A New Place to Hide

Japan.

A sacred place.

One where he could hide.

And he found himself hiding there more than he'd like to admit. In the dojo's, where young boy's would watch him train and take notes, wanting to become like this figure who'd work for hours on end and relentlessly, never wanting to show any signs of anguish or pain through his workout.

"I need a new place to hide." he sighed, allowing a smirk to cement upon his lips.

Whispers lingered around the room. Could it be? Was it him? Your Hero and Mine here in Japan? Of course it was. The time had come where he would have to put everything he has to test. Everything he's worked for throughout his ten year career was being put on the line.

The Strong Crown tournament was now his only fixation.

Photo's were taken, poses were made and autographs were signed. Just another day for your resident hero who was continuing to spread his name throughout the wrestling world, with a large base growing in Japan. This was a perfect example of that. The scenes being one of admiration and joy as fans get to greet their favorite gaijin.

"Iron Japan. They didn't make the call to get me here. I did. I got my people to talk to their people and here I am, competing for this promotion for the very first time and it was on my accord. As soon as they announced the Strong Crown tournament, it enticed me. I was interested and I got on the phone and started making the calls, trying to make this thing happen because I knew, that this tournament was going to be special. And if you look at the lineup itself, it is promising to be special.

There's names that have been around for the last decade or so, names that are growing into household names, and names that aren't as known as others, names that are just beginning to tip toe into the industry. It's well versed and I'm honored to be apart of it. But of course, I'm not doing this for participation. I'm not doing this to up my fitness levels. I'm doing this to win. I want it all. I want to be heralded the Strong Crown Champion at the end of it all and I don't care who I have to go through to get it."
he paused, returning to signing autographs and sea of fans crowded around him. He signed a couple before explaining to them he had to finish this promo, then he would return to signing their photo's and posters. They nodded their heads in unison before watching him as he turned back to face the camera. "Everywhere I've been this year, it's been with intention. There's always an intention to everywhere I go. And everywhere I've been, I've accomplished something. I've ticked off that bucket list, packed that bag and gone to a new place to hide, a new place to tick off the list. That's been the story so far. And the story has been one of Your Hero and Mine dominating the wrestling industry.

That's what I've been doing. In Mexico with Jack Tillman and Devin Hearst. In the United Kingdom with Jack Tillman. All over the world with my brothers and sisters, the Dogs of War. And it isn't going to stop now or any time soon, and there's no one capable of stopping it. Though some will believe that they can. David Troy will believe that he can. A veteran, who calls himself 'The Warrior Monk'. A skilled kickboxer who's been doing this for quite some time yet he's relative unknown.

I don't know where you've been, Troy.

I don't know what you've seen.

I don't know what you've accomplished.

I don't know who you are.

And you're probably thinking, that's a vantage point right? That's what's gonna separate the two of us... you can expect something through watching video tapes of me and studying the way I do things in the ring. But let me tell you now, there's no preparing for Your Hero and Mine. You can watch a countless amount of tapes, of my old matches, and that won't even get you ready for what stands across the ring from you. You are not ready for what's about to happen to you."

No one could stop him. He felt on top of the world. He looked like he was on top of the world. He took a pause, an applause rang through the dojo from the viewers who were watching carefully, eagerly, hanging onto every word that escaped his lips, mesmerized by his cunning deliverance.

"I have the world in my hands, Troy. And as long as I have that, the only person who can stop me from winning this tournament, is me. No one else. You can try with all your might, with all your heart, and all your body - but it won't be enough. You're coming up against a man who's been dominating all over the world for the last decade. You're coming up against a man who holds three championship belts at this current moment and by the end of the Strong Crown Tournament, he'll have a third. You're coming up against a man who the crowd will want to win, even though they like you too. I'm sure they do. But you're not what they want. You're not who they care about. What they want, is a hero. Who they care about, is me. And as their hero, I've made a vow to honor them in winning this tournament. From Your Hero, and Mine."

He clasped his hands together, the scene gradually fading to black.
