Some of you guys coming in here may be a bit stumped when being asked to make a custom move. After all, you may only just be getting a grasp of how combat works. Customs are designed to be a flavorful addition to your set. Way back in the day customs were used to get a lite version of a move in another style. Later on it became more popular to get crazy with it. The last two SLs (Revival, and the later one Revelation) developed a number of custom skills made by many players. To give you an idea of what to look for, I'm going to share them here with you. (To any veteran player that don't want to have their customs on the list, by all means tell me and I'll take them out.) The following list is comprised of customs used by other players throughout the years to help get a feeling for a new direction to take our move lists. Dragon Ball: Revival Aeron the limb collector Custom Moves: Nightmare Slash [FREESTYLE, PHYSICAL, WEAPON] Description: Aeron's entire body seems to have monsters coming from it as he charges his opponent. Each slice seems to make his opponent weaker to blades. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Physical attack doing (100% Power) Damage. SUCCESSFUL - Your attacks that require a Sword weapon deal +(5% Power) Damage for the remainder of the Match. The next time you perform a single dice attack that requires a Sword Weapon, you may reduce the base damage to (0% Power) to have that attack gain "SUCCESSFUL - SEVER" for that turn. Costs 7 KI Points. Requirements: Sword Weapon Dream Swordplay [FREESTYLE, SKILL] Description: Aeron becomes slightly ethereal and his body seems to phase through objects. He uses this to his advantage to increase his ability to slice with his blade. Effect: CONSTANT - Your attacks that require a Sword cannot have their KI Point costs modified by your opponent's effects. After using a Block, your next attack that requires a Sword gains +3 to the result(s) and does +(10% Power) Damage. Costs 2 KI Points. Requirements: Sword Weapon Aiden Endaril. Sword punch man Building Momentum [ FREESTYLE, CUSTOM, CONSTANT SKILL ] Description: Since his time traveling Aiden's style has changed and adapted to a more aggressive, beatdown aspect. This is reflected heavily in his ability to overwhelm his opponent with repeated assaults. Effect: CONSTANT - You cannot be prevented from STUNNING your opponent from their non-Mastery effects. When your opponent's turn is skipped, gain 1 Ki Point. Costs 2 Ki Points. Requirements: N/A Training Days: Custom Aiden's Heroism [FREESTYLE, SIGNATURE, ALL TRAITS] Description: A special combination attack used by Aiden in time of need. The method may change but its end result is always the same: placing the heroic human in an advantageous position to come out on top and save the day. (Twice per Saga you may interfere with a non-Tournament Battle involving "Reina" and perform this attack, then immediately leave combat. You must be on the same planet to apply this effect. If a player's HP would be reduced to 0 with this effect, set it to 1 HP instead.) Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Physical attack dealing (30% Power Damage) per hit. Your attack roll for this attack is 4d32 and cannot be modified. SUCCESSFUL - Your opponent loses 1 KI Point for each SUCCESSFUL attack roll. If three or more attack rolls are SUCCESSFUL, STUN. Costs 6 KI Points. Requirements: N/A Training Days: Custom Ankou, a Willy Wonka Nightmare Steam Power [FREESTYLE, CONSTANT SKILL] Description: A Majin always has a head full of steam. How the Majin puts this steam to use all depends on the situation. Effect: CONSTANT - If your attack is not enhanced by your Mastery, that attack does +(10% Power) damage. If your attack is enhanced by your Mastery, that attack gains +1 dice side. Costs 2 KI Points. Separating Globs of Goo [FREESTYLE, PHYSICAL, MANIPULATED KI] Description: Ankou explodes himself. His gooey flesh flies in every direction like shrapnel and then comes back together after the damage has been done. Effect: Physical attack doing (100% Power) Damage. SUCCESSFUL - Gain (25% Total HP) HP. If your attack roll was 27 or higher, gain (50% Total HP) HP. Costs 8 KI Points. Bastion. Beep Boop, Break.exe Titan's Maw [FREESTYLE, PHYSICAL, WEAPON] Description: After getting his momentum going with his Gravitas, Bastion begins to outclass even the fastest weapon