Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. The Third Degree; Roots, Astraea
Topic Started: Sep 13 2015, 04:39 PM (487 Views)
Angeles
Angeles was trying to find Daze, but Daze, it seemed, wasn't at his home, the one bar in the desert village. Angeles needed to find the wizard to thank him. He had done her a great service, one she had not been thankful for at first, one she had run away from him, and now with a clear mind and conscious, she needed to get it off her shoulders.

Not that she was sure he would understand anyway, and she would have to be careful to not be tempted by him. Of anyone, she knew he would be the most difficult to resist.

But he wasn't here, Bruce said he hadn't seen the wizard in a while.

So Angeles sat down at the bar to ponder. Bruce had been there when it had happened, and she was sure that he had heard, but he didn't seem to be giving her any strange looks. She slipped her coat off and set it on the stool next to her, ordering just a single shot of tequila as she began to plan what to do next.

"Astraea," Angeles hissed in scolding as her sister threatened Roots. Roots responded and took a drink. Angeles pouted, between the two. Were they really not going to get along? That would make her sad. With her hand clasped in Roots', she leaned her shoulder against his, feeling the buzz from the tequila enter her mind. She smiled and hummed happily, resting her shoulder against Roots' shoulder.

"Roots' is fine, you'll see," she said, looking pointedly as her eyes turned pure black, sclera, irises and all.

Astraea
Content with his response Astraea took in the bar a bit more. It was definitely unique in appearance. Seeing her sister start being friendly with him assured her sister's choice. "Yes I will given I am staying on Earth to help defend it. We will see how the antics of you two play out given we will probably work together on some tasks I hope." She enjoyed it on Earth the people were so vibrant and there was always something going on. Her sister needed friends she could relate to and her lover can only do so much for someone who most likely made him look like a child in age. "I think maybe you two came out here for something else than I think the word is cuddles."

Roots
Angeles seemed a little defensive, and Roots wasn't exactly sure why; Astraea seemed to have a sense of humor, but perhaps the Saiyan was mis-reading her. The Angel was warm against his body, and the Saiyan grinned softly. He glanced over at Astraea for a moment, grinning, and nodded in response to what she said. More than cuddles...?

He was silent for but a second, and then leaned forward. He grabbed his drink, and brought it to his lips, finishing it.

"More than cuddles, I'll show ya,"
He said. His actions were swift. Although lubricated, but perhaps not even close to intoxicated, when the Saiyan wanted to be he would be pretty fast. He pulled the Angel off of her stool in a flash, holding her by her back and bottom.

He leaned in, placing his lips on hers, kissing her deeply. It was only after a moment he opened his lips and teeth and tasted her breath even more intimately.

Bruce let out a long sigh as the winged creature and the Saiyan displayed their raw affection.

"Geez, get a room,"

Angeles turned to glare at Astraea for even suggesting, almost letting slip why she had been there, only to have her mind wiped with Root's touch, lifting her from her stool and into his arms, she began to protest in laughter when his lips silenced her and her eyes fluttered closed. Her arms snaked around him, the alcohol in her system and the taste of Root's lips made her easily forget everyone else was around.

Why was she here? It didn't matter anymore.

Then Bruce's voice cut through like a blade and Angeles' eyes opened, pulling away from Roots, "n-not in front of everyone," she protested, breathing heavily, cheeks bright red. Her hands remained on him though, and her body screamed, no! Here! Take him now! She sucked in a breath and began to shudder to fight it, but was able to smile, reluctantly pulling away.

"Not fair, I wasn't ready."

Astraea
"Oh my he does intend more with you sister do we need to consummate your relationship before someone of adequate status? Do either of you know of a priest or someone of a captains rank?" Smiling at the affection being shown for her sister by Roots. It felt good that her sister who had suffered so much found someone to sate her needs and bond with.

"Given our ranks from the Kai's I may be sufficient even if formality is not wanted." Winking at her sister she felt the jest may have merit on this world. "You two make a wonderful couple." Astraea was really hoping this was making them uncomfortable it could also test Roots and Angeles' bond.

Roots
Astraea's vocabulary was a little advanced for the poor Saiyan Roots. Bruce ended up being enough to embarrass Angeles enough to get her to stop, but he could smell it on her, she was hungry for him. He could hear it in her voice, too. He gave no resistance as she pulled away, and with a sly grin, he pulled himself back on his stool, and turned to his drink.

