Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Sonic Smackdown [1:3] Technique
A minor offensive ability. The user speeds into the air, just above a flying opponent and lands a hard blow onto them, smacking them out of the sky and hard into the ground.
Does 30% strength damage, grounds flying opponent.
{30 strength, Supersonic Flight} 5% PL, one use per level per thread. Damage can be negated/reduced, but effect cannot be blocked except by defensive ATBS.

Energy Weapon [1:4] Skill
The user manifests a weapon out of ki energy, allowing them to substitute the spirit stat for dex-based ATBS's. As it's not a physical creation, it can be destroyed and remade easily, but also vulnerable to anything that disrupts ki.
Every level allows the user to use a dex-based ATBS using their spirit instead, as long as the spirit is 5x for level 1, 4x for level 2, 3x for level 3 and 2x for level 4. Likewise, the spirit stat can be substituted in any stat checks for dex instead.

True to his ancient namesake, Zuus can form spears in the shape of lightning bolts in his hand and throw them at opponents. While appearing to be physical, they are a manifestation of his ki energy. The spears have an electrical and piercing nature, and can be used once a post

Supersonic Flight [1:5] Ability
After mastering the power of flight, then comes the ability to go even faster. At level 1, you fly just under the sound barrier. At level 2, you can break the sound barrier. Every level beyond that increases your flight speed, with level 3 going twice as fast, level 4 going 5 times as fast, and level 5 going ten times as fast.

Copy Power[1:X]Ability
There are many skills, abilities, and techniques in the world. Simply by watching someone else do them, a machine's mind is able to break down what happened to it's basic form and figure out how to replicate it if able. This doesn't give them the ability to learn it instantly, as they still must have the required stats to learn it. Each time this ability is used to copy an ATBS, it must gain a level.

Judgement [1:5] Attack
An expansion of the Lightning Spear. Zuus gathers the energy for a full-powered Lightning Spear, but then launches it skyward. The energy blasts then erupt and rain down as electric ki death in a circle around him. The distance the judgement bolts rain down and number also increase as the level increases.
Does 2x his spirit stat at level 1, 3x at 3, and 4x at level 5. Judgment is incredibly hard to block without use of ATBS and is almost impossible to just dodge without simply escaping the large blast zone.

ZUUS PUNCH! [1:5] Attack
A punch that delivers a very satisfying crunch as it connects with an opponents face or body.
Does damage equal to the strength stat and half the spirit stat. At level 5, an electrified roar echoes out and the punch deals the strength stat and the spirit stat. This attack is very difficult to block without the use of ATBS and also difficult to dodge.
{30 Strength, 30 Spirit, Basic Combat} -Once a thread at level 1, twice at level 3, three times at level 5-

Zuus's Microphone [1:5] Item
It looks like an ordinary microphone, and it is. In Zuus's hands, however, it's an essential part of his ensemble. Gives a base +5 to his strength stat if he hits someone with it. In addition, every level provides a 3% boost to his spirit stat when using Ki attacks. Finally, it allows 1 extra use of Kiai or any technique that requires Kiai.
{Requirements} Be Zuus.

No Sell [1:5] Ability
Being tough as nails isn't enough. Thanks to your powerful strength, you can take anything your opponent can dish out and then some without missing a beat. Did you just get hit by their biggest, baddest attack? You'll be standing in the smoke with a smile on your face, no worse for the wear.
Each Level reduces damage taken from any attack by 6%.
{60 Strength, Tough as Nails 4:4} -None-

Supersonic Fighting [1:5] Attack
What hurts more then getting hit in the face? Getting hit in the face by something going faster then the Speed of Sound. With this, you're mastering high-speed combat.
Does 50%X Strength damage where X is level of this attack.
Cannot be blocked without use of an ATBS, and is near impossible to dodge. Usable once per level at 1, twice at 3, and 3 times at 5.

Anti-Magic Field [1:5] Technique
Create a large Energy Field that blocks all magic-based attacks. All magic items within the field lose their power.
Blocks up to your Spirit stat in damage from Wisdom-based attacks.
{10 Spirit} -Costs 5% power level. Can only be used once per level-

Immovable [1:4] Ability
After shrugging off some of the most powerful attacks opponents can dish out on your Tough as Nails body by No Selling it, now the user's strength is at a point where some attacks just don't even register at all.
If user's strength is 25% X, where X is level of ability, is greater then opponents stat used for attacking, the attack is entirely blocked. If user's strength is not greater, it reduces damage taken by 20%. If opponent's attack uses more then 1 stat to calculate, then user's strength must be higher then both stats to be effective. Usable for Strength and Dex attacks only.
{100 strength, Tough as Nails at 4:4, No Sell at 4:4}

Improved Ki Sense [1:3] Ability
An improved ability to sense Ki, based on finding and determining exact numbers of a target's power level, as well as multiple targets. At level 2, even a power level over twice your own can be detected. At level 3, even detect the smallest power levels and those attempting to block or hide theirs.
Allows the user to detect any and all ki and power levels. During a stat check the abilities value is X% of your Wisdom, Spirit or Aptitude where X is 33, rounding to 100 at level 3. Number of targets a user can identify is equal to the stat that they are using to sense their Ki.

Ki Identify [1:1] Skill
Once a user can sense a target's Ki, they can identify what said target looks like, getting a near perfect mental image based on their power level. This allows the user to identify species and identity of anyone they can sense.

Genocide Blaster [1:5] Attack
An incredibly frightful attack. By building up Ki energy and tracking all the powers of species that can be identified by their Ki levels, a series of powerful energy blasts are built up and shot out as rays of death over a planet, targeting all of a species that are selected.
Does 15% of the user's spirit per level to each target.
[Improved Ki Sense, Ki Identify, Ki Track at Max, 100 Spirit] Can only be used once per thread. 60% of Power Level.

Has the same effect as Kiai. In addition, if the user's spirit is higher then the opponent's spirit, the opponent cannot use any spirit based ATBS's for X posts, where X = every other level.
{80 Spirit, Kiai 4:4} Requires one use of Kiai, but also allows an additional use of Kiai at [5:5].

Blanket dodges have to be inhibited in a lot of ways. Fast as Lightning has very low uses. The one Artaamis got actually costs her PL, etc. It's just too good.

Would this be a fair compromise for you? I just think disabling all Spirit ATBS for a player for 4 posts plus a free Kiai use is a bit much.

Here's one way we can change this. The 15% extra spirit is the only part that's too much for such a low level item. Apologies. We can talk on skype/cbox and we can adjust it to a way you like (if you want more percentage on spirit, for example) or we can give it more levels. Just let me know, this posted version is just 1 way we can reorganize the item.

I hate to have to do this, but to help out the epic (and to save us all from dying) I have to give this somewhat of a limit.

I was thinking about heavily reducing the stat (to like 70%, but that''s lame) but I have a better change.

This is probably good as a [1:1] that says ‘flights at supersonic speeds’ where the ATBS purpose is to be a basis for other ATBS.

500% stat in damage at level five I think requires a much higher spirit stat req, I would also probably like for it to be only three levels with a 300% stat in damage max. Also removed the thing about ATBS dodging and blocking as doing so without ATBS is no longer allowed.

Should have some kind of stat check where a target has a chance to hide themselves or dodge or something with this, as it is it is an automatic hit for 100% of whatever population, for 75% damage.
