...definitely doesn't stay on Namek; Ginyu Force Vs. Space Bros [Mikan]

Continued from here.

The two Saiyans stood shoulder to shoulder on the bridge of the revenge, staring intently at the main viewing screen that took up the front wall. Displayed on this screen was a live feed of a blood red planet, its surface marked with asteroid craters and thick scars that denoted ancient riverbeds that had long since dried up. The dessicated world had 2 small bands of ocean at the north and south, as well as 2, even smaller, rings of ice at the poles; the rest of the planet formed one giant rocky continent which was dominated by mountains that were probably once beneath sea level. It was unclear what exactly had caused this world to be in such a sorry state, but it hardly mattered to the two men who stared silently at the rapidly growing planet on the screen. They weren’t here to see the sights.

The room was dark other than the ruby light which shone from the display and bathed everything in a macabre kind of half-light, which seemed to fit the atmosphere quite well. Both men stood with their arms folded across their chest and neither had spoken for several minutes; the taller of the two, always the more talkative, finally broke the silence, though he never took his eyes off the screen when he spoke to his friend.

"We good?"

The meaning behind the question was clear; Raditz wanted to know if Mikan was ready to begin their descent to the planet on the monitor as there would be no turning back once they did. Lexi had cut the power to the main engines as they had entered the system and they were currently coasting towards their destination, the red planet below where their quarry had led them. She had sniffed out the hyperspace trail they had left when departing Namek using the ancient, yet somehow fantastically advanced, systems installed on the Revenge and it had led them here. Coasting as they were, they would probably remain undetected but Lexi would need to engage the engines soon, either to land or to avoid being pulled in by the planet’s gravity altogether; once she did this, whoever it was they had been tracking might well notice they had been followed.

Mikan didn’t respond to Raditz’ question with words, but by flaring his energy. Any normal individual would have noticed nothing other than a brief flickering of the already dimmed lighting circuits within the room, which would have been written off as a power surge from the engines. But the engines were off and it was the Saiyan General who was responsible for this energy spike. Raditz felt the power pouring from his brother in arms and it was all the go-ahead he needed,

We’re good. He thought to himself before giving the order to make planetfall.

"Take us down, Lexi. Fast."

The Revenge screamed through the red planet's atmosphere on the steepest possible course of entry Lexi could manage without causing damage to the ship. The geforce placed upon the vessel was phenomenal, yet neither of the Saiyans moved an inch from where they stood, both having grown up on a world where the gravity was many times more powerful than the pressure being placed upon their bodies now; as it was, they hardly noticed a thing. Their attention entirely focused on the energy signals that were growing closer and closer. Once the ship cleared the first two layers of the atmosphere, Lexi leveled off the approach slightly and informed the two warriors that it was time.

"Clearing the Thermosphere now. The air might be bit thin, but you two should be more than capable of surviving out there. At least for a short while."

"Thanks Lexi..." Raditz said, already on the move. "...we’ll show ourselves out."

The bridge doors slid open and the two Saiyans burst forth into the corridors beyond, all-but-flying through the ship’s arteries that led to the nearest airlock. In less than 30 seconds they had entered the airlock and were waiting, somewhat impatiently, for the motorized door to lift far enough to all their departure. When the thick blast door had opened around halfway, Raditz clapped Mikan on the shoulder and said.

"Well then General. Let’s go and ruin someone’s day."

He would then leap out into freefall, rose-tinted aura bursting forth and taking hold of his body as he sped towards the gathered energy signals below.

They found them as they ate.

There were 5 of them gathered in a rough circle around a campfire; the smooth metal orbs that were their main mode of transportation lay grouped together beyond them. They were certainly an eclectic bunch; Raditz couldn’t make out their features from this altitude, but 2 of them were apparently massive, probably 7 feet tall at least and incredibly broad. On the opposite side of the spectrum, two others were tiny by comparison. Raditz would have mistaken the smallest one for a toad were it not for the armor he wore, which was of standard P.T.O design.

Despite the fact that neither warrior had made any attempt to hide their power as they approached, the collection of warriors seemed to be completely oblivious to their presence as they consumed their meal. He supposed that he shouldn't be surprised that they weren't able to sense energy like he could, after all, he'd only learned how to do this a relatively short while ago and, as far as he knew, Mikan still might not be able to replicate this feat. At any rate, this was sloppy, he could see the scouters affixed to their faces; even if they weren't able detect energy signatures unaided, they should have these devices set to passively scan for large power signatures, that was basic operating procedure for the P.T.O. Either these guys were just plain ignorant, or incredibly confident.

Well, we can’t have that now, can we? Raditz thought.

Wordlessly, he turned to his friend, shaking his head in mock dismay. With a devilish grin on his face, Raditz motioned to his friend to follow his lead, raising two fingers first to his own eyes then pointing down at the group below them in the universally acknowledged gesture for ”Watch this, it will be fucking hilarious!”

