Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.
We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.
We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.
We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Axolotl Awakening [1:1] Ability Descended from a rather unusual anthro (Who Jack later guessed must have dwelt near or within the ocean), the dormant genes within him have finally awakened to the latest in a series of traumatic experiences in his life and in response to his human body that he has, quite literally, pushed beyond realistic limits. This has triggered a macro-cellular mutation that eliminated previously unused physical traits with ones that may better enable him to survive the harsh conditions to which he regularly exposes himself. This ability, upon activating, provides the following PERMANENT effects: Changes Jack's species to Halfbreed with Human as his primary race and Anthro as his secondary race. Jack may only keep ONE of his Human traits upon using this Ability and must replace the others with ONE Anthro trait in addition to Enhanced Senses [1:3]. {250 in Physical Stats, and Exclusive to Jack Trader} This Ability, upon activating, reduces Jack's Remaining PL to 1% of his Max PL. Learning and using this ability may not be reversed. The effects of this ability are permanent until character death unless Jack undergoes another means of changing species.
Gill Growth [1:1] Ability Whenever Jack changes into his anthro or animal form, he may include gills in the transformation to allow him to breathe underwater. Whenever out in open air, he may consciously close his gills shut and breathe through his mouth instead. {Blessed Human [1:1], Exclusive to Jack Trader} None
Axolotl Restoration [1:6] Ability Jack has found himself capable of recovering from a number of injuries inflicted upon him as a result of his anthro heritage. Restores +1.5% Max PL per level at the end of each post while in combat. {Blessed Human [1:1], 150 Strength or Dexterity, and Exclusive to Jack Trader} None
Axolotl Regeneration [1:4] Technique With additional focus, Jack is capable of accessing the full extent of his restorative abilities and may consciously regenerate to the point that he may regrow lost body parts. If dealt fatal damage or issued enough damage to render him unconscious, Jack may not use this Technique. Regenerates lost body parts including limbs and organs as long as Jack has at least 1 PL. Restores +1.5% Max PL per level. {Axolotl Restoration [6:6]} None
Mental Lock Down [1:3] Technique Some attacks against the human mind persist even after the initial defense against it. This technique allows a human to further reinforce the natural defense of their complex mind. Prevents all non-damage effects of any opposing Wisdom, Aptitude, or Willpower ATBS or Item from affecting the user and prevents the non-damage effects of the ATBS or Item from affecting them again for one additional post per level. Every other level adds an additional use to Mental Sever. {Mental Sever [3:3]} Requires one use of Mental Sever.
Trader's Soul Crafter [1:10] Accessory A gauntlet worn on the left hand that enables its creator to manipulate their energies with greater ease and efficiency. +1% Max PL per level. [10:10] Restores 2 PL for every 5 PL spent. {5,000 PL, Ki Manifestation, Exclusive to Jack Trader} -None-

