Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. Astraea
Alone in the desert a Fallen Angel returned to a bar that she had only frequented to scold her sister. Astraea was happy to be here and not out in the world. Laughing as she sat at the bar this was a reversal of last time this stool was used. "A drink and hopefully some quiet time." Resting and examining her drink she hoped this could last without conflict.

Daze
NOPE!

No such thing could be had today, for it was a day. A Daze day. The kind of day that involved Daze.

...Daze!

"Ugh.... where... what?" a voice called out from a room above the bar.

There laid a hungover Daze. Super hungover. But he's very used to that feeling. So much so that his body has adapted to it. It's almost a constant state he's in unless he's drinking. He forces his body to deal with the chemicals that cause hangovers later by shoving chemicals he can deal with easier into his body.

Namely more alcohol.

"I'm thirsty..." Daze muttered, smacking his dry lips.

Suddenly a portal opened up beneath him, having him collapse what looked like through the ceiling of the bar Astraea was sitting in. There, laying on the floor was a barely clothed Daze. He was wearing pants, thankfully. But that was about it.

"What time is it?" Daze asked aloud, laying on the floor, staring up at the ceiling.

Stifling a laugh at the state of Daze and his appearance Astraea had a great view of the entrance. "It is sometime in the afternoon and you are hopelessly sober Daze." She was uncertain if he had been upstairs or just fallen through several portals on his way here.

Getting up Astraea pulled him off the ground and onto a stool so he cut out the problems that seemed to come with mornings after alcohol. "How are you and your portals Daze?" Grinning as she sat back down. His appearance was going to have some fun and interesting times rather than the hoped for dullness.

Daze
"We're doin' great. Explored some places, did some things, drank some drinks," he rambled, rubbing the top of his head.

He appreciated the lift from the Angel. The ground was anything but comfortable.

"You're right, sober. Ugh. I can't remember what I was doin' last night..." Daze said, looking around for clues but promptly gave up when he noticed who was sitting next to him exactly. "Oh! Shit. Red!" Daze laughed, catching up to the world. "The fuck you doin' way out here?" he said with a shit eating grin stretched across his face.

Smiling at Daze she was not sure if he would remember what was said. "It is peaceful and less people frequent this part of the world." Waving the barkeep over so Daze could get something Astraea was uncertain what else to add. "Do you live here Daze?" Her alcohol was not bad in small amounts and maybe it would affect her less.

"Yeah, there's rooms on the second floor, been living here for as long as I can remember," Daze said, waving his hand at Bruce, the barkeep.

Bruce just sighed, shaking his head before bringing Daze a shot glass with a bottle of Vodka. It was early in the day, but he didn't mind. Any time of day was good for drinks. Well, more like all the time was good for drinks. It helped him cope with the haze his magic has on his mind.

"Afternoon though, huh? Pretty early," he laughed, taking a shot. "You huntin' Wings down? She ain't here. Been a while since she's come over to see me. Strange, usually they come back for more," he claimed, wearing his typical shit eating grin.

Daze confirmed the lack of visits from her sister which made this a better spot to be. "I came out here to get away from people like my sister. I have been learning about myself and she either knows what has been going on or I don't want to tell her." Looking at her cup it was good to have Daze to talk to at least he had humor.

"A know it all, huh?" Daze asked rhetorically about Angeles. "Yeah that kind of shit can rub me the wrong way too. I don't have the time for people to sit there and know everythin' about nothin'," He said, letting out a small laugh as he took his shot.

He promptly slammed the shot glass on the table before pouring himself another one. If some is good then more is obviously better. Right?

...

"So, what have you learned 'bout yourself?" Daze asked.

He was at least good for conversation. He asked questions, even if he wasn't going to remember the answers later.

Astraea could appreciate his view on the subject. "What have I learned, I guess the best thing I learned is letting go. The best feeling came from hurting bandits and not bottling up my emotions." There were always other things that happened but they were pointless. "I guess you could say regret and worry are getting ignored or lost currently."

"Yeah, it's best not to let shit get to you," Daze said aloud, agreeing with the concept of letting things go. "If I let every little thing stress me out I'd be upset at everyone and everything for whatever," he added, giving no specific details.

He could rant about Azuki dropping off the face of the Earth, Cassi avoiding him for a couple months, Roots being a twat time to time, Wings bailing out without her pants on the morning after or even Red blowing her top at Yunzabit Heights. But he didn't see the point in stressing over it.