Turning back to the hapless victims below, Raditz raised both hands in front of him, palms facing the sky. Immediately, 2 pink orbs of ki began to form, one in each hand. Once the size and potency of the spheres seemed sufficient, the wild-haired Saiyan screamed at the top of his lungs.

”Hey douchebags, you left these back on Namek!”

He flung the two spheres towards the gathered warriors, picking two targets at random before immediately generating another two identical attacks and launching them at a different set of targets. He would then wait to see how they reacted to his assault and whether they would provide any sort of a challenge at all to the two newest Saiyan Elites.

As the four balls of energy silently flew down through the air toward the five, colourful individuals, they seemed all but oblivious to them. The attacks exploded in quick succession, one after another, immediately filling the immediate area around the men in a cloud of darkened smoke that near turned the environment opaque in the night's sky. With a helpful gust of wind, the smoke blew off into the west, revealing the welcoming glow of the campfire that had resided between the five sitting men of the Ginyu Force. Yet, what had been their fate in the wake of the four attacks?

With the last of the smoke clearing away the now standing form of Captain Ginyu came into view, his hand outstretched toward the sky in quite the dramatic pose and a sphere of energy, of his own creation, having encased the entire group. He had saved them from the dreaded, surprise attacks. It seemed as if not all of the members of the Ginyu Force were entirely inept. Naturally, the Captain of the elite unit had been vigilant. After all, they were currently located on a strange and hostile alien world - or rather it had been hostile until they had rid it of the vermin that had invested it, but you never could be too careful.

“Crikey Cap’, you’s saved our backsides! What a bloody legend!” Jeice exclaimed, scrambling up from the floor.

“Tis all in a day's work, Jeice.” The Captain replied smugly. “Such attacks are nothing bit bug bites to the indomitable Captain Ginyu.”

“Too right they are!”

By this point, they were all up on their feet, though none of them appeared overly concerned by the fact that they had just been attacked. In fact, despite all reacting very differently from each other, each member of the Ginyu Force seemed more concerned with their own worries, thoughts and agendas than the attempted attack. It was all quite chaotic in a weird, somewhat flamboyantly odd way.

“Who dares attack the mighty Ginyu Force?!” Galdo growled. His small, stubby form was up on its feet now and he was shuffling from side-to-side while he looked for the enemy. “Let me at em’! I’ll show em’ who they’re messing with!”

“They spoiled our dinner! I didn’t even get to my chocolate parfait dessert…” Burter muttered to himself sadly.

“Heya Captain, can I bash some more skulls now please?” Recoome lazily asked, grinning and laughing to himself. Though he was ignored.

“Aw’ight, that does it! Come on, m8s! Let’s decide who gets to fight these lil’ ankle biters! Time for a good ol’ game of Rock, Paper, Scissors!” Jeice cheered excitedly as he turned to the others and raised his game hand.

“Not today, my excitable subordinates.Today we are going to do something a little different,” Ginyu stated calmly, his eyes still fixed on their two opponents upon high.

“But why, Cap’?” Jeice tilted his head in curiosity.

“What have I told you all about exercising rule number one-hundred and sixteen of the Ginyu Force handy handbook?” Ginyu asked them all, his hands planted firmly on his hips.

“Never turn off yer scouter unless yer wankin’ off to a Sheila.”

“Never turn off your scouter unless you’re doing something ‘private’.”

“Never turn off your scouter unless you’re doing something ‘private’.”

“Always d-”

Ginyu immediately cut his eyes at Galdo, who had been the only one of the other four men to not answer correctly and as one; even if Jeice had answered in his own, special manner. The little, green alien lowered his head even lower, his plump cheeks flushing a purple colour in his embarrassment. Satisfied that he felt abashed for his foolish mistake, Ginyu looked back to the rest of his men, though he would have to pull Galdo aside later and speak to him in private. The Ginyu Force handy handbook was mandatory reading and being the newest recruit was an excuse that would only fly for so long!

“Indeed.” It was an incredibly important rule too, especially since it had been introduced due to his own personal slip-up some years back; he should have double-checked the scouter wasn’t transmission before meeting up with someone like Zarbon. “And have any of you followed this rule?” The answer was clear as day, but he still allowed them to answer him; they wouldn’t learn otherwise.

“Na...”

“No...”

“No...”

“No...”

All four of them said simultaneously.

“Precisely. If you had you would have not only noticed the oncoming attacks, as I did, but you would also know that these two opponents will not be easy prey. Their power levels stand beyond that of one-hundred thousand a piece.”

