-After a wrestling match.....I’m in a state of nirvana. Win, lose, or draw....as soon as that refs hand hits the mat for the three count my mind goes to a place of complete silence. I don’t hear the fans reaction. The pain that I’ve received just seems to be closed behind a door in my mind. All the worries of life just seems to.......float away. -I’m off my high as I make my way to my locker room. Drenched in sweat and walking on a limp I gingerly make my way over to a table that has a chair next to it. I place my hands on the chair, doing my best to keep my balance. Nothing but a tweaked ankle. I’ll put some ice on it and work my training around it. I’ll be ready for my next match. Speaking of my next match, I see that Chris Constantine, my manager, has set up a camera for me to do a promo for the IJPW Strong Crown Championship Tournament. I hesitated at first. Schedule was already at my limits. And with the Kamikaze tour coming soon I needed all the rest I could get. But I was already going to be in town for my NJFC World Heavy Title Match, I might as well participate. -Looking over at Olivia Newman, my valet, I hold out my hand to motion to her to hand me one of my titles. The first one is that of the GOL Trios Title that I’ve won with Devin Hearst and Mark Storm. Taking the title I show it in front of the camera before tossing it on the table. I reach my hand out again, this time it’s the NGW Tag Team Title that I share with Matt Shields. I hover this one in front of the camera as well before letting it slip on top of the GOL title. My hand extends again. This time it’s the NGW Five Lakes Title. It’s the companies version of a Intercontinental title. And yes, that’s two titles from one company in my possession. Just like the GOL And Tag Title, I let that title fall on top of the other titles. One last time I reach my hand out. This time it’s the CWC Junior Heavyweight Title. Just like the rest.....I let it fall on the table. The presentation would be so much better once I win the NJFC Heavyweight Title, UKWF Tag Team Titles, and the Gulf Coast Wrestling Title. But I just don’t have them yet. I only have a few weeks to go to get those. I just have to wait and be ready. -I quickly fall onto the steel chair and start to unravel the tape that’s around my wrist. While doing so, I begin to talk. My tone low. All the confidence in the world is in my voice. And I stare into that camera as if I’m speaking to my opponent. Jack Tillman: “What makes a wrestler? Heart? Skills? Determination? Endurance? Smarts? Titles? I’d ask Delilah an Kinai......but I don’t think she knows much about wrestling. From the way that she talks to the way that she holds herself in that ring. She’s not a professional wrestler. She’s a gimmick. She’s a sports entertainer. Who am I facing off against really? A fighter or a Dungeon and Dragon cosplayer? See Delilah.....your making a mockery out of an industry that I care deeply about. You being in a ring with that getup and lack of wrestling skills.....your spitting on people like me who take this industry seriously. Your laughing and mocking the veterans that helped pave a way to what wrestling is today. Hell Delilah, your pretty much pissing on the graves of wrestlers who died in that ring. So Delilah.....I’m going to make this very blunt and straight forward to you.” -By now the tape is off my wrist and I’ve tossed it into a nearby trash bin. Slowly scooting the chair toward the camera, I get as close to it as I can so that you can still see my face. I don’t yell. I don’t bark. I don’t raise my voice. I lower it though so that I can get the point across and for Delilah to come closer so that she can hear my words and to see the look in my eyes. Jack Tillman: “Im going to hurt you. And please think that your 6’5 body frame is going to protect you because I’m telling you right now....it’s not. I’m going to cripple your 6’6 foot ass down to that mat and I’m going to stretch you. I’m going to make you feel muscles that you never knew existed. I’m going to take your fingers and I’m going to snap each and everyone of them so that you can never hold one of your gimmick Shields or swords or what ever you decide to bring in that ring again. And then I’m going to take that pretty little face of yours.....and just like Jack “The Ripper” in the late 1800s.....I’m going to carve up that face of yours with my finger nails. That wrestling ring.....it’s my church. My violence is my sermon. Your blood and your flesh is my communion to my followers. You Delilah.....by agreeing to this match you have sealed your fate into an everlasting damnation. So Delilah....my suggestion to you is this......either drop the gimmick.....or don’t show up at all because if you do decide to enter my ring...... I will make you suffer like you’ve never suffered before. Trust me when I say that Delilah.” -As always, I take my right index finger and give the camera lens a few taps before finishing the promo, Jack Tillman : “May God have mercy on your soul......because I will give you......none.” -And like that, the video cuts off. Leaving you with nothing.....but.....black. |
