PSA Digiquip and you!

Digiqup = Digital Equip. Refers to converting a living digimon into pieces of equipment.

Digiquip is a type of digivolution that changes the mode of the digimon or digielf from their living body to an item state. Most Digiquips come in the form of a tool or a weapon, and sometimes a secondary item that has effects of its own. When digimon/digi-elves are Digiquipped, their power rating does not change. Digimon power is measured in “Power Datum” and the average for each stage are as listed:

  • Fresh Digimon have no PD value.
  • In-Training Digimon are worth 1~3 PD
  • Rookies average at 10 PD
  • Champion average at 20 PD
  • Ultimate average at 40 PD

Each Digimon and Digi-Elf has something in it known as a Digicore. This is the most important part of a digimon and is essentially it’s most important organ. the Digicore is the identity of the individual digimon. Becoming Digiquipped will mean the Digimon/Digi-Elf will not be aware of its surroundings, unless the digiquipped form is approved by Admins to have awareness.

When a DLF(Digital Life Form) is digiquipped, its consciousness and life force withdraw into its digicore, while its physical body transforms into a nonliving state, forming equipment that often share its power with the user. Digiquips can be damaged or rendered inert of its abilities upon damage.

When activating Digiquip for the first time, the DLF will become a unique item(s) for the user. This initial form is saved in the Digi-Nav that was used to initiate the equip, and becomes the default form for that user, where its shape and size will be set in stone. Each individual user may result in different default forms for any given unique digital life form. Note that digivolving the digimon will give it a new DLF Signature, meaning it can digiquip into something new.

The Digiquip application allots one save slot for each unique DLF signature that is digiquipped through it. At default it will contain enough memory slots for 12 DLF signatures.

Digiquip Stats are treated as such:
VIT: Viatlity - How durable the Digiquip is if it's stripped of defense or if defense is outclassed by attack or ability type.
ATK: Attack - How much physical attack it can inflict.
DEF: Defense - How well the Digiquip shakes off damage before shows wear/breakage.
SPD: Speed - How easy it is to wield the digiquip OR how much faster it makes you OR how much it aids your reflexes.
WIS: Wisdom - How strong the Digiquip's special effects are, such as elemental damage or abilities.

Digiquip Requirements, Restrictions, and PD Values:

  • When Digiquipped, the PD of the DLF can be re-allocated to fit the item it became, and will then be added onto the wielder (the Tamer's) stats. See the spoiler tags below for examples.
  • Each Digiquip has a limit to the amount of "Special Abilities" it can have, based off of the amount of PD the digimon has. That would be up to 1 ability for 3~6 PD, 2 abilities for 7~16 PD, 3 abilities for 17~36 PD, and 4 Skills for 37 and above PD.
  • Special Abilities are defined generally as "things this item normally would not physically be able to do" such as generating more energy (e.g. laser beams), unlimited ammo, ability to fly, special resistances, flight, etc.
  • "Common sense" and "natural traits" does not count towards using up a Special Ability slot. e.g. a blade made of fire cannot be damaged by fire, or that a digimon made of fire may digiquip into a flaming sword, or that a flashlight can produce normal light.
  • For multi-elemental DLFs, the Digiquip is only allowed to exhibit up to 2 elements that are set in stone and cannot be changed for that Digiquip.
  • Types of Equipment: most typings are straight-forward, such as swords, shields, armors...but there are restrictions.

    • You cannot gain a near-full armor-set from a single digiquip unless the DLF has at least 20 PD, and the more PD means the less gaps in the armor. At roughly 20 PD, the armor-set you try to obtain will have very minimal protection...such as just a basic helmet, breastplate, arm guards, knee pads, and footwear. It takes generally up to 40 PD for a digiquip that is an armor-set that requires little gap-filling. (The Personal Defense Apparatus can make up for that.)
    • Please make sure your weapons and shields are of acceptable size for the type and level of DLF you are digiquipping. We will try to leave that to common sense.
    • A cape can be classified as a shield-type digiquip if it is used for defense only.
    • Accessories are classified as items that bring no real offensive or defensive value if it were any normal plain object, such as pendants, badges, crowns, etc. and cannot be smaller than the volume of a ping-pong ball.
    • Please make sure digiquips receive stats allocation and abilities that makes sense for the object; e.g. a shield should not have high attack and low defense; jetpacks/wings should have mostly WIS and SPD; accessories should have little to no defense and is recommended at least a 3 in VIT to prevent easy breakage, etc.

  • About Resistances and Elements: Resistances and Elemental Affinities require a specific amount of WIS in order for it to be applied, and must make sense based off of the DLF that is being digiquipped. e.g. a Meramon Digiquip would not be resistant to water, or produce water. The Restrictions and WIS requirements for resistance/elemental affinity are:

    • No single digiquip is allowed to exhibit/be made of more than 2 elements. If the DLF is associated with an element, the digiquip is not allowed to have an element that is different from the DLF's.
    • If the DLF is associated with only 1 element, you logically cannot have it digiquip into something that shows 2 elements.
    • An ability slot will be taken if the weapon exhibits an element when the DLF does not, or if the weapon is made of an element that the DLF is not associated with, or if the weapon is NOT made of the element the DLF exhibits but is able to generate said element. Example of a circumstance for the last part: A Meramon digiquips into a sword that visibly looks to be made of metal, but can make flame-strikes or create fire; that will take an ability slot.
    • If the digiquip itself has an element, it is logically able to handle/resist and possibly deflect hostile elements that match it, but cannot provide the wielder the ability to have bare-handed contact with hostile elements.
    • At least 20 WIS is required for the digiquip to provide immunity to 1 element of choice for the user's entire being, but if the WIS of the attack exceeds that WIS stat by 10, the immunity will be outclassed. This will take up an ability slot.

  • All Digiquips need to have the following form filled out so that everyone can see the hard work and thought you've put into it~
  • It is preferred that new digiquips, especially guns, accessories, and those with non-basic special abilities are presented to the Admins before they are used in an RP.
  • Admins reserve the right to limit certain abilities or retroactively disapprove of abilities if said ability proves to be disruptive to RPing.

Example Digiquip:
"Sanctus Regalia"

-------Upgrade to the Digiquip app. No longer has a limit for saves, allows up to 4 forms for each Digital Life Form. Allows Sealed Weapon Digimon to be released back into their natural form.