Such a high power level was nothing to laugh at. Very rarely had he seen or fought against such powerful opponents, especially two of them. Only Lord Frieza had a higher power level than that, as well as perhaps Prince Cooler and King Cold. Still, such a prospect did not worry the Captain. He was stronger than them both individually and he had seen himself and his team through worse scrapes in his time. It was simply a shame that neither of the opponents were stronger than he; it had been quite some time since he had upgraded to a newer model.

“B-b-but C-captain! Only you have a high power level than that!” Galdo sounded worried, though was clearly trying to hide it with bravado.

“Indeed. They shan’t be a challenge for me, and they’ll prove lethal for the likes of you, Guldo.” It was all calmly spoken. A cool and collected Captain was a reassurance for all of his men. Perhaps he should have partaken in the ‘Dance of Reassurance’ instead? Alas, now it would just have to wait for a more appropriate junction. “Jeice, Burter, Recoome; I want all three of you to take on these two upstarts. Individually you may be weaker than them both, but as a unit you’re superior.” The Captain explained before pointing up at their two opponents dramatically. “Show them the elite might of the Ginyu Force!”

“Yes Cap’!”

“Yes Captain Ginyu!”

“Heheh, OOOK!”

Saiyan Vanguard

The entire trip, Mikan had been silent. His eyes had been focused on the screen and that usual smile or smirk that was on his face had faded away. Who ever had attacked them was a group of cowards, and when they had finally torn their way free and started this hunt, Mikan had been in a foul mood. They had hours and hours of a lead on them. For all his command experience, he hated it when things panned out like this. He had even gone as far as to change his clothing. Gone was the clothing he had been wearing, the light shirt aimed for real training and had gotten back into his high class Saiyan armor... Or what looked like it.

Mikan had spent a pretty bit of money on this set of upgrades, adjusting the fit on his armor to fit him, and to keep the armor a bit closer than normal. He was adjusting everything about it, and making as many upgrades on it as he could. When they finally hit the end of the trail, they were overlooking a blood red world. It almost looked like Planet Vegeta, but it wasn't. It only made his blood boil that much more. This place had been picked for a reason. What ever these fools felt they were, they were about to be a pile of bodies.

When Raditz spoke, Mikan gave only a soft nod, though their eyes never left the screen, he knew Raditz would sense it. The shift in Mikan's energy, the way he poised himself in battle. Mikan was currently in that mindset, he was ready to do this, to make these assholes bleed slowly, to make them whimper and scream in pain and terror. He narrowed his eyes as the ship shifted now, starting towards the planet's atmosphere.

The ship shook as it entered the atmosphere. Lexi's voice spoke but Mikan wasn't listening as much as he should have. Raditz moved, and he knew it was time. The scouter had finally locked on the beings who were their targets. “Rest of the world is dead. Picking up five signatures, nothing massive, but then again, it really doesn't matter. If these are the people we are after, they are going to be left upon a world with no name, in the middle of no where space, with no one to mourn them and no grave to mark their passing.

He spoke as they tore through the ship like a bat out of hell, hitting the airlock and ducking inside. They waited for the airlock, and when it hit half way, Raditz clapped his hand upon his shoulder and spoke. “After you my friend. Let's go say hello.

Jumping out of the ship with him, Mikan fell through the air for a moment before his own aura kicked up, the darkened steel color of his power burned up around him, and he burst from the free fall like a demon tearing free from hell itself. They both rushed towards the power that was out there, the warriors who had ambushed them back on planet Namek. For now, they were simply figures off in the distance, and the fact they had not noticed them was... Sickeningly lazy. If they had scouters, scouts, or could sense energy, they would have long since seen them coming this way.

As the smoke cleared, everything came back into focus. There was a fury that roared up in Mikan's heart. He could see who all it was, and it made him clench his fists tightly. There was more anger in him than he had known he had. The Ginyu Force... Clenching the weapon he carried tightly, he landed on the ground next to Raditz, looking at the fools as they stood up, nearly sucking off their leader for just making a barrier around them as they ate their meal and preventing them from being vaporized by the attacks thrown at them.

Once it was all decided by Captain Ginyu, Mikan would point at Jeice. “Remember me? Do you bitch!? You ran back on Planet Vegeta, after trying to murder a woman and child while looking for fun. Well guess what? My promise that I made? The one about taking your scalp off your head and nailing it to my wall! Yeah, I'm here to collect on that after you ran away for a second time!” He said, grinning as something inside of him seemed to snap.

His energy would flow into his weapon, igniting the blade of it once more as he looked at the red skinned alien. His eyes narrowed slightly as he prepared himself. He was working to contain his rage, and he hoped his taunt helped make the red skinned alien focus on him. Mikan's energy would flare to it's peak, his aura still very, very much alive and ready to go. Unlike with many, there was no yell, no scream, nothing to signal he had powered up expect for his energy peaking around him. The wind would kick up as well as Mikan took his fighting stance. Ready or not, Mikan was about to charge.

