Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Even if You Forget; Daze

Kamrun
It had taken a while, a long while, of continuously bugging Bruce, teasingly and persistently, until the older man finally gave in, and let her help with some chores. She insisted it wasn't repayment for all the times he didn't let her pay for drinks or food or the occasional room when she needed it, but it really was. Everyone in this village pulled their weight one way or another, the least she could do was clean some dishes and sweep he floors.

She had, of course, come to visit Daze, but Bruce said he hadn't seen him in at least a couple days. It seemed Kamrun had some tough luck trying to catch Daze while he was home, but she figured he was off living one of his six reasons somewhere and would be back eventually. This time she was planning on staying a while, at least until he was back, which would mean she would need a room, and food, and drink.

Hence why she was cleaning the dishes.

Her chores were accompanied by singing, turned out a few songs she had learned from her father, Bruce also knew, she could tell because he would smile nostalgically, sometimes hum along or sing under his breath.

The sun had set a bit ago, long enough ago that only the horizon was still a light shade of grey, and the warm glow of electric lights lit the empty bar.

Kamrun was just finishing the dishes, her jacket tied around her waist and her arms wet nearly to the straps of her tanktop, and she was drying them and passing them to Bruce who put them away, and she kept track of what went where so that next time she could do that part herself too.

That was when they heard something outside, and Kamrun's light-green wings fluttered as she looked at the door curiously. Could it be Daze? She didn't think he'd be the one to walk up to a door, she was expecting him to fade in to his room and probably pass out, and then she'd find him the next morning. But someone was definitely walking up to the door.

"I'll go see," she said with a smile, drying off her arms and jogging to the door.

"Hey!" Bruce called after her, frustrated with her recklessness, just running up to see who would be outside after hours, often angry drunks demanding more booze after last call would throw empty bottles at the door. She would fair far less better than his door.

Still she happily opened the door, yellow light pouring out onto the dirt road, and peered outside, grinning when she saw familiar white hair.

"Daze!" she cried happily and ran out, the door swinging shut behind her, and though the electric lights still colored squares of ground on the road, the world was plunged in a light silver of the sliver crescent moon.

She didn't have far to jog, before slowly coming to a stop, still some feet from the figure she had seen approaching. Her jovial smiled slowly faded, and her brow bent as he eyes stared at the man in the darkness, and her voice questioned out, worried, "Daze?"

The man in front of her, unique dark skin, familiar golden eyes, and unmistakable white hair, did not seem like Daze at all.

Something was very wrong.

Bruce told them to go, and Kamrun was full ready to argue that she should at least clean her plate, but then Daze interrupted and encouraged them leaving, tugging her along and she stumbled a bit and laughed, sputtering and turning one way then the other and finally waved, "bye Bruce!" she called before they left the door.

Kamrun had never seen Bruce's car, she guessed it was either parked somewhere else, or was invisible, she doubted it was invisible. Instead she would let Daze lead her to where the car was, and entertained thoughts of what his driving was like.

If she was right, she was in for a wild ride.

"He's not old you know," she teased Daze, "he's just older than us. Hell I'm probably older than you too," she snickered.

Daze
"Not anymore. You got a new body. You're only a few weeks old cuz you were re-born," Daze teased, sticking his tongue out. "So now my body is much older than yours," Daze added, leading her outside.

He took a right, staying on the porch of the bar before leading her to the side. There was a small shack, nothing impressive. It functioned as a make-shift garage. Once close, Daze opened the large double doors revealing a car covered in a protective cloth. With a grin and exposed tongue, he tugged the cloth off, revealing a first generation hover car.

Easily twice as old as either of them.

"Oooh yeah... I can't believe he's letting me drive this baby," Daze said with a smile, feeling like a 16 year old allowed to go out on a date using his parents car for the first time.

It wasn't a far stretch of the truth either.

Daze countered and Kamrun opened her mouth, paused, then laughed, "I can't argue with that," she agreed and shook her head. She grinned as he led her around the side of the bar to a shack. He let go of her hand to open the doors, and pulled off the cover. Kamrun's eyes lit up as she saw the car and walked around it holding her hand over it but not touching it, as she often did with feeling out magic.

"It's like my dad's car," she said quietly, looking it over, "different color though."

She looked at the seats and the steering wheel and looked back at Daze smiling, her eyes sparkling.

"I'm so excited let's go!" she said, teasingly hopping into the driver's seat and stuck her tongue out at him, daring him to move her.

"Oh, wanna play, huh?" Daze grinned deviously.

Without hesitation, Daze moved over to the drivers seat, barring the door open by standing between it and her. His hands hovered for a brief moment as he decided which angle to approach this. He decided the best way to win this battle was to incapacitate his opponent. It was tactful, swift and efficient. He would use... the tickle method.

Quickly his hands darted for her sides, tickling her in every way he knew how while sliding his right arm behind her with her wings in mind. While she was distracted by the other arm tickling, he hoped, he would use the newly gained leverage to lift her up and slide beneath her so she was sitting on top of him.

