The fans of the original films get so salty and triggered by the mere existence of this film that it breaches levels of patheticness only reached by those who have been deemed, elitists and hipsters. Using a very simple trolling strategy utilized by the Tinychan.org poster who goes by the moniker of "The Doctor". I have managed to trigger emotional responses from the native population of /r/ghostbusters. I have yet to see the latest version of the Ghostbusters story, but from a few regular moviegoers who likely are not upset over a movie featuring female protagonists, the movie was deemed an enjoyable piece of cinema. Which, in the end, is the ultimate goal of any motion picture.

NOTE: Most of my posts have been downvoted so you'd have to expand them. Which is evidence of such emotional responses.

I quite liked the new one. Especially Melissa Mccarthy. She always brings hilarity to her characters.

Leslie Jones seems obnoxious though.
