Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Kamrun
It had taken a while, a long while, of continuously bugging Bruce, teasingly and persistently, until the older man finally gave in, and let her help with some chores. She insisted it wasn't repayment for all the times he didn't let her pay for drinks or food or the occasional room when she needed it, but it really was. Everyone in this village pulled their weight one way or another, the least she could do was clean some dishes and sweep he floors.

She had, of course, come to visit Daze, but Bruce said he hadn't seen him in at least a couple days. It seemed Kamrun had some tough luck trying to catch Daze while he was home, but she figured he was off living one of his six reasons somewhere and would be back eventually. This time she was planning on staying a while, at least until he was back, which would mean she would need a room, and food, and drink.

Hence why she was cleaning the dishes.

Her chores were accompanied by singing, turned out a few songs she had learned from her father, Bruce also knew, she could tell because he would smile nostalgically, sometimes hum along or sing under his breath.

The sun had set a bit ago, long enough ago that only the horizon was still a light shade of grey, and the warm glow of electric lights lit the empty bar.

Kamrun was just finishing the dishes, her jacket tied around her waist and her arms wet nearly to the straps of her tanktop, and she was drying them and passing them to Bruce who put them away, and she kept track of what went where so that next time she could do that part herself too.

That was when they heard something outside, and Kamrun's light-green wings fluttered as she looked at the door curiously. Could it be Daze? She didn't think he'd be the one to walk up to a door, she was expecting him to fade in to his room and probably pass out, and then she'd find him the next morning. But someone was definitely walking up to the door.

"I'll go see," she said with a smile, drying off her arms and jogging to the door.

"Hey!" Bruce called after her, frustrated with her recklessness, just running up to see who would be outside after hours, often angry drunks demanding more booze after last call would throw empty bottles at the door. She would fair far less better than his door.

Still she happily opened the door, yellow light pouring out onto the dirt road, and peered outside, grinning when she saw familiar white hair.

"Daze!" she cried happily and ran out, the door swinging shut behind her, and though the electric lights still colored squares of ground on the road, the world was plunged in a light silver of the sliver crescent moon.

She didn't have far to jog, before slowly coming to a stop, still some feet from the figure she had seen approaching. Her jovial smiled slowly faded, and her brow bent as he eyes stared at the man in the darkness, and her voice questioned out, worried, "Daze?"

The man in front of her, unique dark skin, familiar golden eyes, and unmistakable white hair, did not seem like Daze at all.

Something was very wrong.

Kamrun laughed, "please don't beat them up," she said and shook her head. Daze rushed up to the car, reaching her door before her and she blinked a bit in surprise, until he opened the door and waved her in, then she smiled.

"Oh well thank you kindly good gentleman," she said, teasing but grateful. She slipped in and he closed the door, appearing through a portal into his seat as Kamrun buckled herself in. He smiled at her, and she smiled back warmly.

He asked her to cheat codes, and she honestly had no idea what it meant, but knew the context.

"Yes," she grinned deviously, "cheat codes."

"Cheat Codes," Daze nodded, cranking the engine and hitting the gas without buckling his seat belt.

Then they were off, going zero to eighty in just blink of an eye. Hover cars were nothing if not fast. Well. Compared to cars before their time. They didn't have to worry about friction or speed build up. No tires to ground them. They just went. It was great. Well, until Daze drives them up a Sand Dune to get a ton of air.

Like now.

"ALRIIIIGHT!" He shouted in glee, opening a fade portal in front of them right as they hit the apex.

Ca'Thunk...

The car sounded, shaking lightly as it suddenly stopped. They were in Central City, thankfully on an actual road and not on top of a building. Daze wasn't too familiar with the city so he just sort of winged it. They were, however, in the slums, which explained why there were no other cars around them. People 'round here usually just walked.

"Right, let's find that theater!" Daze announced, having absolutely no idea where it was located within the city.

Kamrun again tried to protest his lack of a seat belt as he turned the car on and roared away. She laughed as he drove up a dune to jump it again, holding onto her seat and squeezing her eyes closed, yelling in delight as the arched up, into a fade portal, then down into Central City.

