As you might expect, this is exactly what its name suggests; a league that will be held on the site that revolves around battling. Fighting is a huge part of the DB universe and this is a means to promote that same competitive atmosphere on this wonderful site!

So how does the league work? The Battle League itself is out of character. This is not an in-character event like a world martial arts tournament. Think of it as a system that runs in the background, in tandem with your battles. Each league will run for approximately a three (3) month period, though an end date will be posted up in the relevant threads upon the league's official start. In these 3 months, you will all earn “points” for battling, which will then be tallied up in an effort to help you progress up and top the league. The standards points that will be given out, and the reasons why are as follows:

  • If you WIN a battle you gain 5 points.
  • If you LOSE a battle you gain 1 point.
These points (and any others that you earn) should then be claimed in your weekly updates, just like any other gains that you receive. From there, when a member of staff is looking through your update, they will then adjust the league accordingly. Then after the league has been completed a new league will begin (with perhaps a week or so break in-between). Any battles started or finished during this break will still be included in the next league, so there's absolutely never a bad time for a battle!

Challenges / Bonus Points

As further incentive to battle, you will be able to snag some additional points throughout the league by actively seeking to complete certain “Challenges”. By completely these certain actions, some that will be statistical and action based, while others will be tailored to a more in character role-play approach, you will earn much needed extra points that could see you to the top of the league! Some of these challenges will vary from league to league, often linking directly on to other events on the site. On top of this, the occasion point or two may or may not be given out or taken away by members of staff if they feel like a situation warrants it.

So keep a weather eye on the horizon for these!

Conquering the Summit

Your effort, sacrifice and risk-taking may just pay off, because if you’re lucky enough to finish top of the league you’re guaranteed a fantastic prize! Prizes. Depending on how many people take part in the league will depend on how the rewards will be handled. If a sufficient number of people are involved then 1st, 2nd & 3rd will all be rewarded respectively.

Tiebreaker Situation

In the case of a tiebreaker between two or more people, the “Victory Difference” rule will come into effect. This, simply put, is calculated by the number of battle victories minus the number of battle loses that you received throughout the course of that league run.

In Example 1 we imagine that both Daiz and Raditz are on the same points. Who is proclaimed the winner of the league? Well, Daiz has taken part in more battles than Raditz and has won more too, but he has also lost more. 7 victories minus the 5 losses bring Daiz to a Victory Difference of 3. Whereas, 6 victories minus 2 losses brings Raditz to a Victory Difference of 4. In this situation, Raditz would be the victor.

If a situation arises where they’re both on the same points AND have the same victory Difference, as in Example 2, then the winner is the individual who outright won the more matches. In this example that would be Daiz. The more battles you take part in the more chance you have of topping the league, but the more chance you have of losing and lowering your Victory Difference – so choose wisely.
