Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Even if You Forget; Daze

Kamrun
It had taken a while, a long while, of continuously bugging Bruce, teasingly and persistently, until the older man finally gave in, and let her help with some chores. She insisted it wasn't repayment for all the times he didn't let her pay for drinks or food or the occasional room when she needed it, but it really was. Everyone in this village pulled their weight one way or another, the least she could do was clean some dishes and sweep he floors.

She had, of course, come to visit Daze, but Bruce said he hadn't seen him in at least a couple days. It seemed Kamrun had some tough luck trying to catch Daze while he was home, but she figured he was off living one of his six reasons somewhere and would be back eventually. This time she was planning on staying a while, at least until he was back, which would mean she would need a room, and food, and drink.

Hence why she was cleaning the dishes.

Her chores were accompanied by singing, turned out a few songs she had learned from her father, Bruce also knew, she could tell because he would smile nostalgically, sometimes hum along or sing under his breath.

The sun had set a bit ago, long enough ago that only the horizon was still a light shade of grey, and the warm glow of electric lights lit the empty bar.

Kamrun was just finishing the dishes, her jacket tied around her waist and her arms wet nearly to the straps of her tanktop, and she was drying them and passing them to Bruce who put them away, and she kept track of what went where so that next time she could do that part herself too.

That was when they heard something outside, and Kamrun's light-green wings fluttered as she looked at the door curiously. Could it be Daze? She didn't think he'd be the one to walk up to a door, she was expecting him to fade in to his room and probably pass out, and then she'd find him the next morning. But someone was definitely walking up to the door.

"I'll go see," she said with a smile, drying off her arms and jogging to the door.

"Hey!" Bruce called after her, frustrated with her recklessness, just running up to see who would be outside after hours, often angry drunks demanding more booze after last call would throw empty bottles at the door. She would fair far less better than his door.

Still she happily opened the door, yellow light pouring out onto the dirt road, and peered outside, grinning when she saw familiar white hair.

"Daze!" she cried happily and ran out, the door swinging shut behind her, and though the electric lights still colored squares of ground on the road, the world was plunged in a light silver of the sliver crescent moon.

She didn't have far to jog, before slowly coming to a stop, still some feet from the figure she had seen approaching. Her jovial smiled slowly faded, and her brow bent as he eyes stared at the man in the darkness, and her voice questioned out, worried, "Daze?"

The man in front of her, unique dark skin, familiar golden eyes, and unmistakable white hair, did not seem like Daze at all.

Something was very wrong.

They were close, and Kamrun was excited, but Daze was still paying the game, telling her the guess was wrong because the guy was a try hard and she chuckled.

She instead looked around for another person in the small population on the streets, sitting a young blond woman in a short skirt. Lots of makeup but very pretty.

"Oh I know, it's her," she said leaning over and pointing, making sure Daze had the correct line of sight to know who she was pointing at.

"I mean, sure, she's pretty an all, but she's got a nasty soul. Look at her posture. She thinks she's all better than everyone else just by the way she's holding herself, wouldn't give someone the time of day unless they were at her standards. To be beautiful you're soul has to be beautiful too," Daze explained, using the term soul in a more metaphorical manner.

Of course he assumed a lot about the girl without ever meeting her. But he had a feel for this sort of thing and learned to size a person up quickly based on his feelings on them.

It also spoke wonders about what he thought about Kamrun since he thought she was beautiful.

Kam chuckled as Daze said what he thought about the woman and she poked his shoulder, "you don't know she might be really nice," she countered and smirked. She looked ahead and saw that the car ahead of them was getting its tickets, and they would be next and she grinned, looking to Daze.

"Okay, last guess. Is it you?" she grinned. She knew the answer, but she wouldn't admit it, especially not with the additional compliments he was giving subtly. She'd deny them, naturally, but the game was a good reason to not shoot them down and possibly hurt his feelings.

"Hmmm, I don't know.. I mean, I am pretty amazing and I'd say I'm pretty damn good looking," Daze looked into the mirror, shifting his brows a bit and shifting his jaw back and forth. "But nah, this person is way better than me. In fact, they're not only just better looking but they're a better person. Great heart and soul," Daze admitted, returning his attention to the road.

"So you give up?" Daze asked, looking over at her with a sly smile.

Daze considered if he could be the thing that he had spied and Kamrun snickered. He then turned it around and said that this person was better. She sighed that but sure, whatever made him smile.

"I give up," she said with a heavy, dramatic, defeated sigh bowing her head then looking up at him with a smile, "looks like we are about to get out tickets."

She didn't need the answer, he had made it obvious what he thought, plus the game was over anyway.

"Looks like I am the... uh..." Daze paused, forgetting the name of the game. "Yeah, Champion of the game we were just playing. The Kamrun is beautiful game," Daze nodded, making up his own name for the game.

Daze pulled up to the ticket booth, seeing a list of shows available for them to watch. By list, of course, there were three. A romantic comedy titled A Princess Like Bride, a horror movie titled Alienz and a fantasy adventure titled Master of the Rings.