Kamrun sat in her seat laughing, waiting for the feeling of her stomach dropping to go away.

When she opened her eyes, they were in the slums, and she looked around quickly to determine where exactly they were in the slums.

Daze exclaimed they should find the theater and she laughed, "we could just ask someone if they know where it is, that way we're not driving around for hours," she teased, but was being honest. Not that driving around with Daze would be a bad thing, unless he drove like he did in the desert in the city then people might get hurt and stuff get broken. But they were trying to get to the theater in time, so direction on where to go would be nice.

Daze
"Askin' people, huh?" Daze asked rhetorically, repeating the gist of her suggestion. "Aight, I'll try that," he stated, cruising down the road a bit until he found an establishment with a few people standing outside.

"Oi! Pal," Daze called out in a slightly macho-ish tone.

"Eh? What you want...?" the slightly intoxicated man rebuttled.

"Heard there's a drive in theater, you know anythin' 'bout where it is?" Daze inquired.

The tension between the two was thick enough to cut with a knife. Daze was coming off too strong and the drunk guy looked like he didn't mess around either with his neon green mowhawk, piercings and leather stud jacket. The two glared at each other intensely for a moment.

"Oh yeah, that thing is just before the rich upper city area, look for Jameswood," the fellow said with a grin.

"Thanks guy," Daze winked, before hitting the gas looking for where the streets starting to improve in quality. "Nice guy, could tell. Nice guys over-compensate with the tough look so people don't walk all over 'em a lot," Daze nodded, somehow having experience with that sort of thing. "Want to get distracted on our way there and show up just before it starts or you wanna be on time?" Daze asked, as if he had any clue what time it even started.

Which he didn't.

Kamrun
Kamrun was a little surprised when Daze agreed with her, she remembered her mother always telling her how annoying it was that men never asked for directions when they were lost, which was always mentioned because Kamrun's father apparently would never listen to her mother while they were driving, and her mother always knew where they were because of her magic.

The man Daze chose to call out to was dressed tough with bright green hair. Daze asked about the theater and the man glared at him, and there was a tense moment where Kamrun looked between the two, and smiled.

The man then told them exactly where they needed to go, Daze thanked him and Kamrun waved as they drove off. Daze explained why he had chosen that specific man to get directions from, and Kamrun chuckled, "never judge a book by it's cover," she said simply.

"Well," Kamrun said and looked out the window at the sky, "what I do know about drive ins is that the movie starts when the sun sets. So I think we have time before then, but we may want to make sure that there are still tickets available, in case they're sold out, then we can kill time after we know," she said, smiling at Daze, who was much more interesting to look at than the sky.

"Yeah, I guess we should at least find the place and get the tickets. Else we'd have to sneak in and hope we don't get caught," Daze grinned, slightly liking the idea of doing that. It was a rule for him to break and he absolutely liked breaking the rules set in place by those in power. Something in him liked to prove that the powerful aren't powerful and just because they have power they don't get to make the rules.

But, today was a day for having fun. It was a date night with Kamrun. In fact, as soon as the word Date entered his mind, his cheeks began to flush a bit. Even though he already knew, the reality of it just hit him.

Wow. I am on my first REAL date. Like, full on whole deal. Whoa... He thought, looking dead ahead at the road and... placing both hands on the wheel like a good Samaritan driver whilst driving towards the nicer parts of Central.

"Ugh, you look really nice Kamrun," Daze managed, taking a deep breath and tilting his head a bit so he could see Kamrun and the road. Just so he could give her a soft smile and wink at her. "Like, for real. I'm glad we're doin' this," he added.

Daze agreed with her and she smiled, looking ahead and out the window to watch the city go by. She didn't go to Upper Central often, it was kind of nice to watch it fly by so quickly.