Either way, it seemed Angeles' sister approved of them being together. Roots nodded a few times, giving Astraea a good grin. His face was only slightly red, but he was in a comfortable place, actually. It was not the first, second, or third time he was at the bar. It was however, the first time he was there without Daze.

Angeles was distracted now, her mind was in a haze, but she caught what Astraea said and leaned away from her, and into Roots, "no, no, no, we don't need to have marriage, you don't need to preside over anything, we're fine here the way we are," she nodded and glared at Astraea almost playfully.

"Besides, I don't think... saiyans... get married," she looked at Roots, "do they? I know angels don't, pretty sure demons don't. So... no marriage," Angeles frowned, "we're mates," she nodded with finality.

Astraea
Hearing her sister's rambled answer Astraea was certain they would be needing a room. "Ok Angeles do what you want just keep your control." Leaning to her sister she whispered for her ears only. "You seem to be loosing yourself you may want to find a different focus before you are on your mate here in front of these people." Leaning onto the counter her focus was on Roots again. "So what have you done around here? My sister has praise of you and I would love to know some of what you have done with or without my sister."

Roots
Some of this was sailing a little over his head, but he caught they fact that had gone back to the idea of their sanctimony. There was curiosity whether or not Saiyans practiced marriage, but Angels and Demons certainly did not, so Angeles called them 'mates'.

Roots frowned softly.

That wasn't going to work. He was distracted, his ears betraying him as Astraea leaned in and whispered to Angeles. The Wolf caught himself, wringing himself back into reality as she pure Angel addressed him again. He shifted slightly, and then spoke.

"Uh..."

Perhaps 'spoke' was not the right word. He mumbled at first, and then ignored Astraea's question.

"Angeles, we are not 'mates'," He said, matter of fact-ly.

"That's what Daze calls his friends. I am Daze's mate. Sadly, you are Daze's mate. We aren't mates,"
He reached for the bottle of vodka, and took a couple swallows from it. He gave her a smile to let her know he wasn't upset, and then addressed Astraea.

"As for what the mighty Saiyan Roots has done on this planet, I've...managed two things. I got the prettiest thing on the planet to tolerate my guts, and...I fought off a few Saiyans at the wall a few months ago," The first part of his statement had been more cheerful, but upon mention of the wall, his tone fell.

Angeles
Astraea was quick to chastise her and Angeles blushed furiously, forcing herself away from Roots and glaring at her sister, "I d-- I would not!" she protested and glared at Astraea, turning away both frustrated and.... frustrated.

Roots then calmly explained that they weren't mates, because that was what Daze called his guy-friends. Weird, Angeles though Roots and Daze didn't get along, "what do we call our relationship then?" she asked, really hoping the answer wasn't 'friends with benefits.

Angeles pondered this conundrum as Roots spoke to Astraea about his deeds, not sure if the pretty thing was her or his car, and she finally turned to look at him questioningly, having not come up with an answer by herself.

Astraea
Her sister back in her senses again Astraea was curious that all Roots had managed was one fight that seemed to bother him. The other thing he said seemed to confuse her sister about as much as herself. "What pretty little thing do you mean tolerates your guts? Whatever it is it sounds like a parasite. Does my sister know of this? She has such high praise and attraction to you." This conversation was going to strange places that made no sense to the angel.

Roots
The Saiyan's blush was starting to glow already. Astraea was certainly very blunt, or loved to see her sister embarrassed. Roots was starting to assume both, and a third as well, she wanted to get under his skin, too.

The Angel asked him a question, and a good one at that-what were they? He shifted slightly in his seat, thinking. Astraea spoke before he did, asking questions, and the Saiyan spoke through his slightly reddened face.

"The pretty thing that tolerates my guts is right here," He smiled warmly at the Angel, possibly the dozenth time in the last five minutes (Bruce made an ugly face at this moment too) and then continued speaking.

"As for...as for what I'd call us..." He trailed off for a moment, but quickly caught himself.

"Mates is too simple. It's...it's..." he shook his head, and his face grew a little redder. He leaned in a little closer, speaking a little more softly.

"You said what we do was...'making love.' So, I'd say we're lovers,"

Roots confirmed that the pretty thing was her, and not a parasite like Astraea thought, "although I am something of a parasite," she murmured, being honest. She did pretty much live off of Roots, poor guy. She smiled softly to herself.

