Welcome to the Dankest Quest Ever!

This is a casual role-playing experience that will be played out via this forum, and the roll20 tabletop simulator. The players will take part in building the greatest guild known to the world. Starting off humbly with just the basics, the guild will eventually become mighty and powerful and be renown throughout the lands. Players will create their own pathfinder characters using the basic pathfinder character creation rules. Players will play the role of the guild members in this game. Fame and glory can be achieved multiple ways. The most frequent way will be through completing quests given out by the residents of the world's different cities and villages. This could be anything from simple deliveries, finding and killing monsters, or rescue missions. Upon completion of quests, the players will earn rewards in the form of gold and items. In addition, the Guild as a whole will often receive a gold reward and a reputation gain with the city of the quest giver.

1) Character Creation:

As mentioned above, this is a pathfinder role playing experience. Players will be creating characters using the pathfinder character creation rules. Those rules can be found here. We will be using the 4d6 rule for Ability Score generation. Please use the roll20 app to complete this step so that the GM can see the rolls. Once character creation is completed, post your character sheet in this section of the forum. In your post be sure to include a picture of your character, and a small backstory of how they came to join the guild. As mentioned above, this is casual pathfinder, so feel free to be as creative as you'd like with your characters. The Guild does not discriminate!

After a period of time has passed, and the guild has constructed the proper buildings. Players will be allowed to make more than one character to play with. These characters do not share gold with the individual player's other characters, nor do they share experience. All new characters start at level one.

2) Questing

The Dankest Quest Ever will be played out using a quest system. Periodically quests will be posted on the quest board by the Guild Scribe. There are multiple categories of quests. Dungeon Quests, Adventure Quests, and Epic Quests. Upon completion of these quests the participants will be rewarded with Exp, Gold and Items normally. In addition, the Guild as a whole will often receive a gold reward and a reputation gain with the city of the quest giver.

2) A: Dungeon quests:

Dungeon quests are quests that will be completed using the roll20 tabletop simulator. These quests are designed to be completed as mini-sessions and will be relatively short. Most dungeon quests will not require a party size bigger than 4. In the event that there are not enough player characters to participate in a Dungeon Quest, a NPC member of the guild may be drafted to assist in the endeavor. Most Dungeon Quests will be repeatable. Refreshing after several days. To sign up for a Dungeon quest, simply reply to it on the quest board.

2) B: Adventure Quests:

Adventure Quests are quests that will be completed using the forum. These are more role play oriented. Adventure quests will take players on errands for people most of the time. Or they could be recruitment missions. These quests are designed to be filler for players when we are unable to do dungeon quests or epic quests. Even though there is generally not any combat in adventure quests, players will still receive rewards after completion. To begin an adventure quest, simply reply to it on the quest board. Generally, only one player will undertake a specific quest unless otherwise noted in the quest description.

2) C: Epic Quests:

Epic Quests are the where true heroes are revealed. These quests will be played out like dungeon quests, via the roll20 tabletop simulator. Epic quests are designed to take several sessions to complete. As such these quests will be played at specific times that will be announced in advance. Since these quests are going to take several sessions any Player Guild Characters will not be available to partake in dungeon quests or adventure quests after embarking on an Epic Quest. Upon completion of these quests, the participants and Guild will receive a substantial reward!

2) D: Using Spells While Questing

When going on a quest that involves using the roll20 tabletop simulator players with spells and spell-like abilities will follow the standard rules of needing to prepare them accordingly. However, when one is going on an Adventure quest through the forum, any of the player's spells can be used without preparation or fear of running out of spell uses. Meaning the The effect of the spell however will be up to the discretion of the GM.

3) The Passage of Time

The passage of time in this game will be recorded in a particular fashion. There are twelve months in the year. Lorndas, Munitos, Berguary, Arilin, Nexium, Ghostas, Mordigas, Percharn, Hunglis, Wernter, Justarnia, and Valdeve. There are also four seasons throughout the year, each consisting of three months. Spring consists of Lorndas, Munitos, and Berguary. Summer is Arilin, Nexium, and Ghostas. Autumn will be Mordigas, Percharn, and Hunglis. And Winter being Wernter, Justarnia, and Valdeve.

That being, that every Sunday at 12 PM EST one month of in game time will have elapsed. So basically one week of real life will be one month of game life. This has many different effects on the game. Mainly, this passage of time will be used to record the earnings of the Guild, the consumption of food stores, and things of that nature. I will also try to add more of the smaller quests to the quest board on Sundays.

3) A: Guild Earnings/Expenses
Every in game month (or every Sunday) the Guild's treasury will be recalculated. Any expenses and earnings will be deducted/added to the Guild Treasury. This could be anything from the arranged purchases of different stocks for the guild, to the income received from different businesses the guild owns or has constructed. Guild members also receive a small paycheck of sorts from the guild every month equaling twenty-five gold pieces in the beginning. If the Guild's treasury runs into the negative bad things may happen. Such as NPC guild mates deciding to abandon the Guild.

3) B: Food Storages
Every month in addition to the treasury, the Guild's food storage will be assessed. Every month, a single guild member will consume exactly one hundred units of food. Therefore it is important for players to arrange for food to be brought into the guild. Either through agreements with local farmers and such, or by constructing buildings that produce food for the guild. If the food stores are reduced below zero bad things happen. Such as NPC guild mates leaving the guild. Player characters will also receive a debuff to their strength and constitution stats if the food storage is reduced below zero.

3) C: Professions and Crafting
If any characters have chosen a profession that they are skilled at every month they will receive gold depending on how skilled they are.

With at least one rank in a profession players will make a dice roll in the roll20 tabletop simulator to simulate how well they performed their profession for the month. This will be 1d20+the profession bonus. Players will take the result of the roll and multiply it by four (once for every week in the month) and then divide the result by two since the character is not a master of their craft. The ending result will be what the player made off of their profession for the month.

With at least five ranks in a profession, players will follow the same rules as mentioned above. Roll 1d20+the profession bonus in the roll20 simulator and multiply by four. The only difference is that with five or more ranks the player no longer has to divide that result by two, instead receiving the full amount of the result as they are quite skilled in their profession now.

If a player character has invested points into a crafting skill and wishes to craft something we will follow these alternative rules for crafting.