She noticed a change in Daze's demeanor and looked over to him, he was blushing slightly. Why she had no clue, and he put both hands on the wheel again, staring straight ahead. Curious if something was wrong, she looked ahead of them to find something that would make him act that way, not that she thought anything could, it was Daze, and sure enough she saw nothing.

He then glanced at her and she looked at him, smiling at the compliment and looking down at herself. It was a simple halter top and pants, it wasn't much different from what she normally wore.

"Thank you," she said with a gentle chuckle, looking at him again in time to see him wink, "I'm glad to be doing this with you to, something new, it will be fun," she grinned.

"Yeah, I--" Daze cut himself off. "Oh, that's our turn," Daze said, nodding to the street name he was told to look after.

He took the turn as carefully as possible. He was trying to be mindful of Bruce's wishes while at least within Central City. He didn't want to wreck the car. He also didn't want to cause harm to anyone nearby. He was tired of hurting other people through his recklessness. He wanted to be there to protect people, to help them when he could.

He just needed time.

"I think I see the theater," Daze stated, pointing out of excitement. "Alright, this is gonna be fu---" he cut himself off with silence. "Oh god, there's a line..." Daze whined, being the sixth car in line for the drive in part of the theater.

Last time he got kicked out of Central was due to him having issues with... lines.

Daze stopped talking to get a turn, and Kamrun smiled at the obvious way he was now being careful with the car, smirking slightly and leaning an arm on the door. There was a bit more driving when Daze said he saw the theater and she perked up, sitting straight and leaning forward, smiling as she also saw it. Daze started to get excited when his whole mood dropped as the car stopped sixth in line, something he complained about with dread.

Kamrun glanced at him, understanding why lines bothered him, why he was acting this way, and she smiled. It took her no time to have the perfect solution.

"I spy with my little eye," she said, looking around where they were, "something...," she bit her lower lip and then smiled at a firehydrant, "red."

She looked back at Daze and grinned. This was a game her and her brothers would play to pass the time when they were told to be patient, even when her brothers were adults and she was just a teenager.

It never failed, as long as Daze's mood wasn't too soured.

Daze tilted his head at the start of the game. He was confused for a moment, but quickly got the idea once he thought about it for a bit. His mouth gasped open with excitement, mostly because it was a thing for him to do. Not to mention it was going to keep him from driving the car over the people in line or causing chaos from sheer boredom.

"Ooh, Okay, Red," Daze said, looking around the area far too fast to pinpoint anything specifically. "Is it... you're pretty hair?" Daze asked, turning to Kamrun with a wink and a cheeky grin.

He was a cheeseball.

It took a moment for Daze to catch on to the game, but when he did his face lit with excitement, and she smiled happily. He began looking for red things and she tried hard not to look at the fire hydrant, chuckling and having eyes only for the white-haired man.

He had a guess and she grinned, "no," she said chuckling, again not looking at the chosen object, doing so would only give it away, granted then it would simply be his turn and the game would continue, but she'd keep him guessing, keep him busy, and keep his mind off of the line they were in, among other things.

"Are you sure?" Daze asked, giving her enough time to answer his teasing question.

Mostly so he could buy time, looking around at things. He saw bricks, cars, more of Kamrun's hair, a stop sign, Kamrun's hair again, tail lights, fire hydrant, Kamrun's hair and the lights coming from the radio. Along with Kamrun's hair.

"Hmmm.... choices, choices... uhhh," Daze stalled, stopping his stalling once the car came to a halt from the line progression. He put the car in park and positioned himself so he was really close to Kamrun, trying to stare at her in the eyes. He was trying to read her mind.

He would fail.

But he thought he'd give it a shot. It's how most of his powers came to him, so why not this too? Well, according to his logic.

"Damn, that didn't work... uh... the stop sign?" Daze asked with a grin before moving away from Kamrun's face so he wasn't so in it.

Kamrun smiled when Daze leaned in close and stared at her. He would definitely fail at reading her mind, but have her a good choose up look of his eyes, bringing a little color to her cheeks. She refrained from openly calling them, pretty, or beautiful, or gorgeous. Given how much of a man Daze was it might not be received well-ish. But they were.

