Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. Daze
It had been some arbitrary amount of time since the Tao mess in some place Daze was actually unfamiliar with. He met new people, took a hit for Red and overall had a good time. Minus the Lurch almost dying. That was a bust. Couldn't help that, though. Maybe next time.

Daze on the other hand... was unconscious. Half on his bed, half hanging off, sawing logs with his loud snores. Normally not an issue, but it was mid-day.

There was likely something more productive to do with his day than sleep it away. It's a wonder Bruce lets him do this. It's also a wonder he still hangs here and not party city. If you ask him, Daze'll say something along the lines of, "You can't live in a party, just visit for a while," or something.

He'd also be making it up and be lying. But that was the Daze way.

Mystic Machi
Time, it was something Machi had an abundance of. After their last fun time of seeing Lurch get hurt a lot, they had eventually made their way back to their home where all the sand lived. Since then, they had done some stuff, and other stuff. But, like most nights, Machi had gone around and watched some people do stuff, and watched Daze as well.

Right now, for instance, Machi was watching Daze sleep, even though it was far into the day. She knew that people were usually up during this time of day, but Daze was typically like this. If someone didn't wake him up earlier, then he tended to sleep for a long time. Though, Machi figured he had been sleeping long enough.

"Daze... stop the sleeping now," Machi stated suddenly, poking Daze in the face with her finger. She couldn't do much to actually wake the man up, because of the binding magic preventing her from hurting him intentionally, and that he could sleep through a lot.

She would prevail eventually, just have to give it some time. Which was something she had a lot of.

Daze
Daze grumbled a bit, rolling a bit further onto the bed. Well. An attempt. But due to half of his body being off of the bed, the attempt turned into him sliding off of the bed mid-roll, landing with a thud. Of course, he wasn't phased by it very much. He was used to getting hurt in his sleep. And when you drink yourself to sleep as much as this man... you tend to be able to sleep through a lot.

"Pooches... quit liking my face..." Daze mumbled in his sleep, to an ever persistant Machi.

Machi was going to have to try harder to wake this sleeping bafoon.

Mystic Machi
Her efforts had caused him to fall off the bed, and that was about it. He muttered something about Pooches licking his face, which led Machi to think about Pooches doing such a thing. It was a weird image to say the least, but Machi quickly shook it out of her head, she had more pressing matters to attend to.

"Daaaaazzzeeeee.... Wake up!" Machi said louder, floating in the air above the man. Wondering on how she would wake him up, she didn't have a lot of ideas. She didn't sleep, so, she didn't know what woke people up. First thing that came to mind was pain, but she couldn't do that to him. Maybe something that was outside the norm, something that could startle him.

Holding her hand out towards Daze, Machi gathered her Ki and created something to fall on Daze. What she had created was ice, a magical substance to the Majin. Moving her hand back and forth over Daze, she hoped that the sudden change in temperature on his near naked body would do the trick.

"I believe in you ice!" Machi exclaimed, continuing to create the ice.

Daze
"Sooo cold... when did Wings get here...?" Daze asked in his sleep, reaching around for a blanket.

Sadly though, he was on the floor. There was no blanket. There was, however, a Machi. So Daze did as best he could and grappled the Machi and pulled her onto him for warmth. Which likely didn't do much since she had ice. But still, efforts were had and Daze was getting close to waking up.

He was almost there.

"Noooooo... you need to get up Daze!" Machi was getting a bit annoyed by this, he had the sleeping endurance of a master. If the mystical properties of ice wouldn't do the trick, them Machi would need to do something herself. But still, the question was what?

Being in Daze's grip was both a good and bad thing. She liked being close to Daze, he was her master and it was something that made her feel good. But, she couldn't do as much in this close of quarters, her movement options being basically cut off. So, maybe she'd try yelling as loud as she could, she hadn't tried that yet.

Drawing in breath, Machi inhaled until her body expanded a small bit. Holding much more air than a normal person could dream of breathing, Machi let it out as a massive scream right in Daze's face.

Too bad she didn't know people could get hurt by loud noises like this, or else she wouldn't have done it. Oh well, what you don't know doesn't hurt ya.

"RED, NO, I'M SORRY!!" Daze screamed in horror as the screaming started.

The force of the scream caused him to let Machi go, stumble to his feet, onto and over his bed on the other side. A loud thud was heard from Daze, his legs straight up as he was somewhat stuck between the bed and the wall.

"I can't move.... I can't hear.... why is this happening to me...?" Daze mumbled rather pathetically.

Recoiling a bit from Daze's sudden scream, Machi figured that she had finally done the trick and woke him up. Watching as he moved across the room and fell by the bed, Machi floated into the air, moving to fly above her master. Barely catching what he had said, Machi was sure that Daze was awake now.

"Hi Daze!" Machi greeted, grand smile on her face, "Let's do something!" Machi was always ready to go, her magical body not needing much rest like normal people. As an example of this, Machi reached down for Daze's arms and attempted to pull him out of the crevasse with her flight ability. How that would turn out, was anybody's guess.

Daze
Daze, being nearly yanked out of the hole by the arms, began to push up with his head to assist Machi. Mostly so his arms didn't get dislocated by the impressive flight ability of the Majin. Maybe it would be her arms that'd stretch and dislocate. Something Daze wasn't wanting to test or see.

"Yeah, sure. Somethin' sounds fun," Daze said, using his legs to stand himself up on his bed. "What kind of somethin' you thinkin' of?" Daze asked, now standing upright.

