Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. We love new members and are a very welcoming bunch of people.

The Room; Daze

Angeles
It did not take her long to feel it. She had been in bed, no clothes, but no Roots either, just enjoying sleeping and hugging a pillow to her chest. But her peaceful sleep had been disturbed, she twitched and her skin itched. It invaded her dreams. Then her eyes fluttered open.

Something was off, like a bad scent on the wind. She lifted her head and looked at the window, confusion on her face. She slipped off the bed and walked over, pulling up the blinds. Her body was bathed in golden light, and there was nothing outside to greet her save the expansive desert.

Despite there being no obvious threat, goosebumps began to crawl down her skin.

Then her eyes widened.

Scrambling she threw on her armor, the material nearly adhearing to her skin from the neck down to her ankles, she attached the piece that was the second part of the armor in it's inactive state. The rest of her clothesm her coat, her boots and her gloves, materialized from a bright glow as she thrust her hand out and made a fade portal.

Kiryu was in sword form the moment she stepped through the fade and she could sense Sin everywhere, but couldn't see him, not at first anyway. It took her only a moment to realize that the walls that ere there did not belong. And her sword slowly began to lower as her eyes turned black from the sheer lust she could feel all over, but other than her breath shaking she remained composed, and her eyes fell on Daze, asleep and half naked.

Angeles walked over to him, her hand reaching for him and paused. More slowly, her fingers gently touched and then moved through his hair, just once, before gripping his shoulder and shaking him firmly.

"Daze wake up," she said in a low tone, "Daze!"

"No I don't count as an anthro," she chuckled quietly and shook her head, moving to her second slice of bacon, "arcosian is the alien you fought in the tournament before our match Daze. Hera is the alien that called himself Green Arrow. Both aliens basically."

Angeles looked at Bruce as he commented on the world being simpler and she chuckled, "it was never simple," she said quietly.

Daze
"Hrm.... I don't... we went to... Alien?" Daze questioned, thinking back to the tournament. It was especially fuzzy. He had gone in and out of Zen mode that day, crossed dimensions twice and traversed half the world.

It was a long day for him.

"In my day it was. No aliens, demons or monsters to speak of. At least none that interacted with the common folk," Bruce explained, living in the old times in his head.

Angeles chuckled and looked at Bruce, "in your day there were aliens and demons and monsters, but you are right, they tended to leave people alone, I was a part of the reason demons did anyway. But King Piccolo, Piccolo Jr. they were namekians, aliens, and they had a great deal to do with earthlings, one wanted to enslave everyone, the other helped save the world, and died trying to save it a second time. A namekian also watch over the planet up until that time, but he's also gone, sadly."

Angeles paused to reach up and adjust the pilot jacket, even feeling better, she still felt too exposed, and the jacket was warm.

Daze
Daze tuned out a bit during all of that. It was a history lesson and history was boring. So very boring. It involved a bunch of old or dead people. He'd rather learn the old fashioned way. Experience it. Mostly because it was the best excuse he could come up with to avoid the subject. Bruce however nodded.

"Yes, I remember the Evil King Piccolo. I was thankfully not in that city at the time... still, it seems things are more frequent now compared to then," Bruce admitted.

"They are," Angeles agreed, sounding as old as Bruce as she sighed and herself remembered the 'back then' of things. But she caught a glimpse of Daze zoning out, had the temptation to do a few horrible things to him while he wasn't paying attention. Angeles reached down and lifted her last strip of bacon from the plate and slowly brought it under Daze's nose, almost pretending to use it as a smelling salt.

"Daze," she called softly, as if he was sleeping, "bacon."

She didn't mind losing the bacon if he just up and ate it, she didn't actually need to eat it.

Daze
Daze was completely out of it. His imagination had begun to run wild. Images of an evil Demon/Namekian hybrid flooded his mind and he was in an epic battle fighting him. It was incredibly unrealistic because Daze was in giant massive armor that was exaggerated in every manner. Not to mention he had a codpiece that was just... awkward. He had obviously read too many comic books.

Daze had just toppled the evil Namekian-Demon-thing when being brought back ton reality.

"Huh... what...?" Daze asked, looking over at Angeles like a deer caught in headlights.

Angeles, if she tried, could have seen all of that with her psychic mind fucking.

Angeles
Angeles blinked as images of a vision went through her head and she ended up frozen, staring at Daze with a piece of bacon just held under his nose. After a moment she sputtered and began to chuckle.

"Just eat the bacon Daze," she said and shook her head, rolling her eyes a bit. She would not say out loud what he was thinking, both because it was silly and disrespectful.

Daze
If two words were to accurately explain Daze. It would be silly and disrespectful. How he managed to have as many good friends as he has was a wonder. He couldn't explain it. He always acted an ass in front of everyone yet somehow became good mates with so many fantastic people. They deserved better and he deserved far less.

"Aight, I can't deny you holding a dinner up to my face... I mean breakfast. Wait. What time of day is it?" Daze asked, curious if they were eating breakfast for dinner or not.

He shrugged it off, leaning it to take the bite.

Angeles smirked and shook her head, "noon time, maybe a little after," she answered for him, "regardless it is breakfast. A breakfast that was delicious by the way, thank you Bruce," she said glancing and smiling at the man as Daze leaned in to eat the bacon. She'd hold it until he had enough of it in his mouth to eat on his own and then turned back again and went back to working on her eggs.

Angeles glanced at Daze as she took another bite, swallowed and then asked him, "so, since it's only the middle of the day and the... mess from upstairs is over. What are you going to do for the rest of the day?"

Daze
"You know me. I'll do whatever or whoever pops up," Daze teased, laughing at the question she already knows the answer to. "I mean," he paused, realizing she was whoever popped up. "I'll see what happens. React to that. Make a day of it," he corrected, trying to not make it seem he had ambitions of bedding her.

Again.

For today.

...

"Yeah, good food Bruce," Daze said, changing the topic.

"Aaaaand that's my que to go," she said, smirking and slipping off her stool, "I've ruined enough things today."

Angeles rolled the coat off her shoulders out of habit, which didn't work because it wasn't put on like her coat was and she had to fuss with it to get it off her wings.

"You take that," she said, setting the jacket on his shoulders, "and that," she said moving the mostly finished plate of eggs over to Daze to finish.

"Thank you Bruce it was nice seeing you again. I'm going upstairs to grab my coat and I'm going home. Daze you know where that is if you need me."

Angeles sounded calm, yet urgent at the same time as she went over everything, and she flashed Daze a smiled before turning and heading up the stairs to do exactly as she said she was going to do. She knew this was not going to be the last time she saw Daze. She hoped he would forget this day by the time she saw him again.

Daze
"Ah. Daze. You are a master wordsmith," Bruce mocked.

"Yeah, yeah... I know..." Daze sighed, faceplanting into the table.

"She's spoken for, isn't she?" Bruce inquired. Picking up on the hints dropped from their body language and dialogue.

"Basically, yeah," Daze admitted, eyeing Angeles as she went up the stairs.

"Good, then you don't need to get involved. Not your place. Her choice, her life. Don't push anything or pressure her," Bruce chimed.

"I know, I know. Don't need a lecture old man," Daze sighed in an aggrivated tone.