Raditz, this is Mikan. I am establishing telepathic communication so we can call for aide in the event we are in trouble. Some times voices are harder to pick up then mental images and powers.” He said in his mind, sending the thoughts to Raditz. “The Red Skinned one is mine. You can take anyone you want besides him.

With that out of the way, Mikan's energy had topped out, his eyes narrowed, and he burst forwards like a bullet from one hell of a gun. While he was not as fast as he could have been, he was still fast enough to close the gap in less time than it takes for a blink to start. Once was in range, that weapon of his followed the track of how he would punch this one. The speed of the launching only seemed to add to the raw force of it all, Mikan's eyes had taken on a very, very cold quality. Mikan had aimed not for the head, or neck, or even any vital organs, but he instead aimed for limbs. This was going to be this one's Final Stop.

The technique used was something that Mikan had designed himself. He had only used it in training, and had never had a chance to use it for real, but he was aiming at muscle groups, the attack was aimed to cripple, seeking to cut off limbs, or (in the event that failed), he was aiming to damage muscles to knock down the enemies ability to dodge, to move, to fight back. While Raditz was the kind of person who would keep the battle at a range with powerful energy attacks, Mikan was in your face, he was going to hear your last breath if he had his way about it.

Before long the two attackers lowered themselves to the ground not too far away from where the Ginyu Force was stood. In that time both Captain Ginyu and Guldo had moved a little way off so that they were out of the way and in a more comfortable position to spectate. With them out of the way and their opponents here, it finally meant that they could get things underway! Bending to stretch his legs, he would no doubt be needing their speed in this battle, Burter used the opportunity and the calm before the storm to scout out his two opponents.

“So they’re Saiyans. They’re probably angry about our little trip to their homeworld that the King ordered.” Burter theorised aloud to his two comrades.

Low and behold he turned out to be right, which the Saiyan with considerably less hair confirmed when he spoke a second later. Burter crossed his arms over his chest and casually looked back and forth between the scruffy Saiyan and his crimson-skinned best mate. So he had a problem with Jeice specifically, or rather something he had done back on planet Vegeta? It even sounded as if the two of them had met. By all accounts, from what Burter could remember at least, they had all been relatively tame on that mission! Still, there was no reasoning with a Saiyan; they were such a stubborn race.

It seemed the Saiyans weren’t one for chitchat, as the angry one wasted no time in going on the attack. Sword at the ready and his energy charged for an attack, Mikan moved at tremendous speeds as he charged Jeice in an attempt to attack him. He clearly wasn’t messing about. At the speed that he was moving any normal opponent wouldn’t have a chance of properly defending against it. Even Jeice wouldn’t be able to do anything about such an attack, and he was second only to the Captain himself! However, when it came to speed Burter was no normal opponent.

Before the two attacks could hit their mark there was a blue blur of motion and both attacks were countered by two rapid, flying spinning kicks, one to the Saiyan’s shoulder and the other across his jaw. The two counters interrupted the other man’s attacks and knocked out of his stride, which in turn completely destroyed any building momentum or pace in the battle that the Saiyan had put in motion when he had attacked. With everything in the clear Burter quickly moved back and stood next to Jeice, choosing to showcase his incredible speed even in that moment.

“Thanks, mate, you’re a right ripper!” The red man exclaimed once he had realised what had just happened. “The next schooner’s on me! Ya hear? It’s the least I can do for mah best pal!” Jeice called out with a wave.

“It was no problem for the Blue Hurricane - fastest in the universe!” The snake-man exclaimed. Pointing both of his arms up in the air but out to either side of him, he raised his right leg and bent it at the knee as he made pose number four of the official Ginyu Force poses! “Burter!” He finished, grinning smugly. His opponents were strong, but neither of them was as fast as he.

Space-Bro!
Raditz wasn’t particularly surprised by the energy field that was revealed once the vapour from his energy blasts had cleared the area; after all he had sensed how powerful this group of individuals were back upon the surface of Namek and now he had faces to put to the power levels. It appeared that the big purple alien (the strongest among them if his senses were to be believed) had erected a force field at the last possible instant and completely nullified his initial assault.

"Hmm." Raditz pursed his lips and nodded with approval as descended to ground level along with Mikan. "Not bad, guy. I suppose you’re the big cheese here?."

But the Saiyan’s question went unanswered when the group of warriors before him began to slap each other on their proverbial backs and chatter amongst themselves, paying no mind to either of the men who had just dropped out of the sky and attacked them. Raditz folded his arms across his chest and cocked his head to the side, struggling to believe that such a ridiculous group of warriors could possibly exist, let alone be this powerful.

A quick glance to his left and he saw Mikan, his powerful muscles rippling under the flesh on his forearms as he clenched and relaxed his grip on the long pike he held in his grasp. It was obvious that his rage was bubbling just beneath the surface and the wild-haired Saiyan wondered whether the gaudy bunch of warriors would cease their discussion before Mikan’s patience ran out. As it happened, they would.