"Just got live on," he said, surprisingly philosophical for someone who has just had three shots of Vodka in the middle of the afternoon.

Oh wait, four now.

Astraea
Watching Daze drink so much alcohol was astonishing while she was taking it slow on hers. The drink was still getting to her a bit but nowhere near if she was drinking like him. "Oh by the way did you find your majin after our last meeting? I can only imagine how that went." Surprisingly it was hard to find things to discuss while drinking.

"Yeah, I found her... kind of," Daze laughed, stopping with the shots for now. "I sort of forgot we were playin' a game and she found me passed out in some forest or somethin'," he claimed, leaning back a bit to stretch.

Daze was at a good point in drinking. Any more and he'd start to get rambunctious, frisky and loud. Well. More so than usual. Astraea was already starting to look even better to him. Not that she didn't before, but now he was hiding the fact that he was staring at her chest even less.

"What you aimin' for anyway?" Daze asked, likely too vaguely. "Like, end of it all. Say you find yourself. What then?" Daze asked, likely too deep of a question.

Astraea had to spend some time pondering the question. It was a rather deep and self understanding question that likely needed to be known. Astraea had never bothered to think about any of this since the change. "I suppose then I will be able to do what I want without fear of loosing control. The end of the road is still uncertain and I am uncertain what I will be. Whatever the end is I am not regretting what I am doing."

Daze
"Then it sounds like you'll be free," Daze noted, spinning in his chair so that his back was to the bar.

He carelessly, leaned back against it, elbows holding him up. It was empty. Not a single other person was there but Astraea, Daze and Bruce, the barkeep. Daze wasn't surprised. The world isn't as big as it used to be. The only reason a business this small can survive is there's no one to pay dues to anymore. You claim a piece of land, put a building on it and it's as good as yours.

"It's ironic," Daze said, not likely knowing the true meaning of the word. "You have wings, but you can't fly," he added, making a metaphor about her lack of freedom. "In a cage, desperate to be let out," he continued, getting a tad bit more philosophical.

It's possible all his time spent in the Fade has cleared his mind.

Or that the alcohol was getting to him.

Astraea stared at him confused about what Daze had just said. Something deep and profound had come from him when all she usually saw was a strange drunk who fried his brain somewhere. "Wow, wherever you got that from it is profound and so true." Everything she was dealing with and Daze managed to philosophy it in one go.

"Of course!" Daze said, a tad bit too loud.

He leaned his head back a bit, looking up at the ceiling. He had a lot of feelings inside of him, conveying them properly was the issue. His magic made focus a difficult thing for him. So instead he usually resorted to anger, impatience and impulsiveness. Liquor though, it helped. It calmed him just enough to function closer to a normal person.

"I only speak the truth after all!" he added... likely discrediting everything established about him in the last moment.

This had started out dull and gone to some great conversation, Daze was good at that apparently. Astraea could respect him and the way he lived without any shame or worry of outcome, so far his was the best example for what she was doing. "The truth has far as you know at least but you are good with what you know." Enjoying her drink some more she wanted a moment. "Any plans today or just going to enjoy some more alcohol for now?"

"Plans require too much structure, I prefer to live life as it comes to me," Daze said, turning back around and taking another shot. His body had already begun to process the alcohol being so used to by now. That or his magic was treating it as a healing process of some kind. Likely both.

"If I take whatever opportunity comes to me, then I get more out of life. If nothing happens then it was meant for me to just lay back and drink," Daze laughed. "Like today, it was meant for me to chill with you. I slept in too late, did nothing and boom, here we are," Daze's way of life was almost religious.

That or lazy.

Probably lazy.

Finishing her drink Astraea waved for a refill as she listened to Daze speak. His out look made her laugh and giggle a little but the latter may have been the alcohol helping. "I like your outlook better than the other options that have been spouted or given to me in my life. It is probably better your way but everyone else wants to plot, scheme, or worry about things beyond their control."

Resting her head on one of her hands and sipping some more she was unsure what to do. "I may stay here a while away from the annoyances of the world and just relax. Taking a break would probably be good for once."

"Damn right! Demons, Saiyans, Robots, fuck'em," Daze said before taking a shot. "Everything is always tryin' to fall apart. Worryin' about shit you can't do nothin' about is only gonna piss you off. Better to relax and fix the things you actually can," Daze said just before waving for another drink.

"Like me not being drunk yet. I can fix that," he concluded before taking another shot.
