Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. Angeles
It did not take her long to feel it. She had been in bed, no clothes, but no Roots either, just enjoying sleeping and hugging a pillow to her chest. But her peaceful sleep had been disturbed, she twitched and her skin itched. It invaded her dreams. Then her eyes fluttered open.

Something was off, like a bad scent on the wind. She lifted her head and looked at the window, confusion on her face. She slipped off the bed and walked over, pulling up the blinds. Her body was bathed in golden light, and there was nothing outside to greet her save the expansive desert.

Despite there being no obvious threat, goosebumps began to crawl down her skin.

Then her eyes widened.

Scrambling she threw on her armor, the material nearly adhearing to her skin from the neck down to her ankles, she attached the piece that was the second part of the armor in it's inactive state. The rest of her clothesm her coat, her boots and her gloves, materialized from a bright glow as she thrust her hand out and made a fade portal.

Kiryu was in sword form the moment she stepped through the fade and she could sense Sin everywhere, but couldn't see him, not at first anyway. It took her only a moment to realize that the walls that ere there did not belong. And her sword slowly began to lower as her eyes turned black from the sheer lust she could feel all over, but other than her breath shaking she remained composed, and her eyes fell on Daze, asleep and half naked.

Angeles walked over to him, her hand reaching for him and paused. More slowly, her fingers gently touched and then moved through his hair, just once, before gripping his shoulder and shaking him firmly.

"Daze wake up," she said in a low tone, "Daze!"

Angeles closed her eyes and kept her head bowed as Daze moved to grab her coat for her. She heard him shift against the carpet, heard his steps approach the bed, and as she felt him move away, her brow furrowed, her jaw clenched tight, and her nails bit into the palms of her hands. There was a moment of silence, then Daze was behind her, wrapping his arms around her and her wings clamped tight to allow this reflexively.

A sharp gasp left her lips, her hand moved towards her arms, at first reaching to remove them, as his touch was sending waves of electricity through her body, but instead they rested on his arms, then moved along them, holding them against her, as he whispered in her ear.

She wanted to say something, about Daze's terrible definition of what a 'best friend' was supposed to be, but the sorrow in his voice. She tightly closed her eyes and gnashed her teeth, biting against a sob and the urge to force him to the ground again.

"You have your own burdens Daze," she spoke, quiet and strained, "something you already struggle with," her hands tightened their hold on his arms, above where the orbs rested, "you don't deserve to deal with mine as well."

Daze
"Screw what I deserve. I can't just watch you suffer, watch you carry it alone. Even if I have to live forever to help you shoulder your woes, I will. I don't care if it takes until the end of time. You deserve that. You deserve to be happy and have what you want in life," Daze sighed, holding her tight without trying to cause discomfort.

He was emotional.

Rightfully so.

He couldn't stand seeing his friends suffer. Quick to sacrifice himself and his happiness for theirs. The only thing that mattered was his mates. Even if his definition of the word friend was strange. After all his criteria to be one of his mates was to participate in his reasons for living with him. Angeles has done every single one of them. Some more than once.

Daze held on tightly, telling her about what she deserved and she gnashed her teeth and tightly shut her eyes, a single sob wracking her body. Her hands stayed where they were, position to remove his arms but holding them against her.

"I don't deserve...," she said after a moment of silence, her voice barely above a breath, "I tried to take you to a demon lord like some kind of offering. I betrayed your trust--," she choked on her words, her body shifting, curling a bit more into a ball as her hold on him became something a bit more desperate. She "and I just told you I want you and that you can never have me. Those aren't things a friend does Daze, certainly not someone deserving of your friendship in return."

Her head almost touched her knees, "or what I want in life."

"Fuck the rules. We can do whatever we want, nothin' in this world defines me but me. We can be the best of mates and what want what we want. There's no force of nature or man that can tell us otherwise," Daze objected, changing his position so he more sitting behind her than leaning on her. "You didn't betray me. I'm just an idiot who doesn't understand shit," Daze tried to attest.

He moved his legs around hers and tightened his hold on her while leaning his head beside hers. He didn't want to let her go. He felt like if he did, the world might end. At this moment in time, nothing else mattered but Angeles. She was his friend and his friends did not deserve to suffer. Even if his definition of the word friend is a bit on the misconstrued side.

Just a bit.

Daze countered her again, moving so that he was holding her with his arms and his legs, like she was going to slip away. It did effectively make it so that she couldn't leave, if she faded now, Daze would go with her. but it was difficult to think about leaving with every part of his body touching her, sending the sensation of pleasurable electricity rippling through her, and she had to suppress a moan, her head tipping back, her eyes closed and her cheek wet with tears, pressed against his.