If successful, the tickling would stop and he'd just... sort of hold her close.

Kamrun chuckled when he grinned and she gripped the steering wheel tightly. When he moved she reached for the door, but he quickly countered that route of evasion by putting himself between the door and her. She giggled and gripped the steering wheel again, then he lifted his hands and she laughed, holding her hands to try to stop whatever he was going to do, but of course it was futile and he descended on her, his had tickling her ribs and she burst out in a fit of giggling, wiggling and squirming to try to get away, her hands flailing a bit trying to find a way out.

Her wings fanned out and fluttered erratically behind her as well. With her eyes closed her mind racing and her ears filled with the sound of her own laughter, it was easy to sneakily maneuver her into his lap. The tickling stopped and laughter devolved to giggles, then chuckled, while she took deep breaths to get much needed air in her lungs.

When her eyes opened, she also became aware of their position, his arms around her, and she smiled and leaned against him, cuddling against him, one arm raising and resting her hand on his shoulder.

Daze didn't want to let her go. Even though he knew they had a movie to catch. This moment was too good, too perfect. If he let go, then it would be over. He nuzzled his face into her back, just above her wings almost basically her neck while holding her just a bit tighter.

"Hey, Kam...?" Daze said, smiling. "What kind of movie do you want to see?" he said, mostly to break the silence.

Although he knew that question would lead to actually driving and their cuddling to cease.

Kamrun liked this, it was nice, and warm, and not just because they were sitting in a car in the desert. She let her eyes close happily, her fingers lightly dancing on his shoulder. When he said her name she hummed in answer, and he asked what she wanted to go see and she grinned.

"Never seen a movie before Daze, I read books and if I had free time I went to clubs," she chuckled and lowered her hand from his shoulder and let her hand rest in her lap, "what kind of movie do you want to see?"

Her eyes opened and she shifted so that she could look at him, smile, resting her head back on his shoulder.

Daze's eyes widened. Luckily for her, Daze has actually seen movies before. He found a working TV and DVD player in an apartment he and Bloom scouted. They watched an animated movie about a robot, a movie with zombies and a romantic movie about a princess bride or something. He especially liked the last one. If he could, he'd take her to see something like that.

"I don't know what it's called... but I got an idea," Daze smiled, bouncing Kamrun in his lap a couple times to signal her to get into her seat.

He didn't want to end the moment, but they needed to get going. He was going to miss her touch despite her being right there.

Daze was quiet in thought for a moment with his eyes wide, which she didn't know why they were but she smiled. He then spoke and said he had an idea, bouncing his legs and she giggled, shifting and moving over to her seat, reaching back and finding the buckle and strapping herself in. Once the buckle clicked she looked up and smiled, settling back in her seat.

Her only memories of a car had been in a booster seat at her oldest, so this was going to be fun.

"What's your idea?" she asked, pushing some of the hair that had gotten lose from her ponytail back behind her ear.

"It's a secret," Daze teased, cranking the ignition and giving the vehicle lift. "Hold your horses!" Daze exclaimed and hit the gas without buckling up himself.

The car zipped off at the high speeds of.... 80 miles per hour. Which, for a car is pretty fast. It's just been a while since Daze drove. He remembered cars being faster than this. But since he last drove he's gone supersonic several times and on one occasion ran faster than this. Something about it felt super slow.

Daze did hope that Kamrun wasn't scared of him going fast.

Meanwhile inside the bar...

"Oh god, no..." Bruce said in fear, dropping a glass on the ground as he saw Daze zip off as fast as the car would go. "He's gonna wreck my baby..." Bruce whined, setting his head down on the bar, resting his face on his forearm.

He was just being dramatic.

Kamrun stuck her tongue out at Daze who said it was a secret, he could play that way if he wanted. He told her to hold on, and she was about to protest that he didn't have his belt on, but away they went, and she began laughing. He took no time getting up to speed, and she gave an excited yell. Even though she was having fun, she gripped her seat, sort of like when Daze dropped them out of the sky.

Eventually she eased and eased open her eyes to see the scenery zipping by, she felt though that even going this fast, in a car it would still take a day or so to get from Oasis to Central. But that was okay, they could stop to camp, or maybe Daze planned to drive the car through a portal, that would be entertaining.

She laughed again and looked at Daze, smiling, "I'm excited," she said and grinned, "this will be fun."

"Oh yeah, I agree!!" Daze chimed, smiling at Kamrun.

Being the slick cool kid he was, he began to drive only with one hand, walking his now free right hand over to Kamrun's as if his fingers were legs. He then tapped her hand lightly with his own before weaseling it beneath hers to try and lace his fingers around hers.

He was a dork.

Adorable. But a dork.

"You want to take the scenic route, or you want me to use a cheat code?" Daze asked, tilting his head so he could see her and the road.

Daze took a hand off the wheel and walked his fingers over to hers, tapping her hand and she managed to let go of the seat, and hold his hand, his fingers slipping between hers. She gripped his hand tightly and smiled.

