BACKGROUND

In the 12th Century the coastal regions of what is now the Commonwealth were settled by Celtic adventerous, in their Feudal society 2nd sons did not inherit land and as such they set off to colonise the largely uninhabited region they occupy today. The various clans formed their own Kingdoms until in the 14th Century the clans were united under a King called Derian. Over the next 200 years his descendents expanded his Empire and kept stability, however between 1600-1800 the states broke away in various formats. By 1830 the Empire had split into six Kingdoms. It was in 1833 that a military leader, Joseph McCaul, lead a rebellion in Glaik making the nation a republic. Over the next 20 years he instigated other rebellions in the other five nations until in 1854 the Treaty of The Six, was signed forming the Commonwealth that exists today.