Mach 10 [5:5] Ability Humans are constantly pushing the boundaries of what is and is not considered possible, redefining the definition of impossible until the day comes in which “impossible” is defined as a lie. One human has done just that with their mastery of flight and has broken the sound barrier with it. Allows the user to fly at X times the speed of sound in which X is double the level of this Ability. The user may modify a Strength-based attack so that it may not be blocked or dodged without a Technique. Attacks modified by this Ability cannot have their damage reduced below the user's Spirit*X in which X equals Level*0.5. {Immense Physical Prowess [5:5], Power of Flight [4:4], Aerobatics [3:3], Fast as Lightning [2:2], 100 Spirit, 100 Strength} -Once per level per thread-
Converging Storm Strike [1:5] Attack The user issues a pair of invisible blasts of concussive energy that curve toward their target from separate directions, threatening to incapacitate and subdue their target upon converging with it. This attack may prove lethal against those who cannot withstand its crushing force. Deals Spirit*0.4 per level in Physical Damage. Increases the Spirit Stat by X% during the Attack only. X = 4 per level {Descending Storm Strike [4:4], 150 Spirit} -12% PL. Once every other level per thread.
Exploit Weakness [1:5] Ability It's rare, if impossible, to come across an entirely impenetrable and perfect defense. The user applies this knowledge to their fighting prowess to expose the weaknesses within an opponent's protective measures. Optional: Whenever using a Physical Attack, add X to its Stat Check. X = 4% per level of (Strength+Spirit+Dexterity) This Ability does NOT modify Damage. {Equal Footing [5:5], Immense Physical Prowess [5:5], and 150 in Physical Stats} -4% PL
Jack‘s sword [15:15] Weapon
A hand-and-a-half sword completely ordinary in appearance and without decoration. Its edge is blunt to prevent it from cutting, but remains capable of significant destruction. Since its creation, this weapon has been and always will be a fragment of its creator’s soul. A refinement process that was supposed to destroy it merely purged from it the evil that afflicted its creator.
This item replaces Jack’s sword [10:10] with Jack’s sword [11:15] upon creation for -7 Exp (Standard Item Creation Cost). The creation of this item requires the destruction and removal of Demonic Wrath [5:5]
Attacks with this weapon deal Strength*0.07 per level in Physical Damage. This weapon grants +3.2 Strength per level, but only when Attacking with it. This weapon may NEVER receive Enchantments or Curses.
Whenever taken, lost, or broken Jack may deconstruct this weapon and reconstruct it within his possession for -5% PL.
{Ki Manifesting, Immense Physical Prowess [5:5], 150 Strength, Jack Trader Exclusive} None
Bat Out of Hell [1:1] Technique Having utilized his demonically enhanced aerobatics a number of times, Jack has become something of an aerial trickster capable of avoiding most incoming threats against him at any given moment. If the user is flying or begins to fly, they may dodge all incoming Attacks for one post. {Aerobatics [3:3] modified by Demon's Touch [1:1]} -10% PL and consumes one use of Aerobatics.
Hit'em Really Hard [1:4] Attack Defeating a harder opponent sometimes requires you to hit them...well...harder. Deals Strength*1.15 at [1:4], Strength*1.35 at [2:4], Strength*1.55 at [3:4], or Strength*1.75 at [4:4] in Physical Damage. Increases the user's Max PL by 5% per level during the attack only. {Normal Kicks and Punches [3:3]} -9% PL. Once per level per thread.
Regular Blocking [1:7] Technique Jack uses his strength and martial mastery to block attacks. That's why it's called 'Blocking'. Each use reduces Strength and Dexterity Damage dealt to Jack by 14% per level (That's 98% at [7:7]) if X% of his Strength exceeds an attacker's attacking stat. X = 15 per level (That's 105 at [7:7]). {Immense Physical Prowess [5:5], 100 Strength} None
You'll Only Hurt Yourself [1:1] Ability Directly attacking Jack with your fists is not advisable. Whenever Jack receives Strength Damage from an attack, the attacker loses 10 Strength and 10% Max PL for their next post if their Strength does not exceed Jack's Strength. {Regular Blocking [7:7], and Exclusive to Jack Trader} None
Normal Kicks and Punches [1:3] Attack With his strength having reached insane levels, Jack tries his best not to hit things with his normal strength. This is not so much a quote, signature attack, unquote as it is just him fighting at his default strength. "Normal Kicks and Punches" deals Strength*0.75 at [1:3], Strength*0.95 at [2:3], and Strength*1.15 at [3:3] in Physical Damage. {Immense Physical Prowess [5:5], 100 Strength, and Jack Trader Exclusive} -3% PL
Equal Footing [1:5] Ability There are those who place too many proverbial eggs in one basket to overwhelm their enemies with a singular force. And then there are those who demonstrate a certain sense of balance to counter such acts of aggression. Optional: Whenever an opponent's ATBS or Item compares their highest stat to the user's highest stat, it checks each user's second highest stat instead (if either user's highest stat is tied with their second highest then it will default to their highest stat). This only affects Stat Checks and does not modify Damage. {30 in at least two stats. Only functions at [5:5]} -None-
Against the Wall [2:2] Technique Jack manifests a wall of energy at a target location to Block 1 Physical Attack. {Ki Manifesting, 100 Spirit, Be Jack} -10% PL, Once per level per thread.
Unrestricted [10:10] Technique A true hero of the people exercises restraint and self control so as not to harm the innocent they have sworn to protect, but great evil may sometimes force them to cast aside their personal restrictions and confront a threat with all their might. This technique restores 3% PL per level upon activation. During the activation post, Jack may NOT EVER Attack or use any other Technique, but he may use Skills and Abilities IF their levels are MAXED. Grants the following Effects: +3 Strength per level and +3 Spirit per level for 6 posts (not counting activation). {90 Spirit, 90 Strength, and Jack Trader Exclusive} Once per thread and may only be activated at 45% PL or less. While active, Attacks that determine Strength or Spirit as Damage cost an additional 3% PL including Attacks that have no cost.
Jack’s sword [1:10] Weapon
A hand-and-a-half sword completely ordinary in appearance and without decoration. Standard features include a round pommel, a synthetic grip, and a brass guard. Jack intentionally dulled its sharp edges to prevent it from ever cutting anyone after he finished creating it. Its shoddy appearance mirrors the humble nature of its master, which is ironic given the fact that the sword possesses no reflective surface.
Attacks with this sword deal Strength*0.75 damage. This sword grants +5 Strength per level, but only when attacking with it.
{Immense Physical Prowess [5:5], 90 Strength, and Ki Manifesting} None
Descending Storm Strike [3:4] Attack The user extends one hand forward and discharges an invisible blast of concussive energy; alternatively, the user may launch the attack from a foot. Anyone struck by the blast will be knocked back a great distance and will receive the user’s Spirit*0.7 in Physical Damage. Increases the user's Max PL by 5% per level during the attack only. {75 Spirit} -4% PL, may be used once every other level per post, capping at twice per post.
Demonic Wrath [1:5] Item-Curse Accepting half of Astraea’s wrath has already proven detrimental to Jack’s sanity and health. This curse forces Jack to sense Astraea’s physical and emotional anguish (no matter how small or great) and alerts him to her location even if he cannot reach her. It has also implanted a dependency within Jack to keep the sword with him at all times in case he might need it to locate and rescue Astraea.
Jack gains the following effects whenever he wields his sword.
+5% Max PL per level when calculating Jack's Strength Damage from any source. Reduces Spirit by 10
{Astraea's Approval, Jack’s sword [10:10], Rename the item type of Jack's sword to "cursed weapon"} -None-
Acoustic Guitar [0:0] Accessory A seemingly ordinary hand-crafted and stringed guitar into which its player may channel their energy to amplify the clarity and volume of the instrument’s musical notes. This item has no significant effects of its own, but may receive Admin-Approved modifications and enchantments that grant it effects. This item has no level and, as such, no Exp cost. This item may be destroyed in combat and by effects that specifically target items, but the user may recreate it in the event of its destruction. {Ki Manifesting} None
True Nature of the Thing [1:3] Ability The user has practiced and honed their sense of life energy around them to the point that they can sense most life around them whenever they choose no matter how seemingly insignificant. Increases the user's Spirit by 35% per level whenever using Ki Sense or Ki Track for the stat check only (Does not Modify Damage). Successful Ki Sense use now allows the user to sense most living things around them and detect the subtle differences between them for identifying races. This skill does not work against All Machine characters. {Ki Sense [3:3]} None

