![]() Thats right! the new RP Game that is a blatant rip off of the game Risk! Ever played it? I'm sure you did you big geek! (I know I did, I cried inside). If you had a social life when you where younger, and don't know how to play, then the object of the game is world domination by using your troops to take over your enemies countries. Now, you start with a certain number of troops and the more nations you control the more troops you can get. Now here is the little twist... it's based on your nations! So you can lie, cheat, ally, sneak and generally be a bit of a bugger during your quest for world domination. The map (which is plastered above here) is roughly based on the english map. Now please be assured that this isn't the civil war of England or anything like that, and of course I realise that war isn't a game but please stop reading too much into this and just enjoy the damn game. Obviously the winner here is the one who gets GLOBAL DOMINATION! WUHAHHHA! The Rules 1) Each empire will start with 2 nations and 9 troops which will be distributed randomly between the two. 2) You can only attack other countries which share a border with the one your attacking from or you can travel across the sea (the black lines) between certain countries. 3) Each move will be seperated by 'days' in a day, you can do what you like by posting like this:
A troop can only do one thing a day, so if you have 6 troops in one nation, you can't send 4 troops to battle then move 3 of the troops to a different nation. 4) Each 'day' you get new troops where you can place wherever you like. The ammount of troops you get depends on the ammount of nations you own and if you own any complete continents. The continents and the ammount of troop bonuses you get are displayed here, however you will always AT LEAST get 3 troops no matter what: ![]() 5) You can ally, cheat, deceive and be sneaky. You can trade as well, but you have to do that publically. Eg:
6)I think a maximum of 6 players for this game at the moment, and once you lose, you lose. 7) The outcome of a battle is decided like Risk, with the use of a random number generator. However you're more likely to win if you have more troops than the other guy (although that isn't always the case!) 8) Random events will happen. Some will be good, others will be bad. Finally, 9) Everything will be anounced at every 'day' announcement by me, along with an update with a map ![]() Hopefully this wouldn't be too boring for people to play, so if you're interested or if you want to ask questions or whatever, please post here. |

I'll join in, but not until the new year, I'm unlikely to be logging in much this week. I've only played Risk once though, and that was at least 10 years ago. |

Great stuff! I probably wasn't going to start until about the 4th or 5th of January anyway, so its all good. Ok so we have Nivogal DPL, asxtc, NDR. If you could choose your colours that will represent you on the map just by posting. Please don't pick White, Black, Dark Green or Light Blue for obvious reasons. |

Curses, I was too late to join the 6. Probably because my social calendar has been rather packed recently. But just because I have a social life dosnt mean I don't love Risk! |

Day One![]() Announcements The start of the game! You were all squeezed in and hopefully you'll be able to see the colours you've asked for. The darker blue is Nivogal to avoid confusion. Remember, random events can happen, and battles are done on a first come first serve basis, so if you attack a nation and that nation attacks you on the same day, it'll depend on the results of whatever the first one who posted was. Also if you could make troop orders stand out from normal conversation and trade banter by making them BOLD. Also, the only thing that must be public is trading. Alliances, deceit and espionage can be PM'd or whatever, however you may decide to announce your alliances if you wish. |

I think we need a map with numbered plots to make describing troop movements easier. Here goes: Use all my troops in my nation in the top left to attack the nation across the sea above my other nation. (Am I allowed to use all the troops, or do I have to leave one? I've only ever played one version of Risk, and that was back in my Amiga days. Also, are conditional orders allowed - for example, attack here and if the troops win move in troops from the other neighbouring nation?) |

Very good point but I think numbered plots would be confused with the troop numbers so... Behold! ![]() The Nation's "names" won't change no mater who owns them.
You are allowed conditional orders which will be followed if possible, remember that a troop can only do one thing a day though! Also could you redo your order please? Cheers

Is there place for forming alliances in all this carnage? Publically stating that 2 players have agreed something would let the cat out of the bag from the start... So those that have played this "version" before....Whats the score on "non-aggression" pacts and the like? (via pm or everything in the open?) |
