Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. We love new members and are a very welcoming bunch of people.

Even if You Forget; Daze

Kamrun
It had taken a while, a long while, of continuously bugging Bruce, teasingly and persistently, until the older man finally gave in, and let her help with some chores. She insisted it wasn't repayment for all the times he didn't let her pay for drinks or food or the occasional room when she needed it, but it really was. Everyone in this village pulled their weight one way or another, the least she could do was clean some dishes and sweep he floors.

She had, of course, come to visit Daze, but Bruce said he hadn't seen him in at least a couple days. It seemed Kamrun had some tough luck trying to catch Daze while he was home, but she figured he was off living one of his six reasons somewhere and would be back eventually. This time she was planning on staying a while, at least until he was back, which would mean she would need a room, and food, and drink.

Hence why she was cleaning the dishes.

Her chores were accompanied by singing, turned out a few songs she had learned from her father, Bruce also knew, she could tell because he would smile nostalgically, sometimes hum along or sing under his breath.

The sun had set a bit ago, long enough ago that only the horizon was still a light shade of grey, and the warm glow of electric lights lit the empty bar.

Kamrun was just finishing the dishes, her jacket tied around her waist and her arms wet nearly to the straps of her tanktop, and she was drying them and passing them to Bruce who put them away, and she kept track of what went where so that next time she could do that part herself too.

That was when they heard something outside, and Kamrun's light-green wings fluttered as she looked at the door curiously. Could it be Daze? She didn't think he'd be the one to walk up to a door, she was expecting him to fade in to his room and probably pass out, and then she'd find him the next morning. But someone was definitely walking up to the door.

"I'll go see," she said with a smile, drying off her arms and jogging to the door.

"Hey!" Bruce called after her, frustrated with her recklessness, just running up to see who would be outside after hours, often angry drunks demanding more booze after last call would throw empty bottles at the door. She would fair far less better than his door.

Still she happily opened the door, yellow light pouring out onto the dirt road, and peered outside, grinning when she saw familiar white hair.

"Daze!" she cried happily and ran out, the door swinging shut behind her, and though the electric lights still colored squares of ground on the road, the world was plunged in a light silver of the sliver crescent moon.

She didn't have far to jog, before slowly coming to a stop, still some feet from the figure she had seen approaching. Her jovial smiled slowly faded, and her brow bent as he eyes stared at the man in the darkness, and her voice questioned out, worried, "Daze?"

The man in front of her, unique dark skin, familiar golden eyes, and unmistakable white hair, did not seem like Daze at all.

Something was very wrong.

Daze said he forgot and Kamrun smiled, nodding, believing it was true. He held the door for her and she got in, got settled, and almost put the seat-belt on but realized with a smirk at herself she didn't need it while the car was stationary. Daze portal-ed in next to her, then moved in closer.

"Very excited," she answered, scrunching her nose as she stole a popcorn and ate it, just one, before offering some of the drink to him.

She glanced past him and hummed at a speakerphone that was by his window and nodded at it's direction, "what's that for?" she asked, it had to serve some kind of purpose, otherwise why put it there.

While he was looking, if he looked back, she would steal another popcorn and pop it into her mouth, grinning like she was getting away with it.

Daze
"I... have no clue," Daze admitted, looking over at the things she pointed out.

Technology was never his forte. He could drive a car and operate his boom box. But that was really the extent of his technological abilities. If it wasn't for interfaces designed specifically for the technologically inept, he'd never even be able to do those things.

"Think you, um," Daze pointed out towards Kamrun's window the get her attention. "Dropped a piece of popcorn behind your ear," he said, using fade magic to pull a piece of popcorn out from behind Kamrun's ear... with actual magic.

Sort of feels like cheating to use actual magic instead of sleight of hand.

Kamrun
Kamrun looked at the thing curiously, but was easily distracted when Daze pointed out the window and she looked, then when he spoke, she looked back at him, then the popcorn and she grinned.

"How clumsy of me," she joked, then leaned and ate the popcorn right from his fingers. Jet eyes laughed as she chuckled then nodded and looked at the bag.

It's very good, you should try some, here, hold this and have some," she offered him the bag. She then tried to manager herself around him, crawling over his lap, trying to not crawl on him, and ended up in an awkward kneeling/laying position across his lap add she rolled down the window.

"Let's see if can figure this thing out," she said, glancing her fingers along the surface, then the face where there were holes. Humming in consideration she felt around the edges and find that the device came off but was wired to the platform. She looked at the wire, then it, then smiled, "oh, is a speaker!"

Happy with her discovery, she looked at the hinge, rolled the window up enough then attached the speaker, and carefully maneuvered back to her seat.

"There we go," she sighed, smiling, "sorry about that. How's the popcorn?"

Daze
Daze couldn't help but smile at her attempts at his side of the window. She was in such an awkward position, but he enjoyed it. She was closer to him now and he was loving every second of this. He had it in his head to try to wrestle her into a cuddling position, but opted out of it. After all, he'd have to wrestle her while holding popcorn and that was just going to make a mess.

Not to mention, the popcorn was starting to smell really good, which was distracting his attention. Well, specifically he stomach was distracting him. Giving him commands to devour popcorn.

"Don't apologize, I liked it. In fact, you can cozy on over here anytime you like," Daze said with a wink before placing a small handful of popcorn into his mouth. "Wonder when it's gonna start..." Daze stated with a quirked brow, looking up at the screen.

Kamrun chuckled when Daze invited her to sit/lay in his lap whenever, and she shook her head, stealing another popcorn and resting back in her seat, albeit sitting right next to and practically against the man. He commented on starting time, and Kamrun leaned forward to look at the darkening color of the grey sky.

"Should be soon," she said, leaning back, "I think it works kinda like fireworks, the darker it is the better it's visible."

She smiled at Daze, encouragingly, then moved to her bag of jelly bean, trying to carefully open the bag only to have it pop open unexpectedly. With a surprised cry she gathered up the escaped beans and set them aside, she then reached in the bag for one of the more obedient beans, less escape-artistic, a green one, and smiled and offered it to Daze first, "wanna try one?" she asked.

Daze
"Soon is so far away, though," Daze teasingly whined. There was some truth to his statement, in his head at least. People often used the word soon when it actually wasn't and they wanted to coarse the inquiring individual into patience or when they didn't know, but were hopeful.

Daze always assumed the former. Due to his impatient nature and all that.

"Green bean, huh? Makes me think of a thing..." Daze said with a smile, referring to a thing that happened some time ago. The details were fuzzy, but they brought equally fuzzy good feelings. "Sure, I'll give it a go," Daze said, leaning in to take the bean with his mouth directly. Of course he exaggeratedly opened his mouth as if he were going to take Kamrun's hand along with it. He even made strange animal like throat sounds to emphasize the playfulness.

Of course as soon as he got close he nabbed it with his teeth gently and inhaled it into his mouth before chewing.

"Mmm. Grainy.." Daze jested.

"Soooooooon," Kamrun teased with a laugh, then snickered and held her ground as he opened his mouth and threatened to engulf hey entire hand. Instead he took just the bean and began Cheong it and she ate her own, a pink watermelon flavor.

Daze commented on the texture and she grinned, "yeah they're made out of..." she lifted and looked at the bag, then flipped the bag over, "some kind of sugar."

She was distracted from the ingredients list by the shining of a light and sound coming from the speaker phone. She looked up to see preview images were going on the screen and grinned, "aha! See? Didn't take too long."

She chuckled and snuggled in choose leaning get head against his shoulder, eyes on the screen, stealing another puff of popcorn. This was perfect.