users with the speed he manipulates his own. The titanium rod comes crashing down on the opponent from any direction once Bastion sees an opening, so for your own sake, learn to dodge. Effect: Physical attack doing (55% Power) Damage. If you used an attack with BREAK! in the effect on your last turn, this attack gains +3 to the result and +(5% Power) Damage. SUCCESSFUL - If your attack roll result is 25 or higher, BREAK! Costs 3 KI Points. Amorphous Impact Layer [FREESTYLE, BLOCK] Description: Bastion’s body is covered entirely in a layer of ballistic gel developed from studying the Majin. With it, no single attack can topple Bastion. The adaptive quality of the suit cannot withstand multiple attacks indefinitely, but can brace itself for another attack of the same type. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Stop a physical or energy attack. If the attack was an energy attack, that attack costs +1 ki point next time it is used. If the attack was a physical attack, that attack does -15% damage the next time it is successful. Costs X KI points. Carcer Jackrum Deceptive Swordplay [FREESTYLE, SKILL] Description: Your skill with the blade has reached the point that severing limbs, has become a matter of course. Effect: CONSTANT - You may perform a SEVER when naturally rolling 1 lower than what is normally required. Costs 2 KI Points. Requirements: Sword Weapon Dallas the Stun Gun Two for Flinching [CONSTANT SKILL] Description: An incapacitated opponent offers an opportunity that should not be wasted. Dallas makes sure to put a little extra into every free shot he gets. Effect: CONSTANT - You may pay the cost to activate this Skill after STUNNING an opponent instead of taking up your turn. If your opponent skipped their last turn due to a STUN effect, your next attack roll gains +2 to the result(s). Costs 1 KI Point. Here’s the Kicker [CUSTOM, FREESTYLE, PHYSICAL, HOLD, WEAPON] Description: Once you have your opponent right where you want them, why not take them down a notch? Dallas grabs an opponent’s limb at random and gives it a good smack with his gun. Effect: Use only immediately after STUNNING an opponent. Physical attack doing (30% Power) Damage. If your attack roll is 30 or higher, BREAK!. Costs 2 KI Points. Requirements: Gun Weapon Dario Vess, I hear he trains newbs on Namek now. Fool's Fury [FREESTYLE, CUSTOM, CONSTANT SKILL] Description: Sometimes the frustration of fighting an untouchable opponent can wear on a person's nerves, and they start to throw extra moves in just to try to make sure something sticks. Unfortunately for them, Dario sees more incoming attacks as more opportunities to catch his opponents offguard. Effect: CONSTANT - Choose one of your opponent's Advanced Attacks. That attack gains a descriptor of your choice. You may negate the first time that this skill would be deactivated each Match. Costs 1 KI Point. Requirements: N/A Not Just a Meat Shield [FREESTYLE, CUSTOM, SKILL] Description: It isn't enough to be able to take a lot of hits; being purely passive will only force an opponent to take longer to beat you. Focus up and play your trump card while your opponent's struggling to get past your defenses. Effect: Activate when you STOP one of your opponent's attacks with a dice roll of 30 or higher or with a Block. At the start of your next turn, you may play one Skill without it taking up your turn. You cannot play more than one skill during that turn. If you Blocked an attack to activate this Skill, this Skill costs 0 KI Points to perform and cannot have its cost increased by your opponent's effects. Costs 1 KI Point. What Doesn't Kill Me [FREESTYLE, CUSTOM, ENERGY, MANIPULATED KI] Description: Pushing his aura outward, Dario sends a massive wave of energy out in a pulse towards his opponent. Clashing with the enemy afterwards brings some of that energy back, recharging him in preparation for another move. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Energy attack doing (110% Power) Damage. SUCCESSFUL - For the remainder of the match, gain 1 KI point whenever you STOP an attack. For the sake of multi-dice attacks, only the first die counts for this effect. Costs 7 KI Points. Detective Smith Red Tape Description: Bureaucracy is a messy business, and when it comes to navigating it no one is quite as skilled as Detective Smith. He can push paper to get and keep whatever he wants. Good luck getting your hands on something he’s not done with yet. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Activate when your HP reaches 0 and you die: prevent losing all of your zenni. This does not take up a turn. Gouki Aura of Invincibility[FREESTYLE, CUSTOM, CONSTANT SKILL] Description: The user becomes enveloped in a golden aura that thickens the air around them so much that nearly nothing can get through it. Effect: CONSTANT - Your Dexterity Bonus is added to your roll results instead of adding to the sides of your dice. Costs 2ki. Dragon Slave [FREESTYLE, ENERGY, BEAM] Description: The user channels their ki into a ball of energy that erupts in a beam toward the opponent. The resulting explosion is said to destroy even stars. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Energy attack doing (120% Power) Damage. If your opponent has been to Heaven, roll 2 attack rolls and take the higher result. SUCCESSFUL - Roll 2dX. X = The total number of your opponent's Advanced Attacks + Signature Techniques. Select 1. Your opponent cannot use that attack for the remainder of combat. The remaining attack has it's cost increased by 1. This increase cannot be prevented by any means. Costs 8 KI Points. Ioner Nevitz The Pain of Loss Custom Skill Description: Having lost so much in such a short amount of time has costed Ioner a bit of his sanity and even a bit of his own soul. Ioner can share this pain through simple contact through touch or through ki energy. Custom Skill Effect:Constant- Whenever your opponent's dice results or ki points are affected by your successful attacks that opponent suffers (10% Power) Hp. Costs 2 Ki Points. Silent Requiem [FREESTYLE, ENERGY, HOLD] Description: Clasping his hands together in prayer, Ioner begins to hum the lullaby he used to use for his son. While doing this tendrils of black ki begin to dart toward his opponent with the intent to squeeze the life out of them. Effect: Energy Attack Dealing (50% Power) Damage. SUCCESSFUL - If your opponent's dice sides or results are being affected by your Technique effects, increase that amount by 1. This effect ends when your opponent rolls a 20 or higher on a single dice attack roll. If your opponent lost 1 or more KI points on your last turn due to a Kurokonwaku effect, gain 1 KI Point. Costs 3 Ki Points. Kalkavek the Badmin Judgment Night [FREESTYLE, PHYSICAL, MANIPULATED KI, PUNCH] Description: Mimicking the event that finalized the Inner Cosmos War, the user fills the surrounding miles with a consuming darkness. Kalkavek mixes his own Ki with this unnatural night energy and wraps the thick shadows over his hands, striking at his opponent from the shadows. If utilized properly, he can rip the opponent's shadow out momentarily, reducing them from their current form to their true physical state. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Energy attack doing (40% Power) Damage. Your attack roll is 3d30 for this attack. SUCCESSFUL - If two or more dice rolls are SUCCESSFUL, your opponent is reverted to Base Form. Costs 6 KI Points. Requirements: N/A Star Breaker [FREESTYLE, BLOCK] Description: The user is surrounded in a thin layer of shimmering energy that acts as protection against an incoming attack. If the attack was powerful enough, the energy aura shatters and infuses the user with hidden power stored inside. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Stop a physical or energy attack. If your opponent's attack roll was high enough to be copied by your Bio-Android Transformation, you may activate a CONSTANT Skill. Costs X KI Points. Requirements: N/A Ametrine Prime, the grand daddy of trolls, the Master of Deception, the ruinner of worlds, and an all around fun guy Heart of Glass [FREESTYLE, SKILL] Description: Deep in his years of hedonistic meditation on the true meaning of harm and selfishness, Ametrine learned that those who bide their time learn how to do the uttermost harm. Being passive aggressive is the best method to harbor one's malice and consequently unleash it. Effect: CONSTANT- You may activate this skill when you use a block. You cannot perform CRITICAL attacks while this Skill is in play. You may perform a COUNTER when your natural defense roll is 1 lower than what is normally required. If your Dexterity is higher than your opponent's, then you may COUNTER when your natural defense roll is 2 lower than what is normally required. Costs 2 KI points. Lady Amethyst, the sequel to the worst(best) thing to happen to the site. Once fused with bubble gum and killed a god Deus Est Machina [FREESTYLE, ENERGY, BEAM, CUSTOM] Description: Summoning three holy lances to hold her prey into place and a fourth divine lance to judge her quarry's karma, Lady Amethyst speaks the holy words paraphrased from a black market Shin-Jin scroll. The effect is a devastating quelling effect to the aura of her opponent. