Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. Roots
To say things were a little tense might have been an understatement. On the top of Roots' head, he had the Saiyans, Mercenary Tao, Tao's students, Sin, Astraea, and Angelina as not only problems that represented a threat to the world but personally Roots and Angeles.

Things were a little tense. It was an understatement. And things had happened so quickly, too. As far as Roots knew, noone else knew about Angelina-not yet, anyway, and Roots honestly wanted to keep it that way.

He was sitting downstairs at the bar, a can of beer in his hand. He spoke.

"Hey, Bruce, you seen Angeles?"

"She's around, I'm sure. She's never too far from you, you smell too bad to lose track of,"

Roots frowned. Did he really? He took another drink of his beer.

Master Roshi
Master Roshi sat on the couch and patted twice next to him, trying to get the Angel to sit next to him. He let out a low laugh either way and responded to their question.

"They're out in the submarine, they come by every once in awhile. My question for you two, though-why are you here? Did Korin send you? Ehhhh?"

Angeles obliged the old man and sat next to him, smiling at Roots. Roshi explained where they were, then questioned them accusingly and Angeles held up a hand to calm him, "no, no, Master Korin did not send us here," she explained gently.

"We're here because... well we need to find your sister," she frowned slightly, "we need help...."

When his lover sat next to Roshi, he had to smirk. She certainly knew how to play to her strengths. The paranoid hermit asked if Korin had sent him (Roots had to wonder what that was about) but Angeles quickly spoke and calmed him.

She didn't explain the entire problem, but she certainly let him know that the person they needed was his sister. Roots could only nod and hope for a decent answer from Roshi, giving Angeles a grin.

Master Roshi
"Oh, good, good. That old cat ain't gettin' it from me, it's mine!" The man reached forward and grabbed his beer on the table, still cold. He turned the television on, which began playing some old workout video.

"You need Baba?" He turned, looking at the Angel. His demeanor had changed.

"Why would the two of you need Baba? What's going on?"

Angeles
Angeles sighed and looked at her hands a bit, "we're being hunted by an angel, I'm... not entirely certain why, but I can guess given what she screamed at me during our fight. But we need to know if this is on orders from... her creator or if this is her acting alone."

She looked back up at master Roshi, "it would be better if she was acting alone, we can handle that, but if its my... her kai's orders, then the problem won't be resolved with just dealing with her.

"I can't go back into otherworld to find out, so, we need Baba's help to know what we're up against."

She looked concerned, and she was, recalling Roots laying on the floor bleeding from a hole in his chest.

Roshi's mood changed and Roots shifted. The severity of the situation had been lost on him in the last few days, getting to basically sit in Bruce's bar and make love to his woman, but now that they were addressing the problem...?

He felt his chest where the sword had penetrated him, glancing over at the door. Angeles explained it well, and it definitely came better from her. He decided he should let her do most of the talking.

"She's powerful, Master Roshi,"

"Hmmmm...." The old hermit cooed, rubbing his chin. He adjusted his sunglasses a moment.

"If she's related to this one, I believe it, Roots. This certainly sounds like quite the pickle," He took another drink.

"Unfortunately, Baba is not here right now, and that's not an excuse to get you here to stay longer. Let me see if I can get in touch with her..." He stood up and walked out of the room, and began rustling in a closet.

"Just gimme a sec, gotta find the ol' ball,"

Angeles didn't know what Roshi meant by 'related to her' being prove that Angelina was strong. Roots was vastly stronger than her. But Roshi would help them, and that made her smile, "sure it's not," she teased the old man when he said he wasn't trying to make them stay longer.

She watched him go to find the thing that would allow him to contact Baba, and Angeles smiled at Roots.

"Do you need help?" she eventually called to him in the other room.

Find the ball? What?

He glanced over Angeles when she asked if the old man needed help but did not say anything. The music that flowed through the room from a radio on the other side made the Saiyan question where it was receiving a signal from. Central? Had to be. Wasn't a radio station that hosted itself out of Haven or Terminus as far as Roots knew,

"No, no, I'm not that old," It was a few more moments of rumbling and then an 'Ah-ha!' And with that, the old Turtle Hermit walked into the room with an old ball. He sat down (next to Angeles, of course) and sat the ball on the table.

"Alrighty, just gotta figure out how the old thing works...ehhh, Baba said you have to..." He began rubbing it with his palms, cleaning the dusty orb.

Angeles caught Roots' confused glance and smiled at him to know it would be alright. Soon Roshi returned and sat next to her, she shifting to allow him room.

She laced her fingers together and rested her elbows on her knees, watching as Master Roshi began to clean it and try to remember how to work it. Angeles gave her lover another confident smile, she was not concerned that this would go anyway but well.

Roots returned Angeles' smile with one of his own and turned his gaze back to Master Roshi, who certainly was giving that old orb quite the rubbing. The old man was actually starting to sweat softly, Roots could (unfortunately) both see and smell this fact.

He shifted, comfortably. Angeles' confidence did well for his own.

Master Roshi
"Eh...eh...this old thing is such a bother," He glanced up at Roots.

"You're lucky your lady friend is pretty, eh-hehe!" He rubbed for a few more moments at the orb with the sleeve of his jacket and then sat back.

"That oughta do it...Baba! Baba, you in there? I need ya back at Kame House!" What happened next should have been expected, but...

A fade portal opened right behind Roshi and through it, the fortuneteller floated through. Roshi grumbled for a moment, grabbing the ball and pulling it off the table.

