Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. This is the Place; Daze

Kamrun
The only village in the desert, is what he had told her. After she had helped out at the port, and paid a visit to Bruin who seemed to live there. She headed off out towards the desert on a quest for magic beans, which reminded her of a children's story her mother used to read her. She had no cows to sell, so hopefully her and the white-haired man could strike a deal some other way.

Now normally 'the only village in the desert' would have been just as dangerous as 'go play in traffic' for someone who didn't know the expansive geography of the sandy place, and could easily get lost and die of dehydration. But as it so happened, Kamrun knew where the village was, stumbling upon it in her time of need, having been lost and dehydrated, and paid for water with her healing skill.

Assuming there wasn't another 'only village in the desert,' and that the man had simply been speaking about the only one he knew of, she arrived at the small town by the rocks and looked around. She had assumed he would be immediately visible. However, it wasn't difficult to find white-haired men, asking around is what helped her find Bruin after all. She knew the best place to get information was the bar, so that was where she headed, stepping in and going to the counter. She waved at the barkeep with a friendly smile, "hello, some water please," she asked, certain it wasn't an odd request, "and um, "I'm looking for a man, about this tall, white hair and dark skin?"

Kamrun
Kamrun laughed, still playing keep-away with the jar and batting at hands that got too close to her precious.

"Yes I'm sure," she said, biting her bottom lip smiling as she tapped one of his hand with hers, "you just need to figure out what it is you want in return. No sex though, I'm not paying you with sex," she grinned at him teasingly.

"Pffft. No. I don't pay for Sex. Well... get paid for sex I guess," Daze laughed.

He kept at it, thinking of a neat thing he could do to get the jar and startle her. He came in with his left hand while stretching his right outward. A portal opened up next to Daze, the end of the portal was... right in front of Kamrun's chest, where Daze's hand would come poking out trying to grab the jar.

It would likely be pretty freaky. Unless she's grown numb to Daze's antics.

Kamrun laughed at his strange admission, then looked at his hands as they came out in front of her to try to grab the jar. She laughed and backed up, only to remember that Daze was there any way.

"No fair!" she cried, lifting the jar above her head to keep it away from his hand and disembodied hand. Naturally he was taller than her and it would be no difficult to take the jar from its new position, but she was out of places to run and hide since Daze could be anywhere and two places at once.

"All is fair in love and war," Daze said, not really sure what it meant.

He just remembers hearing it somewhere. Not to mention he felt like it applied. Not that this was love or war. What this was, was a vertically challenged individual getting a jar of beans plucked out from above her head. Well. An attempt at it anyway. Daze wasn't trying all that hard.

He was also distracted by the hand coming out of her chest, reaching upwards which accidentally lightly caressed her neck and face. You don't just accidentally touch someone there at that angle and not notice it. It's different.

"Oops, my bad," Daze laughed, not trying to feel her at weird angles.

Kamrun
Kamrun wiggled to keep the jar out of reach. She sputtered as his hand touched her face, shaking get head back and forth to get it away from her nose and eyes, and she playfully pretended to bite at it, making noises vaguely like a dinosaur.

She had completely forgotten Bruce was present, and it didn't cross her mind how of all of this must look. Especially to anyone else who was possibly in the bar, to wonder it looked odd, and there was no context to go off of.

Poor normal people.

Daze
Thankfully for Kamrun the bar was normally slow in the morning. Only Bruce was up. Last night it was decrepit due to the Sandstorm. While Bruce was used to Daze and his antics... this was a new, more playful side to him he hasn't seen since he was a kid. Minus the hand out of the chest thing. He's never seen Daze do that and it was frankly a tad disturbing.

"Ah. My fingers, don't bite them," Daze teased playfully, trying to distract her with the chest-hand while he attempted at the jar with the free one still.

He was going to have to come up with a new strategy soon. Chest hand wasn't working.

"Rawr fingers," Kamrun growled, still pretending to bite at them while still keeping the jar at an angle to try to keep it from his free hand, which was tipping it very dangerously to one side. Luckily there was a lid on it and the beans did not spill, but it did look very unstable on her fingertips.

"My beeeeeaaans," she hissed in an altered voice, "I am Bean Babe, they are my beeeeaaaans, my preciousssss."

"Yes, but I am Daze. King of the Desert and your beans have tresspassed on my land," Daze said in a fake booming voice. "They have tarnished my name and I demand sacrifice!" he laughed, continuing the false voice up.

She was fun.

Daze needed fun.