There was nothing she could say to change his mind, nothing she could do to make him let go, even with all the evidence present in front of him he wouldn't accept it. He was resolved to be her friend no matter what. That kind of loyalty... she didn't deserve it.

"I'm sorry," she whispered simply, having nothing else she could say.

"Don't be. You have nothing to be sorry for," Daze smiled, affirming his statement by giving her a loving squeeze before letting her go, if she allowed it.

If she did, he'd stand up, offering her his hand to help her up. He didn't like seeing his friends so downtrodden by their own feelings. He had to do what he could to help. Everything he could do. Even if that meant putting them before himself. He wasn't sure what lines should and shouldn't be crossed. He knew there were some and maybe his odd relationship with Angeles would make things weird for Roots.

But... he could only care so much about that when she was hurting so bad in front of him. He had to do whatever he could. It was his duty as her mate.

"Come on, let's find something to do... have you ever tried bacon before?" Daze tempted, trying to cheer Angeles up with the most savory thing the human race has to offer.

Of course, his attempts were poor. He's not a smart man and only knows a few ways to liven the situation. Most of those involved loud music, drinking and foreplay.

Daze told her not to be, something she expected, and he squeezed her and let her go, there was some hesitation in her grip on his wrists, but she forced herself to loosen so that he could stand, and for the first time since her break-down started, she felt like she could breathe. She shifted, remaining sitting and resting her arms on her knees, catching her breath.

Daze then offered a distraction, one that she didn't necessarily need as she didn't need to eat, but he was trying, and she was not going to blow him off. He offered a hand to help her up and she hesitated to take it, knowing that doing so would cause the same feeling she was now actively fighting. But she needed to overcome this, rather than avoid it, and she took his hand and stood.

"I've had bacon," she affirmed and attempted a smile, "I'll have some," she agreed quietly.

"Right, Bruce makes a killer breakfast," Daze said with a grin, nodding his head towards his door. He wasn't even sure if it was morning or not. "Besides, it's probably been a while since you've just sat down and relaxed. Too tense, let's get you feelin' great," Daze jested, leading the way out the door.

The hallway and rest of the building would probably make life easier on Angeles. Daze's room was a bit of a... Lust filled area filled with the memories and experiences of everyone who's been there. Which were mostly not going to help her current state of mind.

Not to mention Bruce was a calm and rational guy. He'd definitely have some wisdom to throw down for her. Better than Daze could.

"Oi, Bruce!" Daze shouted. "Can you cook up some breakfast for two, bacon and stuff?" Daze asked, trying to be polite while walking down the stairs.

"Yup, comin' right up," Bruce chimed.

Angeles smiled and followed Daze out of his room, feeling a little better by just not being there. Down the hall, then down the stairs and to Bruce. She felt guilty seeing Bruce, even though she had just talked to him a few minutes ago. She was suddenly aware she still didn't have her coat and touched her shoulders, then turned to head back up the stairs to grab it, touching the hand railing and pausing.

If she went up to get her coat, she would just leave, that wouldn't be fair to Daze, who was trying to make things better. She thinned her lips and stepped away from the stairs, her hand slipping from the railing and moved to sit by Daze on the bar, moving her hair to cover some of her almost entirely exposed torso.

She crossed her arms on the bar and sighed, trying to calm her emotions before Bruce said anything.

Daze took a seat next to Angeles, noticing she took extra precautions to cover herself a bit. She was being very hesitant with every move. As if each breath was a conscious decision she had to weigh the consequences for. Daze felt bad. He could tell she felt exposed. So he did what any good friend would do.

He faded his arms to his room and grabbed his pilot's jacket and placed it over her shoulders.

He didn't even say anything either.

"Eggs and Bacon up!" Bruce chimed, cooking rather fast. Albeit it didn't take long to make, sliding the two plates to Angeles and Daze.

Daze came and sat next to her and she wanted to look at him, smile and show she was going to be okay but she felt so sick inside. She felt something warm come to her shoulders and her wings reflexively folded and laid flat on her back. She reached over and touched the jacket, then pulled it tighter around her. with her wings hidden like that, she almost looked normal.

"Thank you Daze," she said quietly.

Bruce was quick and soon a plate of food was in front of her. Looking at it, she did manage a small smile and pinched at one of the slices of bacon and nibbled one of the edges. It was different from Roots' maybe cooked in a different oil? She wasn't sure, but that was her guess.

"It's good," she said, coughing as her voice was a bit hoarse from crying, "thanks Bruce."