The effect only happens when and if Jack is damaged by a Strength attack. Meaning, people have the option to attack him and suffer the effect or avoid it altogether. It is as niche as it gets for something with the requirement it has.
Edit: Looking through defensive techniques and I figure the following should be acceptable since it is no stronger than Energy Field.

Just a small change as this keeps it more in line with stuff that's already been made. As specialized as it is for reduction, I feel like something has to bridge the gap between spirit-wisdom

Unrestricted [10:10] Technique A true hero of the people exercises restraint and self control so as not to harm the innocent they have sworn to protect, but great evil may sometimes force them to cast aside their personal restrictions and confront a threat with all their might. This technique restores 3% PL per level upon activation. During the activation post, Jack may NOT EVER Attack or use any other Technique, but he may use Skills and Abilities IF their levels are MAXED. Grants the following Effects: +3 Strength per level and +3 Spirit per level for 6 posts (not counting activation). {90 Spirit, 90 Strength, and Jack Trader Exclusive} Once per thread and may only be activated at 45% PL or less. While active, Attacks that determine Strength or Spirit as Damage cost an additional 3% PL including Attacks that have no cost.
The reason I made this the way it was in the first place was for its synergy with certain existing Abilities and Skills and I would like to maintain that. Everything else remains the same.
I would also like a change to Descending Storm Strike.

Old Version at [3:3]. 1,000 PL with 75 Spirit deals a base amount of 600 per shot. 2,000 PL with 100 Spirit deals a base amount of 1600 per shot. New Version at [3:3]. 1,000 PL with 75 Spirit deals a base amount of 604 per shot. 2,000 PL with 100 Spirit deals a base amount of 1,610 per shot.
The reason I want the change is because I didn't expect anyone to actually want to learn it, but Roots has it since Jack shared it with him and, given that this attack has no real requirements other than Spirit, I want to deter certain characters from acquiring it.

Once per level, the user may modify a Strength-based attack so that it may not be blocked or dodged without a Technique. Holding off on TSS, 4 attacks is a lot.

Here's my NEW request for DSS.
Descending Storm Strike [1:4] Attack The user extends one hand forward and discharges an invisible blast of concussive energy; alternatively, the user may launch the attack from a foot. Anyone struck by the blast will be knocked back a great distance and will receive the user’s Spirit*0.7 in Physical Damage. Increases the user's Max PL by 5% per level during the attack only. {75 Spirit} -4% PL, may be used once every other level per post, capping at twice per post.
Most of it stays the same, the only difference is that it maxes out at [4:4] to round the PL bonus nicely to 20% at max level. I prefer multipliers that end in 0's than ones that end in 5's.

Deals Strength*0.95 Physical Damage Deals an additional Strength*X Physical Damage for every 20% of the target’s Missing PL. X = 0.2 per level. “Fatigued Exploitation” This attack cannot be dodged, blocked, or damage reduced by targets with 60% or more PL missing. {Advanced Combat, 75 Strength} Once every other level per thread.
At [3:3], d eals Str*0.95, Str*1.55, Str*2.15, Str*2.75, or Str*3.35 depending on how much PL a target has left. Less PL = More damage.
This attack is designed as a counter against players who rely heavily on techniques to avoid damage. Its heavy limit on uses maintains its theme as a finishing move, but the additional use is just insurance against characters who can simply get back up again.
The requirements listed are to make is teachable to other characters.

Took out the cheese and changed the use to once per thread.

Lots of stuff already one shots so I'm not really sure what to say about this one, except...if anything, I would just give it a cost.