Next he pondered the same question that he had and she looked over at him as he debated. She watched him blush and lower his voice to explain his reasoning behind the term he chose; lovers. Angeles' blushed softly and worked the word around in her head, then smiled and landed a light kiss on his lips, "lovers," she confirmed.

She leaned her head against his shoulder for a moment and hummed softly, "I probably shouldn't stay here long," she admitted with a whisper.

Astraea
Thank goodness she was wrong in her assessment of what he meant. "That is good to hear my sister is in good hands. I hope it goes well for you two in this relationship you are building." Seeing their faces Astraea felt she should get going. "I have likely done something to offend or embarrass you two so I will be leaving. I only stopped by to see my sister while I was looking around anyway." Getting up she made to leave.

"Never heard of a parasite that made me feel this good," He muttered quickly, a stupid grin still on his face. Apparently his wit was rewarded with a very tender kiss, and then a very warm embrace.

Astraea spoke then, and the Saiyan gave her a grin as well. He shook his head softly.

"Of course not, Astraea, but I'm sure we'll see you again soon," He held the Fallen Angel in his arms for a few moments as her sister left, and then spoke only after a few moments of quiet.

"...Do...do you want to go outside and get in my car?" He was blushing softly, and his eyes met with the Angel's if she'd meet his. The kiss had been enough to spark him.

The bartender let out a small chortle.

"Nice one, Pooches,"

Astraea was leaving, that was what Angeles registered, she was happy for them and she was leaving. Angeles wiggled a hand from Root's back to her sister vaguely able to see her exit the doors through nearly-closed eyes.

She could have stayed like that forever.

Roots suggested something better and her eyes opened entirely black, "do you have to ask?" she asked looking into his eyes, but then hesitated, "is it in the village?" it would be bad to rush to the car if it was in the village, where a bunch pf people could possibly see them, including Daze who was bound to show up eventually.

He asked out of politeness more than anything. Sure, he could assume the Fallen was in the mood, but if he was ever unlucky enough to assume that when she wasn't...the Saiyan wasn't exactly excited to find out what that would be like. There was still an Angel of Chastity in there, just waiting to get poked and prodded to unleash some inner latent power.

"It's in my pocket, actually. Come on, I'll drive us a few...dozen...hundred miles away from this bar,"
He grinned, hesitantly, tapping his pocket where the capsule lie. The human Daze plagued his mind as well-it was literally any moment that he could just decide it was time for a nap and he'd come falling through some buzzing purple portal.

Roots wouldn't even be thinking of Daze in a few minutes, though. Neither would Angeles, they'd be thinking about each other.

Angeles was definitely buzzed now, and she knew it, and she didn't care. Roots was there. Everything was better with Roots, even burning alcohol. And Astraea was gone, which was also better, since that meant her sister could no longer try to embarrass her.

Or tell her to stop being a slut.

Angeles felt a pulse go through her body and she closed her eyes, already relishing in it, smiling, "sounds far enough away," she offered in a sultry whisper, her eyes opening again half-way, pitch black, then moved from him, stalking around him, her hand trailing from one shoulder, across his collar-bone, and then slipping away from his other shoulder with a teasing grin, and a beckon to follow.

Her hips swayed as she stalked out of the bar, not giving the saiyan so much as a backwards glance. She knew he would come.

The Saiyan had almost forgotten she had been drinking. Her eyes were pitch black, too. That usually sent twice the amount of shivers down the Saiyan's spine. He'd never say it out loud but he really enjoyed the way her eyes changed color.

Not even to mention the way she moved, curling around him, sending shockwaves of tingle through his upper body. She pulled away, motioning for him to follow, and the Saiyan stood up for a moment, following her, when-

"Hey, Roots, you gotta pay, ya jackass!" Bruce cried out, leaning forward over the bar. With a quick ohshit The Saiyan lumbered back to the bar, taking another large shot of vodka, and then reached into his cloak. After a moment, he pulled out some sort of small gun, which, with a sigh, Bruce did take.

He was out the door within a second, and swooped behind Angeles. In one smooth motion, he tossed the capsule forward, and before the smoke had even cleared Roots had the both of them in the vehicle, and the glass dome extended up and around them.

"Let's go, lover," He laughed, still holding her. The car surged off the ground, and then blasted into the sky.
