Keiji Sugiwara is seen pacing back and forth in front The Peach Tree Hotel in Macon, Georgia. He's trying to hype himself up, he stops on his tracks when he sees the IJPW camera focusing on him. Keiji takes a deep breath, and nods.

Keiji: February, twenty eight. Tokyo, Japan. I get a chance to wrestle in my homeland. IJPW Strong Crown Championship Tournament, and who do I draw for round one? Joe Stanton, a man for whom I hold a great amount of respect.

Keiji begins to bounce on his heels, more mentally prepping for a fight than anything. His head rocks from side to side as he does this.

Keiji: We share something you, and I. Win, loss, doesn't really matter. All that matters is a good fight. I want to give you that, and I know I'll get that from you. But make no mistakes, this won't be a deathmatch. Nothing against them, or those who compete in them. But, I'm coming out swinging.

The Last Emperor begins to shadow box, he's in the zone and looks laser focused on the task at hand. This goes on for a few short moments, and Keiji abruptly stops.

Keiji: I know there are others in this tournament, I get that. However, I've always been of the school of thought, that looking too far ahead can be dangerous. I get there is a belt waiting at the end, but I'm not going to think about that Joe. Nah brother, as far as I'm concerned, it's you and me. Mr. Deathmatch versus The Last Emperor. I know you're very good with that right hand, I've seen what you can do with it. Me, I've got a right, a left, two feet, knees and elbows. Wrestling hasn't always been my sport of choice. Started in a cage, got my ass handed to me more than I won. But there is power in loss, it's a learning experience. Losing can teach you so much more than winning ever could.

Keiji heads for a green seventies model GTO, he walks to the driver side door, and places his hand on the door handle.

Keiji: As I leave, to board a flight for Tokyo, the question that remains is this. Who will be learning the lesson? Who will be moving on to the next step towards that belt? Who shot JR? Wait...scratch that last question, we already know who did that.

Keiji shakes his head, and begins to smirk a little bit. He tries to compose himself for a moment, and get back on track.

Keiji: I guess what I'm trying to say Joe, is see you in Japan. May the best man win.