He asked her which route to take and she smirked, "as much as I like the scenic route, if we want to get to Central by tonight, we need to cheat code," she smiled, "but we don't have to go right now."

She smiled, squeezing his hand, and leaning back into her seat, slowly starting to relax.

"That's talkin' my style. Procrastinate 'til the last second with the scenic route. Exciting stuff. Racing the clock and making it just in the nick of time!" Daze exaggerated, making it sound like some adventure action comic book where the hero barely makes the escape.

"I know just the place we can kill some time!" Daze announced, taking a hard right turn right up a sand dune.

The car pushed hard up the incline, gaining a bit of air as it hit the top and slowly descended back to the ground. Hover cars didn't tend to actually crash into the ground. Not unless they flipped. Daze had gotten pretty good at getting a lot of air in the desert with hover cars. It was always exciting and fun.

"I hope you brought some swim wear!" Daze announced, as he pulled up to and stopped right at an Oasis with a single large palm tree growing there. "Little bit of water fun before we go to the movies?"

Daze agreed, with flair, and she laughed. She loved that he made up things like this, stories, even on the spot situations.

She whooped as they crested over a dune and sailed through the air for a bit, feeling her stomach rise slightly before they landed and she laughed.

He said she hoped she brought a swimsuit and she laughed, "I don't have my backpack."

It was true, that was still at the bar, it hadn't even touched her back that day, and it had everything in it. Even her coat was still there. Though, she didn't own a bathing suit anyway. Water excursions, if they happened at all, were done in her regular clothes.

He had seen her naked though, so skinny dipping was an option. She looked at the oasis that they pulled up next to and she smiled at the palm tree, then unbuckled, opened her door and stepped out, "sounds perfect," she said to Daze and smiled over at him.

"Excellent," Daze said with glee, killing the ignition and stepping out from the car. "Don't feel bad, I didn't bring any swim wear either," Daze nodded, not really seeing an issue with this fact. "Oh well, going all natural looks to be the best solution!" Daze grinned, taking a dashing run towards the oasis, leaping into the air.

While still above the sand, Daze's body blazed up in a purple opaque flame as the clothes he was wearing fell off of him and onto the sand. He used his fade magic to turn his body, but not his clothes, into a fade portal, teleporting his clothes off of him and onto the ground. His body was the entrance and exit. Kind of a neat parlor trick.

"Cannonball!" he announced, cut off from the water impact. He splashed about for a second before standing up, the water just below his waste. "Come on Kam! It feels amazing!"

Daze didn't own swimwear either, she wasn't surprised, and with a running dash he charged towards the oasis, jumped, faded his clothes off, and landed in the water. Kamrun laughed, then smiled fondly, folding her arms and leaning against the car as she watched him play around for a bit. It was hard to think that not hours ago it was like the weight of the world was on his shoulders, and before then....

She was glad she could help distract him from all that, but it would need to be dealt with, eventually, slowly, at his pace.

he stood in the water and invited her to come in, and she laughed and stepped to where his clothes where.

"I have to do it the slow way," she protested, starting with her boots and eventually working her way out of her clothes. Her wings fluttered as she paused, wondering how they would do in water, then decided to make them 'go away' for now, as much as she liked them.

Once stripped, she also ran towards the water, leaping into the air but not tucked.

"Not a cannonball!" she cried and splashed into the water laughing, and then splashing Daze a bit intentionally. She ducked down to get her hair wet and stood back up with a sigh, "feels great," she agreed, smiling at him.

Daze still felt the weight of the world. He still felt horrible. But he couldn't dwell on it. Kamrun's positive attitude was infectious. She made him smile and be worry free. He knew he had to answer for what he did and likely soon. It was only a matter of time before Angeles, Goemon, Roots and others came seeking him out. He wronged them and he was afraid.

"Oh, a splash war, huh?" Daze grinned, pulling both hands back and splashing the water towards her playfully.

It would take a lot more than playful splashing to make him better completely. But with each passing second he grows stronger emotionally. Strong enough to face the consequences and right his wrongs.

As if he ever could.

"Splash war!" Kamrun happily announced. To no one. But Daze.

He splashed her with both hand and she grinned and did a double-waved swipe with her arms, a lot of water, not a lot of reach on the attack though, and she laughed as it barely got him wet.

"Well that didn't work," she said, poking the water, then grinning and lifting her arms, a lot of water materialized above Daze and the pure magically-created liquid dumped straight towards him, and Kamrun was already retreating as she laughed, knowing there would be consequences to her action, cheating by using magic.

She grinned slyly, encouraging him to take action, daring him to, knowing she was probably going to regret it.

But not really.

"Oh, look out, cuz I think there's a shark in the water," Daze grinned slyly. Reaching up above his head after getting soaked.

Both hands reached into a fade portal. Which, of course, the end was right below Kamrun. He intended to grab her by the ankles and yank her down through the portal into his arms. Of course, that means she'd be pulled down into the water, which he imagines would be quite the scare. Especially after being grabbed at from beneath the water itself.

"Boo," he'd say, if successful.

Consequences were fun.