She nibbled again, paused, then looked to Daze again through her hair, "thank you Daze," she said again.

"Hey, it's what mates are for, right?" Daze said with a wink, taking a big bite of the eggs before him.

Just as he was about to chime up for something to drink, Bruce slid two glassess with milk in them forward. Daze gave Bruce a funny look followed with a smile. His mouth was full, so he didn't need to talk anyway. Likely Bruce's way of breaking bad manners. Can't be poor in persona if never given the chance to do so.

"Miss Angeles, is there anything I can do for you?" Bruce chimed, cleaning a glass with a cloth while asking her.

Daze winked at her after accepting her thanks and getting down into eating. She nibbled while he scarfed. She heard Bruce's voice and looked up at the older man. He asked if she needed anything from him. She looked at the glass of milk in front of her and stared at it for a bit.

"This is good," she said, taking up the glass and taking a sip, "thank you Bruce."

Milk had become her favorite drink ever since she had started consuming food. Even more so than alcohol, but it was rare and expensive, what with the lack of cows and farmland. Having a full glass of it was nice.

One of the people in town had a couple cows. It was where they got their milk from. Needless to say his cows were his bread and butter for living in the town. Trading milk and cheese for all sorts of things. Another living here was a carpenter, traded his skills in building for the people of the town. Each individual living here had a skillset or goods of some kind. They mostly traded with each other and on occasion Central City.

Although lately Terminus has been getting involved in some of the trade. Offering questionably cheap prices.

"Yeah, thanks. You're awesome," Daze chimed in.

"Nice to hear your friends remind you of your manners," Bruce said coyly to Daze. "And Miss Angeles, you are welcome. If you need anything else, let me know," Bruce added.

Angeles smirked, unbeknownst to the man, probably a good thing given his opinion on magic and other such things, Angeles was gathering a bit of information on the going ons in the village. Given Daze likely knew nothing. Taking another drink of milk.

"You are awesome," Angeles agreed and looked up at Bruce. Trade with Terminus... for cheap prices. Undermining the economy to other cities like Haven and Central. Sin.

"I'm mostly interested in what I can help you with Bruce," she told him again nibbling on her bacon, "but I fixed Daze's room, you won't be having any structural damage due to the weight of the walls anymore," she was beginning to feel better, focusing again on other people's problems rather than her own.

"I appreciate that greatly, Miss Angeles," Bruce smiled, taking the empty plate Daze left away from him and taking it to the kitchen. "I don't need much. Simple man, simple life. Only thing I could use help with is keeping this dumb kid out of trouble," Bruce laughed, pointing at Daze with his thumb.

It's not much of a wonder where Daze gets his gestures from.

"Hey, I'm not that dumb," Daze protested.

"Oh yeah? You wouldn't be sneaking around so many girls and expect to get away with it if you weren't," Bruce accused.

"I... I'm not sneakin' no one around anywhere," Daze pouted.

Angeles chuckled at the banter between the two, finishing one bacon and moving on to eating the eggs that she had been neglecting.

"How many women exactly?" Angeles asked with a small amount of teasing, glancing at Daze as she ate a bite.

"Daze is a bit too free for even me to handle Bruce, but I'll try," she said, still teasing slightly.

"Let's see. There's you," Bruce paused, looking at her with an over the glassess look despite not wearing any. "Miss Goemon, Miss Kamrun, Miss Cassi, The girl with the short skirt who Daze refers to as Legs, that one Saiyan Girl I never got the name of, The Fairy I don't recall the name of and of course, Machi," Bruce nodded, thinking he got the list complete.

"and those are just the ones who have bothered acknowledging me or I can remember," Bruce sighed, shaking his head.

"Hey... it's not that many, you're making it out to be bigger than it is," Daze rebutted.

"Me," Angeles sighed as Bruce began his list, really hoping that she wasn't just 'that girl Daze slept with' in the man's mind. He listed a couple other names, "Ran," she informed him as to the actual identity of 'Legs,' "I met her," and Bruce concluded his list with two people he only knew the species of.

"Another saiyan and a fairy," Angeles sighed then smirked, looking at Daze, "sounds like you just need an Arcosian, an Anthro and a Hera to complete your list," she teased.

"Wait... you don't count as an Antro?" Daze winked, nodding towards her wings. "I figured that'd be one of those close enough deals," Daze laughed, drinking his milk.

Which would likely be one of the only non-alcoholic drinks he will have today if not the only.

"Not sure what the other two are, though," Daze admitted.

"Yeah, you got me on those as well," Bruce shook his head. "I remember when this planet was so much simpler," Bruce sighed, thinking about the good ole days.
