Login Name: Nightongale[forum name] xDustcloud[furcadia] Desired Clan: Fieldclan Desired Ranking:Warrior Desired Character Age:16 moons Preferred Warrior Name: Dustcloud Gender:Female Reference Photo: Okay, Dustcloud isn't that fat, but you get the picture xD Physical Description. Dustcloud is a slender she cat with striking yellow eyes. Her pelt is that of a regular ginger, with tabby stripes that mark her body with fur that is slightly darker than the rest. She does not have many scars or tears to her skin or fur, but only becuase she has been lucky and has not been in any fights... yet. Furcadia Description: Her fur is a light yellow with darker striped that slash her body, head, and then continue down her tail in ringlets. Her eyes are yellow, with one solitary black slit for each pupil. She is simple looking, not really a kind of cat that stands out in the crowd, but her kind, caring personality makes up for her lack of amazing beauty. [Mate: none] [Clan: None] Summarized Description: A slender yellow tabby she-cat with yellow eyes. History: Dustcloud was born and raised in Streamclan territory. After many moons of training as an apprentice, she is now a strong and daring warrior. Personality: Dustcloud is a gentle being. She is very sweet and kind,a nd loves to help other in need. She is so understanding and sweet that she wouldn't even think twice about helping a loner or a cat of another clan, unless they threatened her clan, that is. Sometimes she can be too nice however, and way too trusting. She always thinks of people as innocent until proven guilty. She is also a very clumsy individual which can sometimes put a damper on her hunting skills. But she is not only clumsy when she walks, but also when she talks. She can sometimes trip over her own words if she gets talking enough, and they can unintelligible sometimes. Website (if applicable): Sample Roleplay Post(s):Not sure if it could be from other sites, or from Furcadia, so I just posted it from another site instead. If you want me to make up a new one for Dustcloud, then just tell me. Her breaths were short and uneven as the fear that ravaged her body began to intoxicate her to her center. Blood was rushing through her large ears making it hard to hear, and her eyes were wide with her nervousness. Every little sound set her off and caused her to jump in fright, prepared to defend herself, only to find that the noise had been a drop of water or a small rock. It was incredibly dark, but she didn't dare summon a ball of glowing light to show her the way; not unless she wanted to suffer a horribly painful death. She was indeed risking her life just by walking into this terrible underground cave in the first place however, so if she did perish it certainly wouldn't be her spell's fault. Sahara stopped, listening to the silence around her before she continued once again. It was a dangerous game she was playing, and she was betting her life with a slim chance that she might win. The Dreaded Caves were not a place to play in, and it certainly wasn't a place to head into alone. But Sahara was bold, headstrong. If others could do it why couldn't she? But she also wasn't in here to prove a point or to show that she was indeed capable of being here. No, she was after something that she would only find here, in the darkest parts of the caverns. It was silly, because the one things she was frightened of meeting was the one thing she was looking for. Moorwens. Yeah, she was an idiot, hmm? But she wasn't the first one to do this dangerous task. The glow glands inside Moorwens were very expensive, and as you would have guessed, incredibly hard to get a hold of. But Sahara was determined. Maybe she was still hoping that she might come across a dead one...? That would certainly make her job easier. The low growl of something large came from directly in front of her. Sahara froze instantly, her hackles rising. Her exceptional vision allowed her to see the outline of the gigantic beast that towered a good one-hundred feet away from her. It was lounging, swatting at a rock which seemed to be in boredom. It was glowing slightly, and it surprised Sahara that she had not seen it earlier. She skirted to the wall, hiding herself from it's sight. Her paws scrambled against the stone and accidentally hit a small pebble however, and the minuscule rock tumbled down a few levels a stone before it stopped in front of the Moorwen. Sahara froze, and her hands began to heat up in preparation. There was a shuffling from around the corner, and the glow from the beast began to grow brighter. Sahara dared not make a sound so that the monster would make a scene, because where there is one Moorwen, there are sure to be more. The large beast began walking toward Sahara, it's large feet thumping against the cold stone as it did so. Each step was a heavy beating of Sahara's heart and the blood began to rush in her ears, making it difficult to hear the monster's grumbles. She first saw the rounded head as it cleared the corner, pointed chin and glowing red eyes. It's mouth was parted as if to taste the air, and Sahara could see the knife sized teeth that hung in it's awaiting jaws. Next came the shoulders, which were painted with spikes and had muscles that rippled under the tough, armor-like skin. It's chest then narrowed until it connected to it's back legs, much like the front, and then came the long tail with the glowing tip that followed the Moorwen's every move. Luck seemed to be in Sahara's favor, because the beast had not yet spotted her. It was only a matter of time however. She would need to be quick. Sahara closed her eyes, focusing on the aura around her. It was like a second skin that pulled away from her being and wrapped around the creature like a bubble. It was incredibly hard, trying to take hold of the beast's mind, because it was in fact a wild creature that killed without thought. The only reason she was even able to take partial control over it's mind was because it was a slightly intelligent creature. It seemed to click in both living beings when Sahara finally tied the last strings that connected her mind and the Moorwen's, because the creature stood still and Sahara was allowed to breath once again. It was a false relief however, because she was not advanced in the mind control technique, and there wasn't much time before the spell wore off. Sahara took off toward the cavern entrance with the Moorwen in lead. She only had a good 5 minutes before the spell would be broken, and by then she would need to be far from the cave if she wanted a chance to defeat this monster. If they were too close then the Moorwen would call for help and it would be all over. The two broke free of the dark and into the light as they made it through the entrance. Sahara went in a wild sprint in the opposite direction of the cave, though she could already feel the mental bonds slipping. The Moorwen grunted behind her as it lopped along, already able to feel itself once again. Sahara's only chance would be when he broke free of the spell, when he was confused and dazed. Then she would have a chance to strike. Sahara slid to a halt, crouching in a defensive position. The Moorwen stopped as well, stumbling slightly. It looked so out of place here in the open, where the sun kissed it's hard, dark skin. Perhaps the light of the sun would also be in her favor, since the creature was surely not used to the brightness. Finally, with a shake of it's head it turned, it's profile directly toward Sahara, she growled, teethed bared, and her fingers began to heat with the fire that she was kindling, and the fur on her palms began to singe with the fire that began to blossom. Do you have any other characters in the dream? If so, who? Nope. Edited by Nightongale, May 27 2010, 08:24 PM.

