Where's my damn Ice cream?
Alright, for a bit now there has been a need of a couple changes. Some of them have been discussed at random times and such. Due to scheduling complications, hammering out these changes can be difficult to do at times. And given how we are want to keep you guys satisfied with what we have on site and do like your guys' feedback.. I've decided to throw up a blurb here about some of the changes we have in mind. What's this have to do with you as members or other staff members and such... Well I'd like your thoughts and viewpoints. Straight and simple. Now this isn't the entire list because i'm not always around to chatter with the others on what we should do and such. So all you other staffers, put up your ideas you've discussed with the others and such and don't forget to put your own thoughts as well.


Proposed Changes

Death Timers

While death itself sucks for a character, it is something that is possible and does occur. As it stands currently the amount of time required to remain dead is two weeks before you can leave the afterlife and such. Now this is something i have discussed with others and we did agree on one thing. Death is rather meaningless on here and often treated as an oh well thing. While yes that is true to an extent due to the setting and the capabilities of characters and such, we felt that this needed to be altered a bit. I know i feel death should have more of an impact on a character other than 'Oh, guess i just wont do anything for two weeks and just pick back up when my timer goes off.' Even looking at shows and books, death always has impact. So it's been suggested and discussed about increasing the death timer to four weeks instead of two. This would make death more impacting and actually be more than a simple shrug off.


Mission Gains

There have been various takes on the reason why Mission gains work the way they do. Some disagreeable, some understandable and sometimes ones that made too much sense. Yeah i know, that last one doesn't make sense, all i can say RivvyLogic best logic. :3 Anyways back to what i thought be nice to see done for Mission Gains. Mission Gains are odd as they are in fact roughly equal to the gains of a similar sized PRP thread. The bonus of them being the items and unlocks they provide. My idea, while it would mean likely changing the amounts they grant in gains, is to set missions up so that the mission rewards are in addition to what one would get from the thread if it was a standard PRP. Would take a little bit of work to fix up their numbers but i see it as a way to make doing the missions a bit more appealing.


Item Store
This is something that Eli and Baron have been poking at for a bit. Basically a rework of the item store is currently in the works. Now some of ya are probably going, "Why tell us about it if you're already doing it?" Simple. So you do know about and can provide possible ideas for items. One of the changes we are hoping to implement is planet based item availability. Now there's been talks of setting such up as individual shops for each planet with an over-arcing general store across the site worlds. To hear your guys' thoughts, possible item ideas or even questions about it would be helpful in figuring it out.


And that's all for me at the moment. Can't remember anything else off the top of my head that i wanted to put in hear. But do put in your thoughts and questions. And all ya other staffers, put up your bits and ideas as well. This is a site effort after all and everyone chiming in is a big help.
