Many thanks 4 ur suggestions.Waaa only in 20 minute ur flywheel and clutch got kong aarrrr. My Smartech engine, clutch, and flywheel in my experience can hold up to at least 4 tanks at my drift sessions.Only i richened the fuel setting to make engine cooler. Now i have to make "pure adjustment" to my suspension. Now i use QD tyres to drift.Once i used pvc it's too slippery for nitro. Here's the pic of my nitro drifter.

PVC tyres that are too slippery..... apatah lagi kat "lecoh".....

if u want to hav a taste of drifting then juz try n wrap yr tires with 'pvc tape' like i did. can get those at hardware or wire shops. hehe.. most of the drifters do their own tires using abs pipe (black polypipe). u can buy drift tires too if u want more nice effect.. :D

xmie, nice car.. hehe.. take video as well la. nice to c smoke when goin sideways.. :P

Black Rose......there are many type of tyres you can use but u have to choose the one which suit the style of your drifting.I use QD tyres and after this maybe Tamiya Driftt Tyres.PVC pipe only is tooooooo slippery. And you have to make proper setting of your suspension cause the setting is different between rc car brand and your drift styles. In addition you may have to or not locking your rear differential.

FoarGeez.......nice car u said.......hehehe for me it's just a newbie's car like me.It's not too nice but enough for me to drifting right now.Maybe after i have get my drift control better with this car i will use HPI RS4 Stage D. Video also maybe after that.Right now i have taken several video but it's for 'private seeing' only laaa.I'm not satisfied and so shy to post it in the forum cause my drift is not 'collosal' yet.

Yeah i think Tamiya drift tyres would be best for nitro to drift on tarmac. For EP it's too grippy.. but I think would be costy la sikit.. :D

I'm a little bit confiused about the Tamiya Drift Tyres at Tamiya Underground.Several month ago i bring my Smartech to them to install 8 tyres hub bearing. While thay are working on my RC i saw a pair of Tamiya Drift Tyres and i asked them how much is the price? They said it cost RM30 a pair.At that time i'm not intended to use that tyres.Several day ago i email chee yong at stargek (tamiya underground) and he reply to me it cost about rm49 a pair.Waaa harga sudah lain kaaa?Maybe the price i got in my email is after promotion is over.....Whatever it is my bearing is working very very fine until today.I'm not regret spending rm 64 for that bearings.

Right now i want to hear from other member on how much is the price when they bought that tamiya drift tyres...........Just to know only.

Exactly i got this second handed Sanwa MXA (AM) not MX3 (FM) at good price and by luck.Receiver, 2 servo+battery holder and user manual are included. It cost me about RM 270 including postage. I don't know the new transmitter's price. I bought it from one of this forum's member - sakamoto. From what he said, he is using this transmitter only for a month. The post still not delete in buying or selling forum.Although it's AM but many function is great for me to setting throttle, Steering, A.B.S and others for use in drifting R/C.

p/s: What transmitter you're using now?

What'z up nitro drifters..........any of you try yokomo drift tires (ZERO-TWO 'R') or the Radial Type-D Drift Tires?

I notice most of you use either PVC or ABS and some using tape...you should try using the yokomo drift tires cause they are really good. My ride is the Yokomo
GT-4 equiped with yokomo drift tires and it really slide well. Some of you may thing that yokomo drift tires are very expensive, but my opinion is RC Drifting is the cheapest sport around compare to RC Touring. You seldom crash during drifting but if you do the damage will be minimal cause the speed is not that fast. Compare to RC Touring, sometimes when you crash you can even break the chasis into half, so RC Drifting is already very cheap compare to others.

Happy Drifting Guys!!!

Yo xmie,

The yokomo drift tires (ZERO-TWO 'R') that i'm using will cost around RM140 - RM150, althought the price is a bit costly but it's only for the first time cause the middle hard plastic ring can be replace and one set of the hard plastic ring will cost around RM20 - RM30. You can reconfirm the price with Haidi from Hobbyhaven.

The yokomo drift tires (ZERO-TWO 'R') is very good for 'Style Drifting'.

The Radial Type-D Drift Tires is very good for ' High Speed Drifting'.

PVC, ABS and tape is too slippery for Nitro but works well for EP.

Shah,
Setahu aku kalau kau nak transmitter ( AM 27mhz) maknanya kau kena cari Sanwa MXA bukannya MX3.Sebab kat laman web TRANSMITTER NI takde MX3 yg guna AM semuanya FM aje.Contohnya macam aku punya MXA AM 40 mhz.

Bye the way it has been many days this forum topic is little "quiet".I want to share something about my Smartech Nitro drifter......Now i use tin spray cap as a drift ring.i only cut it about 1/3 of my tyres and slide it on the middle of my tyres. And it go sideway pretty "cun".....Just need to squeeze the throttle to make it going sideway and going curve into corner.Maybe drift + power sidespin i think.Too long squeezing the throttle+steering left or right and i'll eating donut.Camber and toe setting is 0 degree for front and rear.Rear suspension is hard and front is soft.
However my RC hobby is going to be great after this.haahaha......

Maybe in the short time i'll post my video about my drifting practise.Still not great "collosal drift" but just to share with all.My drift tyres "ring" also will be post here....
