Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. We love new members and are a very welcoming bunch of people.

What are, "Mates"?; Daze, Machi

Roots
"Here...h-here we go," He muttered softly to himself. He was wearing his armor, fuck yeah he was. He had no idea if this thing was going to really, really work. He was paranoid with Daze being close, the readings from that guy's arms, and those gems, were fucking terrifying sometimes.

Not even to mention the dense magical being that was Machi. He took a long swig from his bottle of vodka, finishing off about a fourth of it. He'd need to be already a little lubed to catch up with his friends. Maybe he'd get a chance to talk to Daze about Angeles. Was there even a point? The dude couldn't remember anything.

Roots wasn't even sure if Daze liked him. The same went for Machi. They were a pretty violent pair at times, but they didn't incite the violence. He couldn't ever say they had. They were assholes, but they tipped well and paid their dues.

The Saiyan liked them.

Unfortunately, Bruce would be pretty pissed at Roots. His aim had been off, so as lighting and swirling tornado of dust (Bad on Bruce for never sweeping the damn bar) and a bright flash of colors exploded, Roots sent several chairs and tables flying in every which direction in the magical human's favorite hideout. His teleportation remote had been a success, at least that day. Not as easy as wizards, but...

Roots was coughing, waving away the smoke, but they were there. What good timing. The dust settled, and he took a step forward. Before he could speak, Bruce did.

"Damnit, Daze, this guy!? This one's the weird one! And now he's teleporting, too?"

Mystic Machi
Tilting her head in confusion as Roots crouched at the line he made, Machi mimicked him somewhat. When the race started, Roots started to run, and Machi realized all that it entailed. Running after the two, Machi soon fell a good bit behind both of them. She mostly flew everywhere, not often touching the ground.

"Wings? Where!?" Machi replied to Daze, looking around the area in hopes of spotting the winged woman. She was starting to give up on this race, as it was obvious she wasn't going to do well in it. So, she decided that doing stuff with Wings would be more fun, and more productive than this race.

"Where is Wings Daze?" she yelled out, attempting to get her master to tell her where he saw Wings.

Roots
Wait, what? Roots didn't smell Astraea, and he sure as hell didn't smell Angeles. Still, he turned, and looked. His gaze went up to the sky for just a moment, and that was all it took. He tripped on a piece of jagged brick sticking out of the scarred earth and tumbled forward, smashing into and through what remained of a rusted, old car.

"Ow...ough....damnit, damnit," He picked himself from the wreckage, noting he had cut his arm, and snorted at Machi. She had been totally deduced.

But now Daze was beating him!

"Hey, w-wait!" Roots cried, trailing the human.

Daze
"Eat my dust dog boy!!" Daze shouted as he ran as fast as his legs could take him.

Shit, Roots is catching up. Shit. What can I do to slow him down. Dog boy is going to catch up... Daze thought running and running to a destination he was unaware of. Wait. I know. Daze thought, focusing really hard, trying not the accidentally all over the place.

Pfffffffftroooooooouuuuuuuguhmphhhfffft....

Daze let one rip. Right in front of Mr. Dog Nose's path.

Chemical Warfare was not forbidden and Daze was not a very classy man.

Mystic Machi
"They aren't here are they?" Machi asked the two who were busy racing. A little disappointed, Machi just continued to run after the two men. She was slower than the other two, but, she didn't want to be left too far behind. As soon as the race was over, she'd just fly and join them at the end. It was a bit hard for her to resist not flying at all, as she knew she was going to lose, and just wanted to get it over with.

Roots
"Nope!" Roots cried out in response to Machi. The Saiyan was gaining ground on the Majin's master, and he was about ready to be able to reach out and smack him on the back of the head for his trick when a low sound hit his ears.

And then a very high intensity stench slammed his nose, and it was foul.

"Ah, what the fuck!?" Both hands flew to his nose and he actually tumbled forward. He did not give up his momentum, but he did give up a lot of speed. He rolled up to his feet, scrambling to his feet with no hands, still covering his face. Tears streamed from his eyes. Daze was going to win, that bastard.

"Y-you cheater!" Roots shouted, giving it up. His running slowed into a crawl and he bent down, coughing. The stench of Daze's bowels still tortured his nasal passages.