They had worked together to get Daze up, and Machi ended up floating in the air by the bed. Looking at Daze as he stood there and asked his question, Machi didn't know what they should do. Normally, Daze would go off somewhere and get in trouble, which led Machi to join him in his journeys. It wasn't very often that Machi offered something as an idea.

"Hmmm...." Machi replied, turning in the air slightly as she thought about it. She first went to Daze's four ways of living, as that was most likely going to give her the best answer. Fucking, Fighting, Drinking, and music, which would provide the best for the Majin this day? With a leap of logic, Machi decided to go with fighting, as that would lead her to something she had been meaning to do. Unlike Daze, Machi could usually remember things from the past, like plans to get stronger to be able to protect Daze.

"You should teach me to fight! So that we can fight together forever!"

"Fight huh? Yeah. Sure. We can do that. Need the exercise today anyways. Feels like I'm gettin' fat," Daze laughed, taking a step off of the bed and through a portal placed on the ground.

He popped up just outside the pub, twinkling his toes into the sand.

"Oi! Bubble-Gum-Babe, come on up... err... Down!" Daze said, shaking his head.

Location was difficult... and relative. In some context, it would be up instead of down if they were on the bottom of the planet. Unless the Earth-conception of the universe is upside down, then come on down would be more correct.

Smiling a bit as Daze agreed to her plan, Machi was happy that things were going well. She had expected them to though, considering fighting was one of his reasons for living. But, she couldn't help but feel a pang of panic as he went through a portal, wondering if he ended up on the other side of the world. However, that soon went away as he called to her from outside.

"Okay!" Machi quickly replied, flying out the broken window to land on the ground by the man. Looking around a bit, Machi noticed it was your average day in a desert, which was just fine for the Majin. She wasn't like your average person, as she didn't get affected by heat and cold like most people. So, a desert was the same as a frozen tundra, it didn't matter much.

"Want me to blast you again like last time? To see how strong I am?" she questioned, remembering the first time they had done something like this. It was something she hadn't liked, but she did it because he told her to. But now, she knew he was strong, and that he should have no problem taking a blast from her.

"Yeah. Sure. See if you can launch a blast I can't punch away. It'll be fun. Let's see how good you've gotten Bubble-Gum-Babe!" Daze shouted before leaping back. He skid backwards a good foot using his hands as support while leaning forward. He honestly just wanted to make an action pose he saw on a movie poster at an old abandoned theater in city ruins.

"Give me your all!" Daze shouted.

Not actually meaning her all. After all, they didn't want to destroy their home.

"Alright Daze!" Machi replied, flying down the street the other way from Daze. After a bit of distance, Machi turned back to Daze and started gathering her Ki. Pouring as much energy as she could into her blast, Machi sent it flying towards Daze.

"Be careful Daze!" Machi called out to her master, even though she had just did the attack he should be careful about. She doubted it would be an issue for the man though, as she knew he was powerful.

Daze smirked as the blast came blasting in at him. He had intended to take the blast full on. But something in his head started to buzz as the blast drew closer. It was way different than last time. His life began to flash before his eyes for a brief second. Only so because he could only remember a brief second of his life.

Maybe he was just remembering breakfast?

Daze shook his head and slapped the blast towards the sky with a deflecting palm. He extended his hand like some kind of martial arts imitator and waved inwards, beckoning Machi for more.

Watching her blast sail towards Daze, Machi was starting to worry that she might hurt the man. But, as the blast got closer and closer, she didn't have anything to worry about, as the man sent the blast flying into the sky. Then, Daze made a gesture asking for more, and, Machi was more than willing to give it.

"Here I come!" Machi yelled out, gathering Ki in both hands. Instead of a singular blast of energy, Machi threw the two, then two more after that. Four blasts of powerful Ki were headed towards Daze, blast that she fully expected her master to deflect as easily as the first.

Daze
Shit, too many. Gotta block it... Daze thought, summoning the magical energies around his body. Dust, dirt and grime covered him to help defend against the physical problems that are heading his way.

"Can you even hurt me...?" Daze whispered to himself with a slight tone of sorrow.

It just occurred to him that he's never really lost a fight. Can he be defeated? Maybe he can't die. Would be destined to walk the Earth like this forever. Watch the world burn aroun--

BOOM!!

"UGHGUHOOOgh...." Daze grunted as the explosions launched him backwards and into the air about half a kilometer. "Machi blasts are definately stronger than I remember..."

Her blasts flew towards Daze, and she was watching in anticipation for him to deflect them away like the first one. Though, he didn't do that, but, instead got hit by them. This was something Machi didn't like, didn't like at all. Though, she did see him get launched away from the blasts, so, she figured he was probably alright.

Launching forward with her flight, Machi moved to join Daze. It wouldn't take her long to reach him, her flight was fairly quick.

"How did I do Daze?" Machi asked the man when she reached his position. Looking expectantly at her master, Machi figured she had gotten stronger over the time she had been alive, and hoped she was right. It had been hard for her to know though, considering she hardly fought people.

Daze
Daze left a trail in the sand nearby. His body dragged a good few dozen yards across the dunes, leaving what looked like a meteor impact. His body was covered in sand, dirt and rock. But a shit eating grin was ever present as per normal.

"Can't move... you hit me too hard," Daze jested, knowing full well it was a result of his spell.

After hearing the answer from Daze, Machi was getting a little worried. If he couldn't move, he couldn't protect himself. Also, he wouldn't be able to drink or eat on his own, Machi would have to do everything for the man. But that was a sacrifice she was willing to make.

"I'm sorry Daze! You said to give it my all," Machi was starting to get a tad bit upset, even though she had just resolved herself to take care of Daze forever. Machi was quite fickle.