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Energy attack doing (30% Power) Damage per hit. Your attack roll is 3d30 for this attack. If your target has been to Hell, this attack does +(30% Power) Damage. SUCCESSFUL - If all attack rolls are SUCCESSFUL, your opponent cannot modify any dice sides/results with non-Mastery effects for the remainder of the Match. Costs 6 KI Points. See No Evil [FREESTYLE, ENERGY, MANIPULATED KI, CUSTOM] Description: Amethyst's aura manifests as a deepening white that envelopes all around her, upon saying the magical words of an ancient prayer to an unknown god, spirits erupt from her seeking to dispel evil in all forms. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Energy attack doing (10% Power) Damage per hit. Your attack roll is 11d30 for this attack. If your target has been to Hell, they must roll two defensive rolls and take the lower result. SUCCESSFUL - If your opponent is defeated through this attack, they are not slain but may not engage in PvP combat for 7 Days. They still suffer all other effects of loss, such as Zenni transfer, Dragon Ball transfers, and [DESTROY POTENTIAL] cancellation. Costs 7 KI Points Ms. Strange, Had a literal Tardis Inner Rage Description: The battlefield is nothing but chaos and destruction, those who focus on finding their inner peace are the first up for a slaughter. Embrace the chaos. When you get hit, get angry! When you feel pain, get even! Let their attacks be the fuel on your fire. Effect: CONSTANT - Whenever your opponent performs a SUCCESSFUL attack against you, gain 1 KI Point. If that attack is a multi-dice attack, only the first dice roll counts for this effect. Costs 2 KI Points. Wit's End [FREESTYLE, PHYSICAL, KICK] Description: With a merciless swarm of kicks, Strange can tend to hit people so hard they forget who they are. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Physical attack doing (10% Power) Damage. Your attack roll is 11d30 for this attack. SUCCESSFUL - Your opponent loses to use their Racial Traits for 1 turn per hit. This effect acts otherwise like the Tuffle Racial Trait. Costs 8 KI points. Naomi Belladonna, Pirate Lord, bitch! Quick Draw [FREESTYLE, ENERGY, WEAPON] Description: With a little aid from Edward Blake, Naomi is capable of drawing her weapon at incredible speeds and able to take advantage of her opponent's slow speed. Effect: Use only immediately after STOPPING a Blast-Type or Beam-Type. This does not take up your turn. 30% Power Damage, "SUCCESSFUL - If your attack roll was 20 or higher, your opponent loses 1 KI Point. If your opponent is already at 0 KI Points, you gain 1 KI Point." Cost 1 ki point Requirement: Gun Anne’s Revenge [FREESTYLE, ENERGY, WEAPON] Description: A curse passed down from generation to generation in the Belladonna family. The legend behind it states that a Belladonna sold their soul to wield powers from hell itself to save them from whatever fate was bestowed on them. While the legend is told differently depending on who you ask, the fact remained that this ability is passed down to each Belladonna, morphing any firearm into a Anne’s Revenge, a terrible pistol of great power. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Attack that does (80% power) damage. For the remainder of the Match, One of your equipped Gun Weapons becomes "Anne’s Revenge". SUCCESSFUL- You may perform one Basic Weapon attack without taking up a turn. You do not have to use this effect immediately. Costs 6 KI Points. Requirement: Gun Anne’s Revenge Description: The design looks similar to a flintlock pistol. While it’s steel shines like gold while the wood carries a dark red color to it. Flames erupt from every crack and crevice of the gun making it appear to burn the holder. While the flames harm others, to a Belladonna, nothing is felt. A black chain can be seen connected