hi all fellows drifters... im a car enthusiasts myself.. im from zerotohundred & putra collective club.. i got this forum thanx to 'marcus'.. been finding local forums for RC community for quite awhile.. i used to play nitro rc about 4-5 years back b4 i get driving license.. after since, ive stop playing n started to play with real cars.. n now drifting hav strucked me deep especially when hearing those teriyaki boyz soundtrack.. thought of playing but juz notice its much safer to play drift with battery cars rather then nitros.. ive tried it once , n kinda kaput-ed my flywheel cuz the torque is very high due to pvc tape. Had it replaced already cost a bomb. So now im eyeing for a battery RC set.. hope u guys could provide some guidance on wats the good reliable models since im so outdated about RC de.. im aiming for those amature sets.. budget around 1k. im planning to use it for a long term. so might as well get a good one. Im looking for a kit than can go sideways n also can keep up with those speed demons.. So far the place im familiar with is NamLee.. is there any recommendable shops..? hope u guys could provide more infos.. tx.. :ashamed: |

With 1K budget, i suggest u get Tamiya TT-01D. Many of this TT-01D owner (beginners or OTAI) have no problems handling this car. U can get it at Tamiya Underground at 1 Utama Shopping Complex at Damansara Utama. It's at basement (B2 Floor).I have email them asking the price and it's around RM 1200 including battery and charger.Except you must have TX, servo and RX. Here's the address: STARGEK (M) SDN BHD (714586-W) B25, Basement 2, 1 Utama Shopping Centre Lebuh Bandar Utama, Bandar Utama 47800 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia telefax: +60 3 77290553 email: talktous@tamiya.com.my operating hours Mon - Sun 10am - 10pm One other choice is Yokomo Drift Specs. Contact info: Hobby Haven Sdn. Bhd.(408042-D) No.26 (1st floor), Jalan PJS 11/7, 46000 Bandar Sunway, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia. Tel: (603)- 5631 6155 Fax: (603)- 5621 3962 Email: info@hobbyhaven.com.my Contact person: Elwyn Lee or Haidi The price they give to me at past time is around RM 1300 to RM1500.Not so sure the price nowadays. But wait maybe the other forumer in this forum will give u their good suggestion.
