| Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!
Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.
We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.
We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.
We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Item Restore [1:5] Technique Using temporal magic, Daze restores an item that has been broken or destroyed in a thread to the moment just before that happens. Reduce the cost of the Technique by X% where X = 10 per level. Costs Y% Power level where Y is the Items current level. {Temporal Manipulation} -See Effect-
Energy Distortion [1:5] Ability By altering the time around the energy the users body is consuming, the user can make a Transformation or Enchantment last longer than it normally could. Transformations and Enchantments last one post longer per level if they have a limit to begin with. {Temporal Manipulation} -None-

Temporal Manipulation [1:1] Skill A skill of magic that allows one to manipulate the present for specific non-complex objects. This school of magic does not effect complex creations such as Androids or Advanced Organics (Small animals, sure, people, no). Restoring wounds or lost power is also not possible. They can, however, rebuild a broken building, uncook something or say break an item down to it's components before it was created. This ATBS alone does nothing outside of flavor. It cannot actually destroy or repair items. It is a school of magic that allows for other ATBS to be built off of it. {200 Wisdom) -None-
Master Enchanter [1:5] Ability After using enchantments on one's self for so long, time restraints have become less of an issue. Efficiency through raw experience and practice. Allows the user to attack in the same post one casts a non-damaging ATBS that would normally consume all actions. Also allows the user to start the thread off in the Enchantment while not effecting the number of posts it lasts until combat has entered (cost is paid at the start of combat without it consuming an action). Only functions at level 5. {Body Enhancement, 100 Wisdom) -None-
Body Enhancement [1:1] Skill Through magic, one is able to enhance one's own body with Enchantments. This can be for defensive or offensive purposes. Often works with other schools of magic such as Alteration or Elemental. {50 Wisdom} -None-
'ana Sufi [1:10] Technique-Enchantment The body becomes covered in a white silk-like material from their hair, skin and nails. Only the skin on their face is saved from the coating. It wraps, lacing around the body, from a magical means, materializing from what seems like thin air. Enchantment lasts one post per level. Reduces damage from all damage by 3.5% per level. Stat checks performed by opponents ATBS have their values decreased by 2.5% per level. Users Attacks can't be dodged unless by an item or ATBS. Takes up all actions in a post to cast spell. Cannot attack the following post. {Body Enhancement, 100 Wisdom, } -20% to Cast-
As my heart tore asunder... [1:4] Technique A pulse of ethereal magical radiation, engulfing both this plane and the next. Negates the bonus and any ongoing effects granted by any items within the immediate area so long the items's level x10 is less than X% of the caster's wisdom where X equals 20. This ATBS does not discriminate. Does not effect technology, stat boosts to Physical stats or damage reduction effects. At level 4 this can be focused into a stream of beams targeting specific items. Can be used once per thread, twice at level 4. {80 Wisdom} -20%-
I am the Fade... [1:1] Skill After a traumatizing experience and excessive use of the Fade portals, Daze had become a master at their capabilities. Now when using the Fade, he no longer opens a portal to step through or reach through. His body simply Fades without the portal, becoming ethereal and semi-opaque-purple. This allows for faster use of the Fade, but is mostly aesthetic. Daze's body becomes the portal when teleporting or whichever part of his body he is specifically teleporting. Opened and closing ends of the portals are no longer visible. Using Fade in combat costs 5% PL instead and using it to escape a thread costs 20% PL instead. {100 Wisdom. Fade Level 5. Entering Infinite Level 5.The Rift Level 5.} -None-
Zen Daze [1:5] Technique-Transformation A transformation he cannot acquire on his own without crossing a dimensional barrier. This form eliminates the haze his magic has forced on his mind, unlocking his full mental potential. While at first glance, it doesn't appear that he has acquired any new found power, but instead a newfound mastery over his abilities. It also grants Daze an unusually calm demeanor. Each Attack deals X % more Damage where X is 2, each other Technique gains an additional use per thread at level one and a second additional use at level four and each Ability is treated as though it were X levels higher where X is this ATBS level -1. Can only be activated if Daze has crossed a dimensional barrier or someone with an Ethereal touch has removed the Magical Orbs from Daze's arms. {Strange Magic. Transform Condition Met} -10% PLPP in Combat-
Alright, let's try this then! [1:3] Technique A technique thought up during a time when fists simply weren't cutting it. But fists were all Daze had. The technique changes the flow of Daze's, well, everything. Making it so his attacks all deal a specific type of damage instead of the other by changing the energies of his body. Attacks that deal Strength Physical Damage deal Wisdom Mental Damage, treating Strength as the Wisdom stat. Attacks that deal Wisdom Mental Damage deal Strength Physical Damage, treating Wisdom as the Strength stat. These effects do not stack. {75 Strength, 75 Wisdom, Immense Physical Prowess [5:5], Strange Magic} -15% PL at [1:3]. -10% PL at [2:3], or -5% PL at [3:3] to Activate/Deactivate
Is that supposed to hurt? [1:5] Ability/Technique Hybrid After years of getting punched, hit, tossed around and beaten. Daze has gotten used to just about anything that can be tossed his way. Partly due to how sturdy his magic has made his body. Below average attacks simply don't cut the butter and more powerful attacks are needed to toss him around. Ability: Attacks that deal less than X% of Daze's Wisdom in damage have their damage halved. X = 30 per level. Technique: Once every other level per thread, Daze may reduce damage dealt to him from one attack by 20% per level of his Wisdom in Damage. Daze loses the Ability effect during posts he uses the Technique effect. {Strange Magic. Tough As Nails Maxed} -10% PL to use its Technique effect.