from the hilt of the gun, always wrapped around the arm of a Belladonna, under their sleeves. Where the chain goes is a secret only a Belladonna would know. Effect: Weapon - Firearm. Unlimited Ammunition. While equipped, attacks that requires a Gun Weapon gain +2 dice sides. RESTRICTEDx1: Basic Weapon Attack using a 1D50 base attack roll. Chou no Ryoku does not have a dice cap limit for this attack. Weapon Stats: Damage: (20% Power) Damage per hit. Rate of Fire: 1 Reina, the true Super Saiyan God UnBREAKable Description: In combat it's all about stopping your opponent in his tracks and breaking them to your will. The user takes a defensive stance against her opponent and becomes an impenetrable force strong enough to shatter bones. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Stop a physical or energy attack. Your next two attacks with BREAK! in the effect gain +2 to the result(s). Costs X-1 KI Points. Ground Breaker [CUSTOM, PHYSICAL, BLAST] Description: Using her reinforced mechanical strength, Reina utilizes brute force and drives her fist into the ground repeatedly. The result is devastating shockwaves of bone rattling proportions. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Physical attack doing (25% Power) Damage per hit. Your attack roll is 5d30 for this attack. SUCCESSFUL - If three or more attack rolls are SUCCESSFUL, BREAK!. If all five attack rolls are SUCCESSFUL, BREAK! x2 instead. Costs 7 KI Points. Richard Richard's Sub-dermal Endo-Skeleton [FREESTYLE, SKILL] Description: There's a reason why Richard is so spry for his age, and this is it. Long ago, he built a support system for his bones that will keep him alive long past his original due date by absorbing ki from his surrounding environment. Effect: CONSTANT - Upon a successful single dice attack or defense roll result of 20 or higher, gain 1 Ki Point. This Skill cannot be played without taking up your turn. Costs 3 Ki Points. Rorie (Meow) Cat's Got Ya Tongue Description: Kitty has her claws, you know! A hard, sharp punch to the gut makes her opponent open their mouth to gasp for air, where she takes the moment to get their tongue in her grasp, and begins to flail them into the ground and whatever else is around. If she hits hard enough… That tongue is now hers. Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Physical attack doing (100% Power) Damage. If your attack roll is 20 or higher, your opponent has +250 WPD added to their next 3 Quests. This effect does not apply in Spars. Costs 6 KI Points. Sykes, the friendliest cut throat pirate you'll ever meet. Dyne [FREESTYLE, CONSTANT SKILL] PENDING REMOVAL Description: By learning to suppress his aura in order to work as a thief, Sykes learned to siphon off the excess energy of others and squirrel it away for use later. Any energy emitted using absorbed Ki is a dark red. Effect: CONSTANT - Whenever your opponent loses 1 or more KI Points due to your effects, gain 1 KI Point. You cannot gain more than 1 KI Point per turn from this Skill. You must pay the cost of this Skill in order to activate it. The cost of this Skill cannot be reduced. Costs 3 KI Points. Accelerated Swordplay [FREESTYLE, CONSTANT SKILL] Description: Adopted from Bell, Sykes focuses his ki along the backs of his hands and has it explode from his wrists in order to boost his power and send his rate of attack into overdrive. Effect: CONSTANT - Your sword attacks do +(10% Power) damage. Your attacks that require a Sword gain "SUCCESSFUL - If your attack roll was 25 or higher, you may perform a Basic Sword attack before the end of your turn.". Costs 2 KI Points. Requirements: Sword Weapon Getsu-ei [ FREESTYLE, PHYSICAL, WEAPON ] Description: Sykes calls upon the power familiar to all Saiyans: The Moon. Transmitting away, the opponent looses sight of Sykes. They notice that the moon is somehow full and directly above them. Sykes seemingly emerges from it, rocketing downward to deliver a meteoric stab, breaking the sound barrier just before impact. If the attack misses, the sonic boom wont. Effect: Physical attack doing (30% Power) damage. STOPPED - If your opponent's defensive roll was +5 or less than your attack roll, STUN. If their defensive roll is between +6 and +10 your attack roll your opponent cannot power up on the next turn. If their defensive roll is +11 or more your attack roll you take (5% Power) damage. Costs 