Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. We love new members and are a very welcoming bunch of people.

I'm cool with the advanced ESP buff, still holding off on style of many. I want to move away from free-cost stuff, not get more of it.

Tossed up a quick prototype of Psionic Shout. It's prone to change later, but I wanted a basic version available now to debut in my next post.

Style of Many [1:1] Skill - Style
The Style of Many allows the user to forgo power level costs of an Attack or Technique that can be used multiple times in a post. An Attack or Technique used this way cannot be used again in the thread even if the Attack or Techniques' maximum level or effects state otherwise.
{50 in any one stat} -Passive-

Worded it differently to achieve the same effect but without repeating itself as many times. Basically you want to be able to get a "Free' use out of an attack, one that can be used multiple times by sacrificing the ability to use it multiple times as the cost of the attack/technique?

Active Regeneration [1:1] Ability
This technique is the epitome of self sustainability. It fires energy through your body's cells in order to rapidly undergo mitosis. The technique is wildly dangerous for beings without an incredible amount of regenerative capability, and thus only two species are capable of it. It requires incredible mental acuity or precise control over one's energy. It allows you to recover 5% of your power level every post.
{Regeneration [3:3] or Hyper Regeneration [1:1], Namekian or Majin, 100 Spirit or Willpower}

I upped it a little. For a single ability, with no room for extra growth, 5% is fine.

This technique is the epitome of self sustainability. It fires energy through your body's cells in order to rapidly undergo mitosis. The technique is wildly dangerous for beings without an incredible amount of regenerative capability, and thus only two species are capable of it. It allows you to recover 5% of your maximum Battle Power per post, plus an additional 2% per extra level past the first, culminating in 11% at level 4.
{Regeneration [3:3] or Hyper Regeneration [1:1]; Namekian or Majin; 100 Spirit, Willpower, or at least 50 in all stats}

APPROVED

Here's a cleaned up version of it if you like. It does exactly the same thing, but easier to read for some. You can keep the one you have now as is or this one or submit whatever change you may want. Your thing your choice.

Restores 3% Max PL/BP + 2% Max PL/BP per level per post (That's 5% at [1:4] and 11% at [4:4]).
{Regeneration [3:3] or Hyper Regeneration [1:1]; Namekian or Majin; 100 Spirit or Willpower, or at least 50 in all stats} None

Machine Telepathy [1:1] Skill
After learning how to interpret technological signals, the next step for an apt psychic is to learn how to mimic these signals with one's mind and use them to send messages back to machines that can understand them.
{Machine ESP [1:1]}

Technopathy [1:1] Skill
Once a psychic has mastered interpreting and sending machine signals, they can take the next logical step forward; controlling non-intelligent machine systems with their mind.

Omni-glot's Practice [1:100] Skill
This person is so well versed in a multitude of fields that they've learned how to apply knowledge from one field to another, having found an intricate pattern beneath the surface of each individual field, woven together to form a grand whole.
Once this skill is taken, the original stat that an ATB calls for is instead the lowest stat at the user's disposal multiplied by five. However, the user only gains 1% of the benefit per level of this technique, so until the user has maxed it, the user will be overall weaker than you were prior to taking it. The user still requires the per-requisite stats and skills to learn a skill.
{100 in all stats}

This is fine.

Style of Many [1:3] Ability(Style)
The Style of Many allows the user to forgo energy costs of an ATB, but the ATB must be max level and each ATB used this way can only be used once per thread as opposed to however many uses its max level gives it.

This style only works on ATBs that can be used multiple times by the time they've reached the highest level.
{50 in any one stat} -Passive-

When I finally realized this doesn't give an extra use, I realized it was fine. But, I feel like this effect warrants a few more levels. 3 sound okay?

If an ATBS calls for a stat, it instead calls for the users lowest stat at setting the stat value to 5% per level. The user still requires the per-requisite stats and skills to learn a skill.
{100 in all stats}

Fixed the wording. Less, "Increase by 500% then 1% per level" nonsense. 5% per level creates the same result.