Rumbling Tread [1:4] Ability After his near loss in a race against Roots, Daze's body realized he wasn't very fast. Not in the least. So it's developed a new trick to help him keep up the pace with those of higher speeds by covering him in a wind-breaking aura. Not that kind. The kind that lowers the overall wind resistance to his body. When an opponent uses a Block/Dodge/Deflect on one of Daze's ATBS, Daze's relevant stat during the stat check is increased by 5% per level. {Elemental Magic. Strange Magic. 40 Wisdom} -None-
Da-Ze-Ha-Me-Ha!! [1:4] Attack After watching Roots teach Machi and watching Machi do it, Daze created his own variant. Of course it's only similarities is the stating of the attack name and the post. The beam itself is purple with magical sparks flashing round it. It is however, just as spectacular, if not more so. Because Daze. Deals Damage equal to Wisdom. Is able to send through Fade Portals to change it's trajectory if it misses or is dodged. Can be used once per level per thread. Can change trajectory once per level. Cannot be duplicated with Fade, just new direction. {40 Wisdom} -5% PL + 5% each time trajectory is changed-
The Rift [1:5] Ability Daze has taken the use of Fade to a whole new level. This has allowed Daze to do some very interesting things with his portals. Each level allows Daze to open an extra set of portals. At level three Daze can create portals of vast and varying sizes. {35 Wisdom: Fade level 5} -None-
You can't even see me [1:3] Ability Daze once again has taken the Fade ability to another level. He can open up mulitple ends to one opening on a Fade. This causes objects passing through to be duplicated but dissipate on impact down to the original. Each level allows an extra end to a Fade to be opened. Can't use Attacks with this ability (Basic/Avanced Combat can be used because they are skills yo). {The Rift: 50 wisdom} -Fade Cost (if in combat)-
Look Up Asshole!! [1:4] Attack Someone enters a Fade portal that leads him falling high from the sky. They do this only to fall into a fade portal no more than seven feet below that one. They continues to fall face down into the portals picking up momentum until he opens up a portal from any location the chooses around the opponent and launches a physical attack with a tremendous amount of momentum built up. Attack dealing 3x Strength or Dexterity in damage of whoever is using the portals to the target. It requires a post to build up the speed. {Fade Level 3: Magic Hat.} -Cost of using Fade in Combat. Once per thread. Twice at level 4.-
Healing Factor [1:5] Ability The magical orbs within Daze's body have begun to siphon energy from around the area. This also causes his wounds to heal very slowly throughout a thread (larger the wound, the more posts it takes to heal). Each level they restore 2% of Daze's max power level per combat post in a thread with a maximum of 10% per post. {Daze, Strange Magic, 30 Wisdom} -None-
Strange Magic [1:1] Skill Daze has two strange magic orbs within his body that are almost sentient. They are ethereal and almost sentient. They actively make him stronger and persist in keeping him alive. However they have effected his mind and created a mental cloud that makes focusing, remembering or even paying attention difficult for him. They are the source of his magic powers and will randomly bestow him with new abilities. {Daze} -None-
You ain't done yet. [1:4] Technique A spell that restores some of another players power level at the cost of Daze's own. This Technique restores 15% of another players power level per level with a max of 45%. This can only be used once per thread. {25 Wisdom: 40 Wisdom to get Level 4.} -Costs 20% Power. Once per Thread. Twice at level 4-
THAT'S ME MATE!! [1:1] Ability Anyone who has accepted the offered title of Mate (Friend... we think) from Daze has been tagged with his magical energies. Daze can sense their location and sense if they're in danger or not. {Daze, 25 Wisdom} -None-
What's in my Magic Hat? [1:3] Ability Using the Fade technique, one is able to reach into a portal and pull things through it. This is limited to the range of the technique. At level one it can pull objects through, at level two it can pull willing people through and at level three it can pull anything through it. If the person is unwilling then there is a Strength check. If the user's Strength is greater than the defending person then they get pulled in. {Fade} -None-
I Got Something For Ya!!! [1:5] Attack Purple energy swirls around one of Daze's fist as he draws a ton of magical energy into his arm. The attack takes a lot of time to power up, during which the space around Daze's arm begins to ripple as if space itself was becoming distorted. It can be quite disorienting to look at. Once the attack is charged Daze can launch the energy built up along side another attack. This attack deals Strength + Wisdom damage along with another attack. The attack takes 3 posts to charge. Each level beyond the first reduces the number of posts required to charge with 0 being the lowest at level 4. Any attack with a PL cost used with this has it's PL cost increased by 50%. {20 Strength: 20 Wisdom: 30 Strength and 30 Wisdom for level 5} -Costs 20% PL. Once per thread; Twice at level 5-
Can you even keep up? [1:5] Attack A blindingly fast attack using magic to move the attacker at difficult to follow speeds. The body part becomes almost etheral looking as if it had faded out of existence for a brief time to ignore all resisting factors that would slow it down. The attack damage is calculated from 50% of the Strength stat. This attack can only be dodged and blocked by Techniques. {10 Strength: 10 Wisdom} -Once per level-
Can you even hurt me? [1:3] Technique Using similar magic to elemental harmony, the user hardens it's flesh using the elements. The user cannot move while in this state and holds the state for the entire post (no other attacks may be used). This blocks all Strength, Dexterity and Spirit attacks coming at the user. Can't attack in the same post after technique is used. {10 Strength: 10 Wisdom: Elemental Harmony} -Costs 10% PL. Once per level.-

