Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. As long as Enhanced Cybernetics only works for defensive checks for the items, I'm fine. One thing I notice is that the level of the ATBS does not matter.

As for the second one, this seems fine to me as well, but I'm going to expect any kind of sensing to be able to get past this. Senses, power level, etc. The only thing this will do is negate VISION of Celeste.

Using the Digital Forge Operator, Celeste is able to create a hologram of a shield on either arm. The light solidifies and is capable of making contact. The shape and design depends entirely on the user. This particular shield was designed to help combat opposing mental offensive abilities.
Creates a shield capable of blocking Mental Attacks and Techniques. The damage reduced is equal to X% of Celeste's Aptitude where X is 25 per level. If the attack or technique has a stat check then the shield reduces the the opponents final numbers by Y% per level of her Aptitude where Y is 10.
{Digital Forge Operator} -Costs 10% Power Level. Lasts one post per level. One post cool down.-



I realized when going to sleep tonight I forgot to put a lasting effect on them.

No the Blades don't stack. It just allows for dual-wielding. Both items function as a Weapon/Armor. So they don't factor into regular stat checks. Obviously the weapons would if the opponent is blocking/dodging an attack being used by the blades.

Here is a revised version with timers. I sort of made a generic timer to keep it from being wordy. Feel free to change things.

Also note that these two Techniques are item dependent. If that item is disabled, she cannot use them.

A sphere, worn somewhere on the user that reflects sound coming from the immediate area. It does so by sending out a sound wave at the exact same frequency to cancel out any immediate noises. All those nearby literally hear nothing as all sound waves are being cancelled out.
Ceases all sound in the immediate area.

Several quick razor thing blades of light slice an immediate area dealing Aptitude in Damage. Cannot be Dodged or Blocked unless by an ATBS.
{Digital Forge Operator} -15% Power Level. Once per Level-

Light Torch [1:3] Attack
Using the Digital Forge Operator and her Arm cannon, Celeste creates a torch of burning light out from her Forearm Cannon. It is very short ranged and cannot be used as a projectile.
Deals Damage equal to Aptitude. Destroys opposing Items on Contact (for the thread, unless repaired in thread).
{Digital Forge Operator, Forearm Cannon} -10% Power Level. Lasts one post per level. 2 post cool down-


As long as I understand the cable correctly in that it's only ONE dodge per thread, that's fine.

Slices of Light is okay.

Light Torch I'm holding off on, because I don't like the idea of insta destroy, but it does make it sound like it's a ATBS defendable move, so...(And the clause 'lasts one post per level', does that mean the item actually comes back online?)

As long as I understand the cable correctly in that it's only ONE dodge per thread, that's fine.


It was actually one dodge per level with the requirement that the hand had to be detached already and holding onto something. Sort of a "Yank" out of danger by retracting the body to the hand.

The torch itself stays on up to one post per level and it's range is about the length of one's forearm. So she has to be super close combat for it to work. You're correct that the straight up item destroy is OP. Not sure what I was thinking. However, it is an attack and can be dodged, blocked, etc.

I think the cable is alright because of the Rocket Punch requirement, in a way. Also, only two dodges, so...it's okay.

Slices of Light is good but I think it's okay.

Light Torch insta item destruction kinda scary but I think the point is is that you can block/dodge the attack itself. It's okay too.

Amended this one for a maximum of two max no matter the level. I just remembered Celeste's Over Level which would have allowed for seven and would've been incredibly OP.

A large space fighter about the size of a szmall house. It's capable of space travel as well as inter atmosphere and under water travel. At level one, Heracles can only travel on the surface of water and in the sky. At level two it can travel under water, at level three it can travel short distances in space and at level four it can travel long distances in space. Can be summoned to the user and upgrades may be made.

A large ground unit that can be stored within Heracles. It is a motorcycle in design and can cover a lot of ground ver very fast.
Has a Matrix Storage built into the console. All upgrades applied to Heracles are also applied to Alexia. Can also be summoned to user via signal.

A large gun, about the size of a human torso. It's base is white with a red trim. Requires two hands to fire properly. Is technically classified as a portable Energy Gatling gun.
Can attach to Heracles or Alexia. Uses Basic or Advanced Combat. Fires one shot every other level (one at one, two at three, three at five, four at seven). Each shot after the first has it's damage reduced by half (First shot full, second halved, third at 1/4th, fourth at 1/8th).
