Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. We love new members and are a very welcoming bunch of people.

The Right Turn; Daze and Whoever else Daze Wants

Jack Trader
To say that the village was difficult to find was an understatement and to say that it had taken a miracle for jack to stumble upon it the first time he visited would have been the truth of the matter. Fortunately, and after much circling around, he managed to pick up on Daze's rather unique energy signature and followed it to the source, his home, his domain, and the capitol of the self-proclaimed King of the Desert. It was quite possibly the most bizarre life force Jack had ever detected...not that, that was saying anything considering that he had only been able to sense energy from living creatures for a number of weeks (A couple months at most up to that point in time).

He stepped past the unmarked village border and headed directly toward the bar where he felt certain he would find the drunk. He opened the door and allowed himself inside. He wiped his shoes off on the mat beyond the door to try and lift some sand off it, but he only ended up collecting more sand onto his shoes from the mat itself.

He looked ahead and noticed that the floor seemed relatively clean; so, he removed his shoes and set them outside. Rather than proceed barefoot, however, Jack merely manifested clean footwear around his feet then walked further into the bar.

He seated himself at the counter and waited to be served. During his wait, he looked around for his friend. Jack had definitely made a habit of dropping in on his friends rather frequently (something to which Roots could definitely testify). He hoped to find Daze somewhere nearby; otherwise, he would simply enjoy a couple drinks and then search elsewhere for the strange sorcerer.

Jack shook his head; he hadn't come here to bring all this baggage with him, he just wanted to have some drinks with his friend. Then they just ended up talking about things that were touchy subjects for him and Jack, being who he was, just wanted to set things straight between them.

"Hey, you've still got me and Roots, Angeles, Machi, and a bunch of others, right?" He said. "Why not go visit one of them. I'm sure they'll do a better job of keeping you company than I can. I'll even pick up whatever it is you owe, okay? Drinks are on me today."

Daze
"Nah, it's good... I'm just tired... too much lately, making the world sour," Daze sighed, walking off towards the stairs where is room was.

Maybe Jack was right. Maybe he needed to go out again. He had just gotten back from being with people already. Was it too soon to go out again? Maybe he just needed sleep. Yeah. Sleep was one of his reasons for living now anyway. So he might as well do that.

"Alright, peace," Jack spoke slowly and waved a farewell to him.

He stood up and helped clean up after Daze, standing the chair he had knocked over back in its proper position. He then stared at the empty space that had once occupied the Desert King and scratched the back of his head. He then sat down to his own drink and sighed a bit, not even certain if he wanted to finish the half glass worth of beer left in the pitcher.

Who was he kidding? He could use the drink and use it he did. Both pitcher and glass were empty and he felt a little better after that. "Damn it," He cursed; it wasn't something he often did. "This was supposed to be a fun time."