This is a single transformation that has multiple effects depending on the level. At level 1 the user gains +10 Strength, at level 2 they restore 20% of their Power level and at Level 3 they increase their Max power level by 20%. {20 Wisdom} -None-
Now This is What I Call Power!! [1:3] Technique-Form Daze's whole body glows blue and becomes Ethereal. While in this form he can pass through solid non-organic-objects and make parts of his body become physical again at will. In this form all of his attacks have gain +X Damage where X is his Wisdom's Damage. This form can only be held for one post per level beyond the initial transformation post. {20 Wisdom} -Each attack in this form costs 10% PL. Once per thread-

Forgot this last line. It seems pretty apparent and I'm pretty sure 'single transformation' does the trick, but just to clarify, here we go.

This was more a edit of the parenthesis. As much as it can be said those are skill they exist only to augment your attacks, ATBS or just a punch they are still an attack. In no way could you use them in tandem with this due to the wording already in place.

No, that's the point of the ATBS. It relies on 5:5 of one ATBS, another ATBS and has an insanely high cost all for a single damage dealing action with an incredibly high cost that can easily be dodged/blocked for far less than it costs to use it.
Changing that defeats the entire purpose.

If that is the case then this is a Attack ATBS not an Ability and should be changed as such. Being able to attack with an action at all puts it there. If you insist it is a Ability it should not be able to damage people at all.

Basic and Advanced combat, though skills, were counted as attacks for the purpose of the one attack per post rule in WMAT, otherwise ANYONE could have thrown AS MANY basic or advanced cmbat punches as they wanted in a post, and thus exhaust all of an opponents dodges and blocks in that same single post. As such, they should be considered attacks for the purpose of any other ATBS that has effects dealing with attacks. The reason being simply: the precedence is that if you don't even have basic combat, your punches do no damage period, so to that effect, Basic and Advanced combat -are- actually attacks and should probably be retitled such.
But for this Ability, it either needs to not include basic and advanced combat because they are actually attacks, or D's suggestion where it's labeled as an attack because basic and advanced combat are attacks, and in such case it needs to have a cost higher than just the cost of fade.

Sorry, your wrong. This is a passive effect that alters how Fade works. The damaging action is basic combat. Not this. This simply allows for the Fade portals to be used in a different manner. Basic or Advanced Combat is dealing the damage. The ability is changing how it happens, passively, as abilities do.

They were counted as a Damaging Action. The WMAT was worded specifically as One Damaging Action and one Non-Damaging Action. Which was how you were able to use your Non-Damaging Attack Dark Chi (or w/e it's called) along with attacking.

Then word You Can't See Me as Damaging Action, instead of attacks, because stating that basic combat/advanced combat aren't attacks but skills sounds like you're trying to loophole your ATBS within your own ATBS.

Given the discussion going on with the other ATBS, I want to know what your stance is on the use of basic/advanced combat for the clause in the effect. If it’s the same where basic/advanced combat can be used cause it’s not an attack, then I don’t agree with it, and it should be worded as ‘damaging’ ATBS.

I want this to have a uses per thread. I don’t like stat substitution but this can be used an unlimited amount of times with regen. My suggestion is make it 1:4 and say it can be activated/deactivated once per level, which means it can be turned on and off twice.