The purple one appeared to take charge of the situation and quickly disseminated his orders; it would appear that he and the smallest one of the group would sit this battle out. Raditz thought that this was a ridiculous idea.

That’s a ridiculous idea. I know he scanned us with his scouter, does he really take us for such weaklings? He grinned slightly at the idea. Well, he’s in for a surprise.

During all of this, Mikan had kept remarkably calm yet, the moment the quintet ceased their discussion, he jabbed a finger towards the red one and began unloading some fairly colorful threats at the orange-skinned warrior; it seemed they had a history prior to their ambush on Namek. This piqued Raditz’ interest.

"Psst...." He raised a hand and covered his mouth as he whispered to his friend. "...you know these weirdos?"

His question would go unanswered however, as the next thing Raditz knew, he was hearing his comrade’s voice resonating inside his brain; Mikan was utilising the telepathic abilities both of them had recently acquired whilst on Kanassa to speak to Raditz using the power of his mind. That was smart, telepathy was a far more efficient form of communication than regular speech, especially during a battle. It seemed that the other Saiyan wanted the loud orange man for himself, which was fine by him; the two bigger men looked like they would provide plenty of entertainment.

"You got it, General." He replied, also using his mind. "I’ll have some fun with the other two while you’re busy. You can tell me who they are after we kill them." Raditz turned to face their opponents, who were busying themselves with what appeared to be various extravagant warm-up routines. "Ready when you are."

Raditz’ final message acted like a starter’s pistol for the Saiyan General. Bursting out of the proverbial blocks, Mikan rushed the noisy alien with his deadly blade, hoping to inflict a serious wound on his opponent before he could even react. This was unsurprising, as Mikan was generally a no-nonsense kind of fighter, brutally efficient. What was surprising was the speed with which the blue one reacted.

Woah.

Almost as soon as Mikan launched his assault, the powerfully-built blue alien moved with a swiftness that belied his size. He was almost impossibly fast, (even to Raditz, who prided himself on his speed) and was on an intercept course for Raditz’ partner in crime.

Oh, no you don’t!

And the wild-haired Saiyan was the next to move. The blue one was coming at Mikan from his flank, and the former was travelling with too much momentum to be able to abort his attack, so Raditz moved in to assist. His powerful legs launched him over the cracked terrain towards the conflict, arriving just in time to position his body between that of Mikan and the large, blue speedster. Two powerful kicks sliced through the air in rapid succession; Raditz had been hoping to counter these attacks with his own, but it was all he could do to shove his friend out of harm’s way and deflect the force of the kicks with his forearms.

"Don’t worry about this guy." He said, aloud this time.

But he didn’t take his eyes off the aqua-skinned behemoth, who had backed off a little ways and was, once again, chatting with his comrade. Raditz’ arms were stinging from the force of those attacks.

That wasn’t just a fluke, this guy has some seriously impressive speed at his disposal.

Not wanting to give his enemies too much time to regroup, Raditz pressed the attack, this time singling out the only remaining combatant in this little skirmish, the other brute (who could almost pass for human, were it not for his incredible size), he stood a short distance from the other two and seemed to be staring at Mikan and Raditz with a somewhat vacant expression on his huge and battle beaten face.

Heh. He thought. Reminds me of Nappa.

The Saiyan elite suddenly brought both hands in front of his body and aimed them at the giant man. From the tips of his extremities on either hand, two waves of ethereal energy shot forth, spiralling and intertwining into one as they approached their target. This attack would serve to show the Saiyan’s if all of their opponents were capable of such feats of speed, he very much doubted it. If this enemy was anywhere near as fast as the blue one, he should be able to dodge the ice-ray but, if he were hit by it, he would suffer some fairly debilitating side-effects. Either way, the next few moments would provide the Saiyan duo with some useful battle intelligence.

"Hey ugly!" Raditz yelled at the red-haired man-mountain, a euphoric grin on his face as he launched his ice-ray. "You need your lizard friend to save you too, or can you fight your own battles?"

“H-He parried my attacks!” Burter called out in utter surprise, albeit a little delayed. Quickly realising what he had accidentally said, the large blue-skinned man looked to Jeice, who was pretending he hadn’t heard. “W-well, I guess I’ll just have to use my full speed next time!” He added, laughing loudly.

“Yeah mate, I’m sure ya will!” Jeice called out encouragingly, though Burter wasn’t fooling anyone. “After all, your the fastest bugger in all the Universe!”

“That’s right! I am!”

Whether or not Burter truly was the fastest being in all the universe he wasn’t there was nothing wrong with encouraging and reassuring a best mate! Regardless, the truth of the matter hadn’t stopped Burter from saving Jeice’s hide. Even if the counter-attacks had been countered (a counter-counter?), they had spared the red-skinned warrior from taking what appeared to be a painful couple of sword attacks. That bloody Saiyan moved fast! He hadn’t seemed this strong or nimble back on planet Vegeta! Damn Saiyans and their obnoxious strength.