Daze said something didn't work then guessed at the thing she spied and she snickered, "no that's not it," she said, tilting her head and kissing the tip of his nose, glancing as the line of cars moved a little again.

She looked back him and grinned, "guess again."

"Hmmm.... well, let's see," Daze said, looking around again after smiling from the kiss.

The line got shorter, which caused Daze to have to change gears and move up a whole car-length before being at a stop again.

"Your cheeks? Cuz you were blushin' pretty cardcore just a second ago," Daze teased, turning to Kamrun and winking at her. Although, his guess wouldn't make sense. People typically can't see their own cheeks and they weren't blushing when she called red. Unless she was planning for this very moment in some elaborate ruse.

Far more interesting than a fire hydrant. Which is why he went for it.

Psychic star seer Kamrun, he'd call her.

Kamrun laughed and shook her head, "no it's not my cheeks," she said through her giggles, "I can't see my cheeks," She looked over as the line moved and they increased in place size. The game was working and she smiled, "keep guessing."

She shifted in her seat, moving so that she would be closer to him.

She smiled and teased him, "you were blushing too but it's not your cheeks either."

She looked at the line, counting the cars ahead of them, smiled, and avoided looking at the hydrant, there were still a number of other red things he could guess, was only a matter of time before he guessed right.

"Red, red, red..." Daze chanted to himself, noticing her adjustment to get closer to him.

It made him smile and lose focus. All he could think of was her. Well, now her hair. He was just thinking red and she got his attention. He caught himself staring, shaking his head to get his thoughts back on track.

"I may have been blushin', but, uh...." Daze said, not really having a comeback or anything witty to say, so he looked around for a thing to guess at. "Um, that, er.... thing," Daze said, pointing to the fire hydrant.

He actually didn't know what it was called or used for. Only ones he's seen were in City Ruins. It's never been an important factor in his life in this dystopia world he lives in. Mostly because he's never lived in Central, so city stuff like that was lost on him.

Kamrun chuckled when it began that Daze was going to say something to her teasing, but instead went back to the game, looking around and pointing out his next guess.

"Yup, that's the one," she laughed, "only fire hydrant around, which is kinda dangerous but I don't design the city so," she grinned, lifting a hand and looking out the front window at where they were in line. They only had a few car lengths left to go, another round of the game should do it.

"Okay," she said, settling down in her seat and lacing her fingers together, "you're turn," she looked to him and grinned.

"Oh, wait... I got it?" Daze laughed, taken a bit aback that he guessed correctly out of sheer luck. "Alright, so I just say somethin' about what I see and you guess, I can do that," Daze explained to himself, looking around for something, pausing to drive forward just a bit.

That's when he saw her reflection in the rear-view mirror and smiled.

"I spy," Daze paused for dramatic effect. "Someone beautiful," Daze grinned, knowing that she'd probably play coy and not guess herself.

And if she ever did, he'd have her admit, in some weird way, that she was beautiful.

He thinks himself to be very clever.

He got the jist of the game easily, and by the sounds of it had never played before, "beginners luck," she teased him with a grin, "not doing bad for your first time," she tried to waggle her eyebrows like he had done to her in Terminus, and laughed because it was a very failed attempt.

Daze began his turn, looking at the mirror and string he saw someone beautiful. She held in a scoff and grinned, knowing he meant her, not because she thought she was beautiful, but because she knew he did.

But she would tease him and began looking around, the game had to continue in order to keep Daze's mind off the line, "is it that gentleman?" She asked pointing to a decently attractive young man with long hair. She did it to tease him, naturally, going for the completely opposite gender she was.

"That guy? Nah, he's tryin' too hard. Dressin' up nice, groomin' his hair. Take all that away and he's nothin'," Daze protested, smiling at her false guess.

The car ahead of them drove forward, allowing him to do the same. It made it so there was only one car ahead of them now. They were getting closer to their destination and fun movie time. Her plan to distract him with a game was working beautifully.

"Come on, guess again," Daze egged on.
