Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. Kamrun
The only village in the desert, is what he had told her. After she had helped out at the port, and paid a visit to Bruin who seemed to live there. She headed off out towards the desert on a quest for magic beans, which reminded her of a children's story her mother used to read her. She had no cows to sell, so hopefully her and the white-haired man could strike a deal some other way.

Now normally 'the only village in the desert' would have been just as dangerous as 'go play in traffic' for someone who didn't know the expansive geography of the sandy place, and could easily get lost and die of dehydration. But as it so happened, Kamrun knew where the village was, stumbling upon it in her time of need, having been lost and dehydrated, and paid for water with her healing skill.

Assuming there wasn't another 'only village in the desert,' and that the man had simply been speaking about the only one he knew of, she arrived at the small town by the rocks and looked around. She had assumed he would be immediately visible. However, it wasn't difficult to find white-haired men, asking around is what helped her find Bruin after all. She knew the best place to get information was the bar, so that was where she headed, stepping in and going to the counter. She waved at the barkeep with a friendly smile, "hello, some water please," she asked, certain it wasn't an odd request, "and um, "I'm looking for a man, about this tall, white hair and dark skin?"

Kamrun chuckled and looked at the bottle, scooting over to it and pouring more in the shot glass that was still available to her. She was already drunk, and wasn't going anywhere in this storm, may as well. Daze then went to the stairs to go get music.

Kamrun was about to drink her shot when Bruce began to explain. Blue eyes blinked and stared as Bruce explained, and her eyes went back to the stairs, "he can't remember?"

Her lips remained parted for a bit, then closed as her brow bent in concern, "you don't know how it happened?"

Daze
"I found him out in the Desert when he was nine. Back then I made quite a hefty living doing deliveries between towns. As you'd imagine it was quite a dangerous job at that time because of the Androids. He was young, with white hair and just as brash as he is today," Bruce said with a smile. "He wasn't anywhere near as strong... but he had those orbs in his arms. He told me about fifteen different stories about them in just one year. All of them made up on the spot I imagine," Bruce added while cleaning up the tables around them with a cloth.

"Ever since then he's just gotten stronger because of that magic. Maybe it was him. I was never able to tell. But I've been taking care of him since then. Granted, at this point it's more that he's taking care of me. He's saved my life more times than I can count," Bruce finished with a smile.

Daze was rummaging through something upstairs still, obviously unable to easily find what he was looking for.

"Since he was nine...," gasped Kamrun, looking at the drink and swallowing, she set the glass back down, having lost the taste for it. She looked over at Bruce, then moved towards the stairs, walking up it to Daze's room. She slipped in and walked to where he was rummaging, then bent and wrapped her arms around him, almost just laying on him.

"Hey," she said with a smile, "how about we go to sleep instead, sleep should be the sixth reason for living. I like sleep. I walked here after all."

She smiled, almost affectionately, pulling some of his hair gently to one side to see his face.

Daze
"Oh, BB?" Daze questioned, her body laying on his back. "Yeah, we can, um, do that," Daze said with a slight quiver in his tone.

It was unusual. He wasn't used to that. Normally things turned out different. This was a nice change of pace. Not to mention she had a good argument. Sleep was something he enjoyed doing after all. He did it a lot and it agitated one of his mates quite a lot. So, without wanting to knock Kamrun over, he stood up and turned to face her.

"My bed's over here... if you want your own room I can show you to it," Daze said politely, not wanting to take advantage of her and force her into his bed.

He wasn't like that.

"Yeah, I can sleep in my own room if that's okay, haven't shared a room since my brothers passed, I've gotten kinda used to it," she smiled, standing as he did so that she didn't fall over. She shrugged, "if you're not tired you can still hang out with Bruce downstairs, he's probably lonely just him and the sand."

She stuck her teeth between her tongue, "besides, there's still some of that whiskey I left down there, you can have it."

"You mean this Whiskey?" Daze said, reaching off to the side with his tongue stuck out, grabbing the bottle through a portal and pulling it out in one swift motion. "You sure didn't leave me a whole lot. Cinnamon Death must be your thing," he teased, pressing the bottle to his lips and taking a swig.

"Now hey, if you wanted to share a room, by all means. I'd love your company," he teased once more, taking a few steps towards the door before using his hand to hold him up, the free one. His whiskey holding hand had a more important job. Holding whiskey.

He began to reach for the door to open it, waiting for her reaction on his offer. He offered it in jest, but he was of course going to wait and see if she knew that first.

Not a very wise man.

Daze cheated by using his portal magic to grab the whisky and take a drink of it, he then headed to the door, offering to take her to her room, or let her sleep in his bed.

She watched him get near the door, then pounced onto the bed, spreading her arms to take up as much of it as possible, "my bed now, you can sleep in the other one," she chuckled, burying her face in his pillow, which smelled like him. Hell the whole room smelled like him, and cinnamon, but she was sure that was because some of the whiskey had gone up her nose during her coughing fit.

"Goodnight," she teased.

Daze
Daze's eyes widened. Only the sound of a now empty Whiskey Bottle hitting the floor filled the air. Minus the Sandstorm. That likely overshadowed the whiskey bottle. But it was dying down now and far less noisy. That's not the point. Someone took Daze's bed. His bed. Claimed it as their own.

That just wouldn't do.

"Oh, really?" Daze asked with a slight hint of excitement in his voice.

He took about four long strides to his bed, each threatening to make him topple over. The last one succeeded. He plunged forward, a bit more than intended, landing on the bed and on top of Kamrun. The side of the bed absorbed most of the impact due to Daze's knees impacting it. This caused him to slam his hand on the open bed space so that he lightly landed on her.

"Knee. Ow." he muttered under his breath, closing one eye and wincing from what felt like funny bone pain.