Looks alright, but StreamClan is currently closed to female characters (LINK). We can move this character to another Clan, or you can choose to wait for females to be open in StreamClan (which may take a while). |

It does look good, but the personality is lacking. I don't see any flaws or quirks or balancing traits for undying sweetness besides the "unless they threatened her clan" which isn't very explanatory really. (I hope that makes sense.) Also, question for other staff - yellow tabby? Looks ginger to me, or is that just another name for it, like red tabby? |

I would guess that it is another nick name for a ginger, I'm not completely sure because I've never really looked it up. My family just call my ginger cat a yellow tabby sometimes. :x |

I believe 'yellow' would probably be closest to describing her as a 'cream' tabby, or a 'light brown' to 'light ginger' color range. It could be any depending on what your preference is. xD But my cousin's have a cat that could be considered 'yellow', and cat colors in general are so vast that they almost might as well have a yellow tabby at an rate. Anyway, everything looks good. I'm not entirely sure what Eye wants to do since she's been moved to FieldClan however...? |

"Yellow" isn't technically a term for cat color, I don't believe, but it gets used a lot by people who aren't particular - even for cats that are very obviously not yellow. The only ones who will really harp on you for using a "wrong" term are the folks at places like the USDA, breeders, enthusiasts, and people weird enough to have standardized application forms for cats (coughUS). ![]() Anyways, if you want it moved to Field, consider it approved, since you've got a couple staff okays and mine already. The forms aren't different enough to warrant a redo at this point. |

Just talk to a staff member in the dream and they'll give you 'scent' so that your character may go into the IC. (: Also, just a gentle reminder, but the 'C' in all the clan names is capitalized whenever used. So instead of Streamclan, it'd be StreamClan or FieldClan. ;3 Edited by Froststar, May 30 2010, 08:44 AM.