While all this was happening Raditz, who’s hair Jeice couldn’t help but admire, went on the attack once more, only this time aiming it directly toward Recoome. The largest man on the Ginyu Force, who was yet to actually join in, was just standing there with a pretty gormless expression on his face. Jeice just grinned to himself. Recoome could handle himself, so there was no need for him to worry himself about helping out. That meant, with the big-haired Saiyan busy with Recoome, that Mikan was alone and ripe for attacking! It was time to show this Saiyan the power of someone who’d been the star pitcher in the Galactic Little League when he was a little nipper!

Jeice sprung up into the air a little and raised his left hand high above his head. From there the space Aussie pulled back his right hand and began charging his Ki. A crimson hue engulfed his already red skin as a sphere of energy the same colour formed above the upturned palm of his left hand. It grew to roughly the size of a volleyball, which was quite apt because once it had reached that size Jeice right arm flew forward and slammed into the back of the energy ball. The dense ball of Ki was spiked through the air at tremendous speeds, directly toward Mikan. If that scruffy Saiyan had a problem with him, then they’d just have to settle this like men!

As soon as the attack had been fired, for there wasn’t a lot of space between the two men, the second in command of the infamous Ginyu Force landed back on the floor and instantly slipped down onto one knee. From there Jeice raised both arms up in the air and angled his hands down, instantly slipping into his own official Ginyu Force pose. This pose, however, went far beyond just a standard pose that anyone in the Force could use. This pose was his, he had created it himself! Just using it filled him with pride.

“Feel the bloomin’ wrath of the Ginyu Forces Red Magma, Jeice!”

So, the blue one was really as fast as he claimed. Ok. That was going to make things annoying, but not impossible to deal with. At least Jeice was still focused on him. That would make it easier to kill him when the time came. The so called 'Red Magma' was currently patting his friend on the back for stopping the attacks that Mikan had launched. Fine, he wanted to play that way, they both could play that way. He smiled darkly as the Ginyu Force boy hopped into the air like a red and white rabbit, charging up energy with all the grace of a dying swan.

Mikan reached out with his mind, back into the connection between him and Raditz. These fools are the Ginyu Force, they are Frieza's top dogs. If I had to wager a guess, they had come to Namek seeking out those Dragon Balls we had used and were going to take them for themselves to give back to the Galactic Emperor. Though, I am rather glad we got to them first, it makes this that much more amusing. The blue lizard is Burter, claims to be the fastest in the universe. The red haired one you just iced is called Recoome, a brute squad all on his own. This red bastard is named Jeice, he tired to kill to a few Saiyans shortly after I got to the point of being a Royal Guard.

Over there, the green one, that is Guildo. Heard some rumor's about him, but nothing serious, at least I never took it serious. Rumor has it he has telekinesis and the like, somewhat like we do. He claimed to be the most gifted telekinetic in the universe, we will have to put that to the test. Finally, the big purple one is the leader, Captain Ginyu himself. He is the one that we need to watch for. He is stronger than nearly his entire crew slammed together, and is a semi decent leader to boot. Only ever failed once, unless you count him fleeing come the attack on our world, then it's twice.
Mikan said in his mind, sending it at the speed of thought to Raditz. Telepathic connections made life so much easier.

The orb that formed in Jeice's hand was one of his signature attacks, the Crusher Ball. He had seen training videos made by the Ginyu Force on team work and team tactics, but this was... Honestly kinda amusing. He popped his neck as he waited for it to reach full size, and when it did, he slapped it at Mikan like it was a volley ball, like this was some kind of game and he wasn't fighting for his life. Mikan's eyes narrowed as it rushed towards him, and he could see Jeice was already so confident it would do something, he had struck a pose like he was a hero of a childrens' show.

Mikan would have to teach him otherwise... And it was going to be most painful for the red skinned alien to learn this lession. The attack hit Mikan, who honestly just stood there, his eyes narrowed like he didn't even see the attack. When the attack exploded, it sent up smoke and dust all over the place, and it looked like everything was more than solid for the strike. Perhaps Jeice did have nothing to worry about it. Perhaps Mikan had put a lot more into his speed than his general ability to survive a direct hit? That would have been funny if not for the fact that there would be terror in a split second.

From the dust, Mikan would once more burst forwards like a bullet from a gun, his weapon pointed slightly behind him and his eyes locked on the face of his foe. Mikan wanted to see the terror that in this one as he realized just how helpless he was about to be. The way the strike would come in was a lot more forward than anyone would really expect, the attack was not aimed for finesse, it was built for raw, physical damage. With the addition of a blade, it was set up to be down right lethal if one person were to be on the wrong end of it. The sheer power behind this would make it nearly impossible to block, and there was no way someone could get a parry in, and the speed would make to hard to dodge too.