With a grunt he wiggled himself onto the bed, sort of squeezing himself in the available space, facing Kamrun. Through his pain and frustration all he could manage was a, "Hi."

And in four simple, wobbly steps, Daze was at the bed, He fell in and on top of her, causing her to laugh and squirm out from under him. He hit his knee on the way down, and she bent slightly to poke and heal the superficial pain. He curled up in what space he could, and she made it difficult by moving to try to take up the space he was trying to lay on, until finally he managed to get on the bed.

"Hi," she responded with a laugh, putting a hand on his shoulder and rocking him, as if threatening to roll him out of the bed.

"You're in my bed," she teased, sticking her tongue between her teeth again.

Daze
"It's got my name on it," Daze said, sticking his tongue out, pointing to the headboard where if one looked very carefully they could find incredibly old carvings. Many of them looked like caveman drawings of some kind. In some way, one of the etches looked like of like his name. Some of the letters were backwards. But it kind of said Daze.

The etching was more than likely over ten years old.

"I'll share though, you're good people. Me mate," He said, grabbing at her hand and placing it on his chest.

Kamrun shifted to look at the headboard. She tilted her head back and forth until she could make out the name and she hummed, "well, can't argue with that," she said, and flipped over to try to roll out of the bed and sleep under it instead.

But she hit a wall, a literal wall.

"Ow," she winced then put her hand on the wall, "nevermind that didn't work," she flipped over and chuckled at her failed attempt.

Daze then said he'd share, taking her hand and putting it on his chest. His skin was warm, or her hand was cold.

She smiled, "thanks Daze, never had a mate before."

She chuckled closing he eyes, murmuring, "or a bed."

Daze let out a soft snort, trying not to laugh at her attempt off of the bed. It failed, but it amused him. Mostly because he's forgotten which way he's laid down in bed several times and rolled into that wall on more than one occasion. As in dozens. Dozens of times. Simple life, simple man.

However, Kam's next words hit Daze hard.

"Wait... really?" he asked, taking it far more serious than he probably should. "Naw. That ain't right. You're one of me mates now. My bed is your bed. You can use it anytime you like," Daze said offering her a soft smile versus his normal shit eating grin.

His mates should want for nothing. In his mind at least.

Kamrun's eyes opened at his disbelief, she smiled, "didn't say it to make you worry," she said, "lived my life on the run from androids, made me tough, found out what dirts are softer than others," she smiled, "not sure if you want to offer me your bed whenever I want, I'll never leave, and I'll get fat from laziness."

"Oh, not around here you won't. Too hot. It'll burn the fat right off," Daze laughed. "Not to mention trouble finds it's way here too often. You'll have your hands full of people to heal," Daze added, nodding his head.

He wasn't wrong. Bandits, thugs and Daze's mates tended to cause havoc around here. Especially Roots. He once beat Daze into the ground outside the pub. Of course Daze got up without a scratch, mostly to insult the Saiyan's pride. It was a fun thing to do. Daze liked fun. Speaking of.

"Besides, you're fun and you never know. I might finally meet the person who will hurt me more than I can heal back. You could save my life one day," Daze added. "Did I mention I think you're pretty?"

"Alright not fat then," she chuckled, "instead I'l get skinny cause the sun melts me all away," she grinned opening her eyes again, "I don't think anyone can hurt you," she sighed, her head feeling heavy as sleep started trying to settle, "but sure, I'll save your life if you want," she smiled, teasingly.

"I'm pretty sure you may have possibly mentioned I was pretty earlier. Probably," she nodded and smiled, "but thank you anyway, I think you're handsome."

She shifted and cuddled against Daze, given that he was so warm for some reason, probably because he was a guy, and she sighed and closed her eyes, "now go to sleep~," she whined playfully.

"Damn ri--" he was about to say, before being told to go to sleep.

He missed his chance to boast. Next time.

"Right, right. Sleep is good. Sixth reason for living after all," he mumbled positioning himself so that she could cuddle against him before wrapping his one free arm around her.

Cuddling was new. No. No it wasn't. Once before. Just once. It was hard to remember for him. It wasn't all that long ago. But he was tired, tipsy... and his magic. Was it... Wings? Thoughts for tomorrow. If today's thoughts ever returned.

Kamrun smiled as he agreed with her, putting an arm around her and despite the screaming wind and angry sand, they managed to fall asleep.

~~~
When her eyes opened next, the storm was over, she was in a bed, and Daze was laying next to her. She blinked and looked at him, still sleeping? She mulled over the memories of yesterday, and cursed herself for a multitude of things, silently, so as not to wake the man, and began to try to figure out how to get out of the bed without waking the man up.
Thankfully for Kamrun, Daze was a heavy sleepy. He was also just heavy. Lot of muscle and he was tall. Well. Not Zuus or Soonbas tall, but he was tall. She had this hulking man thing she was entangled in bed with. Getting out would be an exercise itself.
Kamrun lay still for a long while, and she was beginning to feel one of her arms strain from the position. She frowned, and slowly shifted to get it to move, until it stopped being angry at her. Daze still did not awaken. Biting her lower lip, Kamrun slowly continued to move, shifting carefully and pausing every few seconds to look and see if Daze had stirred, continuing this way until she was able to gently set down his arm, free of that appendage, and she sat up.
And now, to figure out how to step over him to get out out of the bed, since the other side was a wall.
The complications of a sleeping Daze in the way. No pokeflute will wake this slumbering titan. Of course, Kamrun could always just try to tickle him now that he was defenseless. Assuming she remembers the tickling challenge from the previous night.
"Bean..." Daze mumbled in his sleep. Obviously dreaming about either the bean counting or Kamrun.