"What do you need, ya snot?" The Turtle Hermit kept a serious demeanor.

"These two need your help," He motioned at Angeles and Roots.

"Go on. Tell her,"

Angeles
Sure enough, after much rubbing, and much joking, the witch Baba appeared and demanded what her brother wanted. The man snatched his orb protectively and told them to deal with his sister. Angeles nodded and stood.

"Baba," she said with an inclination of her head, then straightened up, "my name's Angeles, I'm an angel from Other World, under the supreme kai," she sighed, "or I used to be.

You see, Roots and I," she looked at the saiyan, "we've been attacked by an angel, who nearly killed him, we managed to escape, but we're in a dilemma.

We aren't sure if the attack was ordered by the supreme kai, for what I've become and the decisions I've made with my new-found free will, or if this angel is acting on her own. I was hoping, you could maybe give us some insight, so that we know what to expect, if it's something we can handle or if it's something we'll have to look over our shoulders for, for the rest of our lives?"

Her brow bent, "please Baba."

Roots
It still kind of surprised him when he had no idea it was going to happen, and just like that, the old and wrinkled fortuneteller popped out of a fade portal. The Saiyan was glad Angeles had decided to take point on this because he wouldn't have expressed their problem nearly as well as Angeles had done.

When the Angel finished her plea, the Saiyan nodded, and added one thing.

"We really need your help,"

The hermit walked out of the center room as Angeles explained what was going on, and returned with another beer as Roots ended the plea with a very simple expression. His sister, the fortuneteller, rubbed her chin for a moment and let out a Hmmmm before she pulled her hands away from her face and said one word.

"Okay," The woman floated down a few feet so that both Angeles and Roots could see the orb. She was silent for a moment again, and then spoke.

"Tell me about this Angel and the Supreme Kai. Everything you can tell me about what happened before, after, and during the attack will help,"

Angeles
Angeles inhaled and looked at the ball as Baba began to work her magic, "the angel is my sister, created from the same kai, an angel of chastity like myself, younger but a soldier. Her name is Angelina, she was on earth recently to lead a group of people of the mortal realm to the demon realm to make a truce and prevent war, she had been tormented by the demon lord of lust asmodeus, that was the last I saw of her before the attack.

My kai...," she frowned, "he's the supreme kai of the north, but he's also the only supreme kai left after the great majun buu attacked and killed them all. He's short, a bit distant, and had been pretending to be the grand supreme kai to give my sister orders after her kai died. He's difficult to describe, he's very old, and not very kind."

Angeles took a breath and sighed, "when Angelina attacked us," she frowned sheepishly and looked at Roshi, and blushed slightly, "it was right after Roots and I...," she cleared her throat, "after we made love," she said quickly and coughed hoping that that information wasn't really relevant and hat Roshi didn't hear it well enough to get all of it, "she stabbed Roots through the chest and I attacked her in response, getting her far enough away from the house that I could get us to safety.

After that we went somewhere we figured we wouldn't be found, we've been there a few days before we felt safe enough to come here to ask help."

She finished and sighed, still blushing slightly, her hands at her sides as she felt very uncomfortable talking openly about her sexual relationship with Roots.

"I think she attacked," she began again, trying to calm herself down, "because several months ago a wizard forced demonic magic into me and made me half demon half...," she looked down in shame slightly, "succubus. It would be her duty to destroy me, but given my part in the truce made between King Furry and the demon lords, the attack may have been ordered by the supreme kai. If it's just her, we can deal with her, if it's him... we'll never be safe."

Her voice was quiet by the time she was finished and she folded her arms, hiding her face in one hand with her eyes closed.

Roots
The Saiyan leaned back as Angeles began to speak, and Baba began to listen. The accounts of the trip to the demon realm fell in line with everything Roots remembered. Angeles had told him some things of her Kai and while some of the information was new, some of it was old to him as well.

It wasn't for him, though.

She found some sort of roadblock in her speech when she got to actual details of the attack. Roots understood and was actually a little red-faced himself but grateful that Angeles was the one talking and not him. He rubbed at the spot where the blade had gone clean through-another scar of many.

The last part of what Angeles had to say was what worries him, as it was all true. There were a million reasons why Angelina could have wanted the two of them dead and they still knew nothing.

If Angeles looked his way he would give her a smile and do his best to send strength. She must have been a little too embarassed.

Baba was quiet, only looking into her ball as Angeles spoke, swiping at it, moving the image, over and over and over again. Her younger brother was not as silent and actually let out a low but very audible chuckle during Angeles' story, likely only making any embarrassment worse. He did not say anything, however.

When the Fallen finished, Baba swiveled with her crystal ball for only a moment longer and then looked up at the both of them.

"Well, I've good news and bad news,". She started.

"The good news is that Angelina is in fact working alone. What exactly the two of you did to make her mad I can't be sure, but she is an Angel of Chastity. Maybe she takes some offense personally? She is your sister..." A sour look came across her face.

"Don't get too happy yet, there is bad news. She's more than twice the Angel she was when you met her at the wall. That's the bad news,"

Roshi chuckled and Angeles thinned her lips, thoroughly embarrassed, but Baba kept working, images flashing through her crystal ball until she finally came up with an answer and Angeles perked up.

Good news, Angelina was working independently, bad news, she was stronger, somehow. Angeles's parted lips closed as she thought. She looked back to Roots, moving her hand in asking for his, "that's okay," she said quietly, "she's twice the angel but there's two of us, if it's just her, we can do this."