Fall...” It was a simple thing, but the weight of the words, the fact that Mikan wasn't pulling any punches, it gave the power more meaning than some people really could understand. Only those who really knew what was to take the life of a real warrior would understand the sheer gravity of what Mikan had just said, how unsettling it could be to those who were not used to something like this.

But Mikan was hardly done. No matter the outcome of this attack, if Jeice was slain, knocked out, managed some kind of defense, or worse yet, was royally embarrassed in front of his commander, it hardly mattered. Mikan had shifted what he was doing almost instantly. Not wanting to give up all his momentium like this, he would pivot slightly on his toes, shifting just enough and then rushing right towards Recoome. The same tactic he had used before on Jeice was now being placed here. Mikan was going to attempt to cut through the massive muscles of the brute, seeking to slow him way down and cripple his ability to do battle, to fight anyone when combined with the tactic that Raditz was doing, freezing his muscles to slow him down and allowing Mikan to further cripple him for the long run.

He knew this fight wasn't going to be easy, and Mikan had already taken a moment to calm down. He was able to think, and he was already adjusting his tactics. He wasn't going to be a massive difference, but it was going to be enough to help put his foes down a little bit faster each time he was able to strike. The Ginyu's might have been powerful in their day, but now, with the time he had been able to train, to practice, to grow, he was starting to outstrip everyone and everything. Raditz had helped him to these heights, and he was going to be damned sure it was all going to improve even further, until they were the greatest warriors in the universe.

Recoome Doom!
How boring the battle was turning out to be so far, though he guessed that it had just started. No one had attacked him! Though he couldn’t really blame them. He was big and muscular and strong and they were just small and not as muscular, though he guessed they were sort of strong. At least that’s what the Captain had said. Recoome hadn’t bothered to activate his scouter to scan them himself. Why bother when the Captain had already done it? Besides, it was just a bunch of numbers and numbers just hurt his head and made him dizzy. He didn’t like being dizzy.

Still, it was no fun just standing there while Jeice and Burter got to have all the fun. They hadn’t even done rock, paper, scissors, so why couldn’t he join in too? That was a good point… why couldn’t he join in too? Was there a reason? With seemingly exaggerated slowness in his movements, the large oaf reached up and scratched the back of his head in thought. Wait… who said he couldn’t just join in? The other Saiyans had been attacking whoever they liked, plus Jeice and Burter had been doing what they liked to. He could do the same!

However, before the big lug could move and take part in the action, he noticed that not just one of the Saiyans but both of them were trying to attack him. Grinning widely he glanced from one opponent to the other as they both made their moves against him, the clogs of his brain lazily turning toward a decided reaction. Thankfully Recoome wasn’t one for thinking, mostly relying on his battle prowess, instincts and muscle memory to get him through a fight. And so, as the beam of spiralling, wispy energy shot toward him he readied himself to deal with it.

“Who’re you calling ugly?” He yelled slowly in response, realising what the Saiyan had said. “I’m gonna make you even more uglier!”

Leaning back slightly he inhaled deeply and for an abnormally long time, his chest noticeably inflating as he did. Just before the cold beam could hit him, and as the other Saiyan rushed toward him from roughly the same direction to poke him with his sword, Recoome stopped inhaling and exhaled with a mighty force. It was like a localised hurricane ripping forth from his maw, the force of which instantly redirected the ice beam away from him and directly in the path of the other, attacking Saiyan. Even if the ice beam hit and slowed the Saiyan, that still left Recoome with the pointy attack to deal with.

Just as the sword thrust forward to pierce the goliath of a man, he swung both of his hands forward and clapped his hands together against either side of the blade, holding it in place before it could truly stab him. It hurt his hands but compared to the amount of damage he would have otherwise taken it was little more than a tickle. Holding the sword in place, and by extension its owner, it would have otherwise been the perfect opportunity to counter-attack. However, instead, Recoome leaned forward so that his big bead was closer to the Saiyan and smirked widely while laughing gormlessly in his face.

“Hehe… hey you guys, that tickled!”

Now this is just getting ridiculous. Raditz thought as he witnessed the battle unfolding all around him.

Despite the sheer force of the attacks that were being tossed around by the combatants, this really didn’t feel like a battle, at least none that this particular Saiyan had ever been involved in. His partner, Mikan, had been charging between the colourful warriors like a sentient missile, lashing out with strikes laden with killing intent, yet the Ginyu Force had rebuffed all of his assaults with a succession of weird and wonderful techniques, escaping harm each and every time. All of this in addition to the fact that none of them seemed even remotely fazed by the life and death situation that they found themselves in.