"Oh no~ King of the Desert, The Queen of Beans shall off you no sacrifice, save for that of your own left nut!" Kamrun cackled and then calmed instantly, speaking in a false regal but almost normal voice, "And I don't mean your balls I mean that peanut, the one you have there, on the left," Kamrun made a motion like she was indicating to an actual peanut somewhere to Daze's left.

She couldn't see it, but a look of horror dawned on Daze's face from her sacrificial offering. That was, until she clarified. That was about when he got distracted by the mentioning of an actual peanut. He instinctively retracted his arm from the chest portal, turning to face where she directed him... only to see not such nut.

"Hey... there's no..." he muttered, turning to face Kamrun.

Kamrun
Kamrun took full advantage of his distraction, totally not expecting it as that was not the plan, but taking full advantage of it nonetheless. The hand disappeared from her chest and she snatched the jar down, holding it in folded arms and bolted forward, slipping past the bar stools and towards a corner of the room, not a wise choice but her destination was a table, quickly hopping up onto it and holding up the jar.

"Yes, the beans are mine!"

Daze
Daze was disappointed in himself. He fell for a trick. An unfair trick. That's fine. If she was going to use her special technique of being smarter than Daze. Then he was going to do... something. He wasn't quite sure what that was yet, though.

"Alright, two can play this game," Daze smirked, facing Kamrun.

Two fade portals opened up, one on each side of daze. He shoved both arms in them, nearly shoulder deep. Surrounding Kamrun, in almost a dome shape, was eight portals. Each one an arm came out of, all of them reaching for the jar. Sadly, once she made contact with any of the arms that weren't his real arm, it vanished from this reality.

But he had to try.

Kamrun
Kamrun really didn't know what Daze was planning, but she definitely was not expecting multiple arms coming at her at once from several directions. She yellowed out in surprise, hen laughed as she quickly batted at the closest hand, which vanished. She blinked, then tried stepping back away from the other arms, not sure which ones were real or not, and not accounting for the way the table was balanced.

The whole thing began to tip backwards, and Kamrun cursed wide-eyes swinging one arm to try to stop the inevitable, clutching the jar in the other as potential energy turned to kinetic energy and began dragging her down to earth.

Daze
"Oh no..." Daze saw her fall.

He had to do something. She'd get hurt. She wasn't a fighter, she didn't take hits. He learned this already. Time seemed to slow as she began to tip over. He had to get there first. He was fast enough now. He had the wind on his side.

Pulling out of his portals, that he likely should have used instead, he darted as fast as his body could take him to her. The very air parted its way for Daze like he was a jackknife, piercing it's way to his destination. With both forearms extended out, he scooped up Kamrun, turning in the process so that he took the full force of the impact against the wall.

"Oomphf!" he grunted, hitting his head, back and rear all at the same time.

Kamrun
There was no slow motion for Kamrun, it was simply falling, so it all happened really fast between the table tipping and her suddenly being caught. She heard Daze grunt in pain and a cold chill of panic surged through her. Forgetting about the over-turned table Kamrun quickly whipped around, almost dropping the jar of beans.

"Ohmygoshareyouokay!?" she explained, quickly looking him over, forgetting, naturally, his amazing healing ability, she began looking for injuries, "I'm so sorry."

"Yeah, just adrenaline numbin' the pain while my body heals," Daze grunted, still holding onto Kamrun tightly.

His muscles were a bit tense from the experience. He didn't like seeing his friends in danger, so his body kicked into over-drive. He can't stand seeing it. For some reason it triggers something in him, a feeling of panic.

"Are you alright? Not hurt anywhere?" Daze asked.

Kamrun
Kamrun frowned and poked Daze in the chest, not to find a ticklish spot but to accentuate his healing with her own.

He asked if she was okay and she scoffed, "'course I'm okay, you saved me. again."

She put her free hand on her hip, "how am I supposed to repay you if you keep making me owe you?"

"I guess I'm stuck with you then," Daze teased.

His body began to loosen from the healing. She was an impressive healer and there may be a day that Daze really needs her. He may push himself too far, too hard... or do something incredibly dumb.

"Don't worry, this one's on the house," Daze played, poking Kamrun on her cheek.

"Darn," Kamrun sighed shifting to hand Daze his jar of beans, his rightful prize for putting Kamrun in so much debt.

He poked her cheek and she batted at it, "hey!" she laughed, pretending to bite at his finger again.

"Come on, I need to find that bean and owe you even more."

Daze
"Right-O" Daze said with zest, standing up, Kamrun in his arms as if she were about to be carried over a threshold. When they stood up, the jar fell.

Into a portal.

Gently onto the bar.

Mostly to panic her for no reason.

"Here you go," Daze said, sitting her in the chair she was in last night. "Let's get started then."
