Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Expedient Weapon Auras [1:1] -Ability-
The act of gathering the magic for weapon auras take some time, time that would be better suited for fighting against others instead. This ability allows the user to do just that, expend more energy now to get into the fight right away.
The user can pay an additional 5% of their PL to activate a "Weapon Aura" Technique alongside another ATBS.

Carbonite Short Sword [1:10] Weapon
Created by Celeste at Bloom's request, this is a short sword created using Carbonite, an unique non-metallic metal alloy. Black in color, the weapon has a rough texture besides for the edges of the blade. Gives +2 to Dexterity per level when used with an ATBS.

Passive Energy Collection [1:1] -Ability-
In combat, energy used to fight each other is often lost when the attack is avoided/blocked/parried. This energy can be collected, and put to great use in battle, if you're careful enough.
A "Weapon Aura" ATBS must be active to apply these effects.
Whenever the user defends against an ATBS, a magical charge of energy manifests itself near the user that may be used for additional effects. The charges remain until used or until the user no longer has a "Weapon Aura" active.

Unwavering Defense, First Stance [1:5] Technique
Weapon held straight towards the opponent, this stance is designed for defensive parrying of the opponent's attacks. In this stance, the user makes no attacks, but flows through the offense and comes out unscathed.
While active, the user may not perform an offensive action during the post this stance is successfully used. For each level, the user's dexterity is increased by 5 for defensive stat checks. Allows the user to parry any Strength or Dexterity attack made against them if the user's Dex is higher than the attack's stat.
{Sword Stances, 30 Dex} -4% Power level per attack parried

Unwavering Defense, Second Stance [1:5] Technique
Taking the stance of defense to the next level, the user adds a magical energy to the ward off attacks a simple sword cannot do by itself. By using the magic, the user is able to guide attacks
-Keeps all effects of Unwavering Defense, First Stance
-Grants +5 wisdom per level for defensive stat checks
-If the user's wisdom is greater than 60% of the target's ranged attack stat, the user can redirect the blast to flow around them. Cannot redirect at another target.
-Cannot make an attack the same post this Technique is used successfully.
{First Stance [5:5], 50 Dex, 30 Wisdom} -8% PL per attack parried-

Weapon Aura: Great Sword [1:5] -Technique-
Enhancing their weapon with magic, the user creates a massive sword of magic using their weapon as a base for it. This greatly increases the weapon's ability, as it gives it more power and ability, without sacrificing speed due to weight.
-Increases Dex/Wisdom by +2 per level.
-Adds X Wisdom Mental Damage to all weapon attacks in which X = 10% Wisdom per level. Adding an additional 10% at max level, for 60% Wisdom.
[60 Wisdom, 60 Dexterity, Weapon Auras] -5% PL to activate, 5% per post active.

The art of the sword is more than just swinging a weapon around and hoping to cut something off your opponent. Well... it kinda is. But, sword stances allow the weapon user to gain extra benefits while in such stances.

Weapon Auras [1:1] Skill
By channeling magic through a sword, the user is able to enhance the weapon in many amazing ways. Because of the freedom magic offers, the auras that can be created are basically limited by the imagination and skill.
Allows development of magical ATBS to enhance the user's weapons in some way.

I have a question, the ATBS seems fine but one is confusing me,

This seems to imply that as long as you have the PL to spend, you can use this to activate as many Weapon Aura techniques as you want. So in theory if you had the PL to spend, you could activate 20 Weapon aura abilities (or more) in a single post?

I suppose it would, yeah. I did intend for it to be a single use per post, so that is how I'll change it.
