, weighing a massive 220 pounds. Haruo Nakajima, a stuntman who played Godzilla in the original film, and others later on, had a very hard time moving it around, especially under hot studio lights. Once in a while he would faint on the set. Toho had eased some of his pain by constructing a "half-suit" with only the legs. Godzilla would later lose weight in the next suit. Hedorah emerging was probably a cut seen because as we all know, Hedorah is immune to Gojira's radiation breath. |

Well, unless it is electrocuded. Also, that movie had it's moments where you just die laughing. Like godzilla flying, like, WHAT THE HECK? I laughed so much it hurt! |
