Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Item Restore [1:5] Technique
Using temporal magic, Daze restores an item that has been broken or destroyed in a thread to the moment just before that happens.
Reduce the cost of the Technique by X% where X = 10 per level. Costs Y% Power level where Y is the Items current level.
{Temporal Manipulation} -See Effect-

Energy Distortion [1:5] Ability
By altering the time around the energy the users body is consuming, the user can make a Transformation or Enchantment last longer than it normally could.
Transformations and Enchantments last one post longer per level if they have a limit to begin with.

While I can understand the effect, all ATBS +4 levels seems like way too much. There's so much room for insane effects that it terrifies me.

Yeah, it's an effect I wanted to do for Zen Daze since the get go. But I knew it would be a subtlely powerful ability. I'm not sure how powerful exactly is the issue. I know the condition is serious enough. It makes it so that he has to be in the correct scenario to use it.

What do you think should be done to balance it?

Maybe only grant extra levels to Daze's wisdom ATBS. I could see that. There's just a lot of ATBS that really get crazy with +4 levels.

Modified it via Gal's suggestion. Some ATBS literally do nothing extra (Elemental Harmony, Restore, etc.) from this effect. It obviously does not include itself in it's treatment.

It doesn't make sense for him to use his magic to reduce some damage from some attacks and no damage from other attacks to me; so, here is a suggestion to make it a little extra better.

After years of getting punched, hit, tossed around and beaten. Daze has gotten used to just about anything that can be tossed his way. Partly due to how sturdy his magic has made his body. Below average attacks simply don't cut the butter and more powerful attacks are needed to toss him around.
Ability: Attacks that deal less than X% of Daze's Wisdom in damage have their damage halved. X = 30 per level.
Technique: Once every other level per thread, Daze may reduce damage dealt to him from one attack by 20% per level of his Wisdom. Daze loses the Ability effect during posts he uses the Technique effect.
{Strange Magic. Tough As Nails Maxed} -10% PL to use its Technique effect.



I've classified my suggested edit as an Ability or Technique since he cannot use its effects simultaneously. In other words, if Daze can't use his techniques, he can still use this as an ability.

Edit: Bowwy made a good point; so, I edited the Ability effect.

The idea is fine but I think the actual determine factor is wrong-does it mean all T1's do less damage? Crushing Blow gets cut in half because it has no cost?


I think a better way to go about this is to have an amount of Daze's max PL be the threshold

Made minor modification for clarity sake. I'm assuming the Technique effect uses his Wisdom in Damage to reduce the incoming Attack.

Is this version fine? Also what about Zen Daze?

The modifications you made are fine. It's Approved.

I'm leaving Zen Daze up to Bowwy though. I am not good with balancing transformations yet.

One ability that made me question this was this one

The reason being that the transformation removes the magical orbs. Asides from that, with all your upgrades it would cap out at 24% power level healing per round.

I'd feel better about the transformation if it just cost something per post due to the siphoning of magic/etc. Maybe it cuts down on the healing factor (and thus produces the same effect)?

Given the requirements and the fact that this doesn't do much of anything other than reduce ONE thing's cost. It can be a 1:1 skill with the effect I listed.