Daze
"HAHAHA! Never underestimate the great and powerful Daze of the Desert!!" Daze shouted, running towards the finishing point, wherever it was.

Damn. I hope I didn't shit my pants... He thought as he kept going until he felt he needed to stop. Or whenever Roots told him to stop. Maybe he just kept going.

It's not like Daze cheated. They never said he couldn't do those things. Just no portals, martial arts movie shit and no flying. It's not Daze's fault Roots' fell for his shenanigans. In fact, he should have expected them coming from Daze. It just means Daze can't pull his stunts during the tournament on Roots. The very one they aren't aware exists right now. But still.

Mystic Machi
AS she followed two to the best of her ability, Machi noticed that Roots suddenly changed how he ran. In fact, he even fell forward, but managed to get back up on his feet. Catching up to Roots after he bent over, Machi wondered what exactly Daze as done.

"Daze! I think something is wrong with Pooches!" Machi called out, remaining at Roots, crouching to get a better look at his face.

"Are you okay Pooches?"

Roots
"Aggghh..." Roots squirmed. Whatever Daze had eaten the night before had been potent. Machi was on top of him pretty quickly, informing the human and then inquiring directly of the Saiyan's condition. He let out a cough before he replied in a weak voice.

"You heard it yourself, never underestimate the great and powerful Daze of the Desert," He giggled. He wiped tears from his eyes, and inhaled through his nose. Stuffy.

"I gotta head back," He pushed himself to two feet, straightening himself.

"But I've got an idea I'm gonna see you guys again pretty soon," He gave them both a thumbs up-nose still running.

Daze
Daze, sadly was too far ahead to hear much of what was going on. He stopped for a moment to catch his breath and turn around to face his mates. They were a good half a football field away. He grumbled in frustration that he had to turn around and run back to them.

Damn. I'm so slow. Body, get faster. Do somethin'... Daze thought.

With that, the two orbs in his arms flared up a bright blue, engulfing his body in an invisible magical aura. Daze felt... strange. Lighter in some way. Nodding with confidence, Daze took off towards the two. Moving much faster than before. It was like, the whole world was under water and he wasn't. There was nothing between him and them. Just a vacuum of empty space. Space he closed far quicker than last time.

"Oi, what you lot tlakin' bout?" Daze asked.

Mystic Machi
"Something happened to Pooches, and I dunno what it is," Machi attempted to answer, not quite knowing how to explain it. He had been running, then had stopped running with something happening in between. What that something was, Machi didn't know, but, maybe Daze would have some idea. He usually came up with some sort of explanation when it came to this sort of thing. Most of them usually didn't make much sense, but Machi wasn't much of one to question.

"He says he's gotta go back too," Machi added, a bit saddened by the fact. She enjoyed Pooches company, he was their mate, and being a mate was a good thing.

Roots
"What the...what?" Roots exclaimed. Daze had zipped right up to the both of them.

...

Why the fuck did he fart in my face, then? The Saiyan scowled, but realized quickly that Daze himself probably had less of a clue than he did. Fortunately, Machi was useful to Roots and told her master the Saiyan had to leave.

"Had a lot of fun today, mates. Let's do it again tomorrow. Maybe day after that," He gave them both a thumbs up and pulled his remote from his pocket. He waved goodbye as he powered it up and then in a flash of rainbow colors, zapped out of existence.

Daze
"Deuces, I guess. Don't be such a bitch next time!" Daze shouted as Roots was fading away.

Of course, he was only playing. He just wanted to fuck with his mate. Isn't a good day with Roots if the two of them don't rag on each other. He doesn't have that kind of relationship with his other mates. Well. Besides Cassi. But he was actively tryin' to smash that, so it was weird. Sort of like his relationship with Machi. He was her maker, master, friend and a whole lot more.

A therapist would love to tap into the workings of that. Thankfully all of them are dead. Well. At least to Daze.

"Damn, there goes that fun. Guess we'll head home. You good Bubble-Gum-Babe?" Daze asked.

Mystic Machi
"Bye Pooches!" Machi exclaimed, feeling like she had said something like that in a similar situation in some time similar to this. Shrugging, she wasn't going to dwell on it.

"Yeah! Let's go home!" Machi exclaimed, looking forward to their next adventure that would most likely arise from going to a new place. Even at home, one could find adventure if you were to look for it.
