So the very first iteration of Atsuko that I did in a DBZ RP seems to have generated some interest, I thought I would go into detail about her story, how strong she was, and what I think she would be now if she were an NPC.

The Setting:

The plot of the site she was on was set in Dragon Ball era. I think like maybe a year or two after Dragon Ball? Point is we weren't at DBZ Level yet. But we were getting closer to it. This is important to note because the site also had a level cap based on the current story arc.

So what was the current story arc? Well, there was a Demon King named Engrid who wanted to plunge the entire universe into chaos. He started enacting several plans to do that. There was a Kaioshin named Pyrokon who crafted the very first Runeblade and called it Excalibur. Excalibur was sent to Earth so that it might save Humanity. For this deed, Pyrokon was banished to Makai.

There, Engrid met with Pyrokon, and promised him revenge after all the years he had spent suffering, and all he had to do was create a Runeblade which could combat Excalibur. Pyrokon agreed to the terms, and created the equal and polar opposite to Excalibur, it was called Nethermourne. To Engrid's surprise, he was unable to wield the sword however. His attempt to do so temporarily cost him his arm. Pyrokon explained that just like Excalibur, the Runeblades were not meant to be wielded by beings like them. Only mortals can.

Nethermourne ended up in the hands of an Earthling, and Excalibur ended up in the hands of Atsuko Inoue, an Albino Saiyan that had been sent to Earth when she was a baby. Just like on Ascension, she had spent all of her life within the Monastery. But this was only one part of Engrid's plan.

The Demon King decided that the best way to plunge all life into chaos was to merge the Mortal Realm and Makai into one dimension. Then the Demons could truly roam free, and killing them would only cause them to return in short order.

About Atsuko Herself:

Shortly after leaving the Monastery, she met and briefly fought with King Kold. She was knocked out with ease, and after awakening, she could feel a certain calling within her very spirit. She could hear what sounded like a thunderous heartbeat, and off in the distance she could see a large pillar of bright white light reaching far into the sky.

When she approached, it was soon revealed to be Excalibur calling for worthy wielders. Out of the three that arrived, Atsuko was named most worthy of the blade. Atsuko found that with the power of the sword, her wounds closed before her very eyes. Her power was greatly increased, and now she had a purpose... Fight back against the Demons that plagued Earth.

It turned out that having a holy sword, and being very determined against the Demons was a good way to rally the people. As her own strength grew, she helped create a defense force with the aid of someone who had already started a group. Together they formed the Knights of the Round, and Atsuko eventually became the Ruler of North City, now named 'Hope'. As it was the last bastion of Humanity left on Earth.

The Power Scale:

So it's early Dragon Ball Era. This is important to note because end game basically puts you at Nappa level. Level 30 was the cap, and the most optimized build put you at around 5,000 PL base with Tier 1 equipment. Tier 2 was possible to acquire, and I think it put you at around 6,000~8,000? But it never happened because it was surprisingly hard to gather the emblems to afford even ONE piece.

There were two styles of fighter. Physical, and Ki. Physicals were Tanks, and Ki Fighters were essentially glass cannons. Atsuko was a Physical Fighter, and the best build for them was to max out speed.

Speed was useful because if you were faster than your opponent, it reduced the cost of defensive actions on your part. It also gave you more actions per turn. She hit Level 30, was around 5,000 base PL. Didn't have any transformations, but her Endurance was incredibly high. Endurance was Damage Resistance, and after powering up Excalibur upon hitting the level cap, she became even stronger.

Excalibur had a passive damage per turn as well as it's passive regeneration. Atsuko was even more scary in that with all of the actions at her disposal, she could use all but two per turn (dedicating those to 'rest' to get more Ki back) with potent attacks, but still gain Ki back. The reason for this? There was a status effect called Enchanted. If you pooled the Ki necessary to channeling the effect, they can't attack you.

But if you didn't, then there was just a base Ki cost of 5 to use the attack. Every single one of Atsuko's slashes were enchanted with her Ki, and upon making contact with her foe it would explode into their body and deal enhanced damage, and at minimal cost to the Saiyan. Her speed had become such that she could unleash six slashes within seemingly an instant, overcoming the laws of physics to do that.

She was, in a sense. A Raid Boss. Fighting her alone was an impossibility, and she could surprisingly hold up to the actual bosses we were fighting at the time. Giving her backup was just shifting the fight even more in her favor. And she was one part of the head of the Knights of the Round, which became the most popular faction, and one of the most powerful.

But Engrid was... Basically a fight we were never going to win. He had around 17,000,000 PL. Frieza was confirmed to have 13,000,000 PL. So basically, we have an end boss that's even stronger than Frieza, and we're basically right around Nappa's level at best. Engrid wasn't even at his strongest. With his sword, he was 23,000,000 PL.

Where she stands now:

Suffice to say, the site died and an official conclusion was never reached. But the universe was being pulled into Makai. The Kais were... For some reason just sitting on their asses and only JUST NOW started to get into gear. So how I think things ended was like this: The Kais were practically worthless. Save for one.

Rumia, who went entirely against "what the Kais are supposed to do", and pulled Atsuko to the Sacred World of the Kais. There, Atsuko received training. A LOT of training. Because as I'm sure you'll remember, there's a very popular saying...

"Before Creation, comes Destruction".

The Mortal Realm was basically screwed on every level, and there wasn't a way to reverse it. So it had to be destroyed. My thought is that First Incarnation Atsuko basically became the God of Destruction for her own universe. Unmaking it so that it could be put back into order.

As for the why of it? Because she was ridiculously powerful when she was just at Nappa levels. For all intents and purposes, Atsuko was effectively immortal. Giving her the right type of training was going to make her an insane enemy to cross.

So if First Incarnation Atsuko was ever a thing, she would be an NPC, and I'd probably treat her as if she was a God of Destruction. It's about the only way to say that she's still alive short of just pulling a Future Trunks and having her use a Time Machine to travel to a different Universe. But then, she'd probably be part of the Time Patrol. So... Ridiculous strength either way.