It would be infuriating if it wasn’t so damn impressive. It brought a smile to the Saiyan’s lips, even as he witnessed the big-brute reflect his ice-ray attack with an incredibly powerful breath from his lungs.

He was beginning to see why they were regarded as the most elite of Frieza’s forces; besides the two of them, Raditz didn’t know of a Saiyan, alive or dead, who could hold a candle to any of them, and that included Prince Vegeta (although he knew just how much a member of his race could improve, if given sufficient opportunity). Now it was the Saiyans who were being pressed once again; Mikan was currently rushing headlong towards the orange-haired giant on a direct collision course with the reflected Ice Ray technique.

That’s probably not good. He thought before sending to Mikan. ”Keep going, I’ll run interference.”

In a blur of motion, he took off at a full sprint towards the pair of warriors about to clash. With about half the distance remained, the wild-haired warrior from Vegeta planted a foot in the dirt and launched himself high into the air, somersaulting as he vaulted over both Recoome and Mikan. As he passed overhead, he released a second Ice Ray, which he aimed directly towards the ground, this beam would hopefully intersect with the reflected attack, shunting it into the earth and nullifying it in the process.

”That takes care of that”. Raditz sent. ”Swing away, Mikan.”

He left the carrot-top to the General.

As he reached the apex of his leap, Raditz’ eyes locked on to the other giant, the blue-speedster (Did he call himself Butter?) he had briefly tangled with before. Raditz knew that this man could be a problem if left unchecked; he was simply too fast to allow him to keep doing as he pleased. As it was, the newest Saiyan elite was unsure whether he would be able to keep up with him in terms of raw physical speed, but he wasn’t entirely out of tricks yet either.

”Ok, new plan.” He sent to Mikan, twisting in the air and unleashing his rose-coloured aura as he altered his trajectory and launched himself at, what he thought to be, the Ginyu Force’s most tricky member. ”Try to do some damage while I keep this guy occupied.”

With this, Raditz propelled himself rapidly across the terrain directly towards the gigantic alien, and launched a flurry of strikes at Burter, hoping that his momentum and the ferocity of his blows would take his opponent by surprise and carry him backward, separating him from his comrades.

”Come on, bright eyes!” He taunted as he attempted to trap Burter in a melee exchange. ”Let’s see that speed!” Grinning the whole time (he was actually starting to enjoy this). ”Unless you were bluffing and this is all you’ve got. In which case, you’re up to your neck in monkey-shit, my friend.”

The Blue Hurricane
Already the battle was descending into a form of controlled chaos. Well, perhaps it wasn’t too controlled, but it was the sort of chaos that the Ginyu Force thrived in. Not that they’d been challenged enough in their time to really be drawn into too much chaos, as long as you took planet Namek out of the equation. Captain Ginyu had told them to treat that entire unfortunate incident as a learning curve and something to learn from. It didn’t happen often, especially to the fastest in the universe, but there were things a person could learn from defeat.

Still, as the large, blue-skinned man stood there and watched both of the Saiyans attacking Jeice and Recoome respectively, yet neither of them was attacking him! That made Burter grin smugly, his fangs pressing down into his tongue as flicked out of his mouth to taste the air. They were scared of him! No doubt because of his impressive display of speed earlier, when he had been defending Jeice. After all, who would want to dare step against the fastest being in all of the universe?! He honestly couldn’t blame them for feeling that way. If he had been in their shoes he probably wouldn’t have wanted to fight him either.

Only, even as Burter was thinking about all of this, all the while proudly posing in his infamous Ginyu Force pose, someone swooped in toward him unsuspecting and... socked him right in the side of the face.

His big frame staggered back a few steps as he tried to get some sort of sense as to what had happened to him, as well as stopping himself from toppling over backwards, but before he could do even that he felt another punch slam into the right side of his stomach. Thankfully this caused him to lean forward ever so slightly, which also stopped him from falling backwards when the third punch struck him in the chest. The punches were nothing to sniff at, but he had experience stronger! That damn Saiyan that had defeated him on Namek had hit harder… he thought? In truth, it was hard to remember beyond the fact it had hurt.

It was then that he noticed that the Saiyan attacking him was the very same Saiyan who had parried his counter attacks! It was insulting to think that someone could match his speed. Almost match his speed, that was. This Saiyan was quick. Quick enough to warrant notice from Burter, which was no small feat. Still, it was time for the Blue Hurricane to show this Saiyan what real speed truly was! The last attack landed against him had started to spin his body, so using that momentum Burter sprung up into the air, spun his body and completely overwhelmed the last of the Saiyans oncoming punches with yet another of his trademark javelin kicks.

“As you wish, monkey!” Burter proclaimed with a hiss, his body near flickering out of existence because of how fast it moved. “Behold the overwhelming speed of the fastest in the universe!” It was time to see how the Saiyan stood up to true speed.