1 Ki Point Requirement: Instant Transmission, Sword Monkey Reflexes [FREESTYLE, PHYSICAL, HOLD] Description: Sykes catches the swinging weapon by wrapping his tail around the attacker’s wrist. He then spins to ram his elbow deep into the attacker’s gut, effectively winding them enough to make their attacks less effective. Effect: (This attack takes up a Skill slot instead of an Advanced Attack slot.) Use immediately when you STOP an attack that requires a weapon. Physical attack doing (10% Power) Damage. This does not take up your turn. SUCCESSFUL - Choose one (If Critical: chose 2): -Your opponent cannot STUN you for the next 6 turns. -Your opponent cannot CRITICAL against you for the next 6 turns. -Your opponent cannot BREAK! against you for the next 6 turns. -Your opponent cannot SEVER against you for the next 6 turns. Costs 1 KI Points. Requirements: Be Sykes Togashi, Took him a whole season to find out he's a half saiyan Salamander Swordplay[FREESTYLE, CUSTOM SKILL] Going on the all out offensive the blade master gives up all doubt, focusing his mind for precision. Effect: CONSTANT - Your attacks requiring a sword gain +1 to the results for every active skill with "Swordplay"in the title. Your opponent's attacks do -10% damage while this skill is active. Costs 3 ki points. Swordplay Master [FREESTYLE, CUSTOM SKILL] Description: The master of the blade has a bond with his sword so deep and true that even when the mind is fogged, the blade sees beyond the veil and guides its master. Effect: CONSTANT - Attacks with the "Sword Weapon" requirement, cannot have their dice modified by an opponent skills or mastery. Your opponent's effects cannot prevent you from inflicting a SEVER effect. Costs 2 KI Points. Hollywood Super Star Trellocks (Hide yo wives) Blood and Ki Description: Most haokiru users can use their life force to power attacks, but it's only haokuro users that can take their opponent's life force to heal themselves. Effect: CONSTANT -Your single dice Advanced Attacks gain "Successful- gain back any health you lost from non-damage effects this turn." If you roll a 23 or higher on a single dice attack, you may activate this skill without taking up your turn. 2ki points Caustic Miasma [FREESTYLE, ENERGY, MANIPULATED KI] Description:A rare trait given by Odin's glass heart is the ability to expel miasma from ones pores. Trellocks expels a thick yellow fog-like gas from his pores choking out his victims and concealing him. The acidic miasma blisters skin on contact, and the victims body becomes forced to expel Ki in order to live. The usual Effect: RESTRICTEDx1. Energy attack doing (100% power) damage. Your opponent loses 1 KI Point at the beginning of their turn until they roll an attack roll result of 23 or higher on a single dice attack. SUCCESSFUL - Your opponent's single dice attack dice gain -4 sides until they roll an attack roll result of 23 or higher. This effect does not stack with other dice side reductions. Costs 7 KI Points. Tron, but like not that disney movie Hyabusa Strike [FREESTYLE, SKILL] Description: Tron activates his thrusters and delivers A flurry of weapon strikes to break through his opponent's defenses. Effect: Perform a Basic Attack this turn with one of each type of weapon you have equipped. Each counts as a separate attack. If both attacks are SUCCESSFUL, your next attack does +(15% Power) Damage and gains +2 to the result(s). Costs 3 KI Points. Zormos, NYAA! Custom Skill Name: Bodyguards [FREESTYLE, SKILL] Custom Skill Description: Zormos's bodyguards swarm his opponent, enabling him to escape into the backrooms or audience. Everybody wants a piece of Zormos, but there just isn't enough to go around. Custom Skill Effect: Activate when you Power Up. You may perform an escape roll on the same turn. If effects are preventing you from performing an escape roll or hampering your escape rolls, you may pay 1 KI Point to negate those effects. This Skill cannot be used until Turn 8 or later. Costs 1 KI Point. Custom Advanced Attack Name: Special Guest [FREESTYLE, ENERGY, MANIPULATED KI, BLAST] Custom Advanced Attack Description: Zormos brings in a special guest for the Zormos Show. Not only does the intergalactic crowd go wild, but the guest always brings a special performance to the table that puts the ratings out of this world! Custom Advanced Attack Effect: RESTRICTEDx2.