"Huh, any of them sound good to me, which you want, BB?" Daze asked.

Kamrun laughed and shook her head as Daze proclaimed himself the winner and renamed the game, "I spy," she informed him. She looked over as they pulled up and looked at the choices. She knew there were people behind them in the line so the decision needed to be quick, and probably just based entirely on the posters.

"Um...," she bit her lip and looked between the three, "I like either Princess-like Bride or Master of the Rings, those look cool....," she hummed, then smiled, "Princess-like Bride, I feel like something funny," she nodded then looked to Daze, "if you're okay with that," she said, grabbing her backpack to see about paying.

She was sure Daze didn't have Zeni, or at least mostly sure, and was able to pull out a fistful of bills and start counting.

"Yeah, that sounds good. Feel like I'm gonna like it," Daze smiled, not remembering that he had seen this movie before. But a second time while not remembering the movie would be enjoyable. Especially since he liked the movie a whole lot the first time.

"Huh.... so that's money, eh?" Daze asked rhetorically, looking at the Zeni.

He had honestly never seen money that up close before. Grew up in a world that had no use for it. He'd never seen the point in it. Sounded silly to him. No one really raided wallets of the fallen in a world where nothing of value was in them. But the world was changing again. It was returning to normal and the ways of the old were coming back.

Daze was, of course, slow on the uptake. Living life in the way he knew best.

Much like many others and the people of Terminus.

Just with less Slavery.

"So, the movie needs that stuff, then? Not booze or capsules?" Daze asked, making sure he got this economy thing down pat.

"Yeah, it's paper," she said with a chuckle and a shake of her head, "honestly it's worthless, not like trading for capsules or booze or other things people need. It burns easy too. When my family was on the run from the androids we saved our zeni for kindling."

She noted he price and counted out the bills to hand to Daze, "and he should give you some change back," she said, doing the math.

She looked at him when he asked about the trade and she smirked, "only in Central it seems," she said, putting the rest of the zeni back, "everywhere else is still good for trade. I prefer it that way," she admitted, zipping up the bag and smiling at him, "if they have concessions we can get popcorn. You ever had popcorn, or candy?"

"Yeah, Bruce used to make popcorn for me when I was young, wait... maybe that was just corn. I know I've had candy, no wait... that was--uh, nevermind," Daze shook his head, unsure if it was simply a girl he knew who called herself candy or not.

Remembering was hard and he was very likely to put his foot directly in his mouth if he wasn't careful.

"But yeah, let's just say I haven't. Cuz I don't remember, concession is wher--" Daze was cut off by the change giving of the clerk, who also handed Daze tickets. "Thanks. Yeah, concessions... they're where?" Daze asked, driving forward slowly.

Daze went back and forth between whether he had something or not and Kamrun smiled. Eventually Daze gave up and said that because he couldn't remember he must not have and asked where they would be, after getting the change. Remembering wouldn't be problem for him as long as she was around, she had promised.

"They would be a place selling food basically," she looked around, "there it is, but we should park first so that we get a good spot," she looked out across the lot and leaned over to glance at the tickets, "okay our screen is that one," she pointed.

"We can park, then get out and get snacks, sound like a plan?"

"It sure does, let's do it to it," Daze smiled, driving off to the direction in which she pointed and began to scout for a good spot. He didn't want anything so super close, but also wanted one in the middle so they had the dead center spot.

Eventually, he found one that was acceptable. About four rows back, just a bit off center, a little on the left side. Good enough. Doesn't require a lot of head tilting in any one direction. They could just stare. No worries about pain in the neck angles.

"Alright," Daze paused, vanishing from his spot to just outside Kamrun's door, opening it for her. "After you miss," Daze winked, bowing as he opened the door for his date.

Daze picked a good spot, or what seemed like a good spot, following his same logic she could see it was a good spot for not having to twist her head in painful angles to watch the movie. She was getting really excited, and when he put the car in park, she unbuckled and reached for the door but he opened it. She blinked and looked at him, then his empty seat, then him again and smirked.

"Oh you cheater," she murmured but stepped out.

"Thank you Mr. Daze," she said in a fake regal voice, lightly touching his shoulder. She slipped her backpack onto her own shoulder and took his hand, beginning the trek to the concessions stand. She could smell it from several feet away, and though she knew that she wanted a big thing of popcorn that they could share, but wanted to see what else they had.

"So many things," she said in amazement, "never seen so much candy in my life."

Like she was old or something.

"I... I don't even know what to try," Daze acclaimed, holding Kamrun's hand firmly.

There was so much of... well, everything. They even had popcorn flavors. It all smelled so good. Although, the little colorful bears were calling his name. They were cute, bright and that usually meant tasty. Well, he thinks it meant that. He wasn't sure. But something about them called to him.

"Actually, I think I want to try those," Daze said, pointing to the colorful bears. "What about you?" Daze asked.

Daze was as overwhelmed by it all as she chuckled slightly. There was a lot to choose from, but when Daze made his selection and pointed it out, she leaned forward to see what it was. Beans it looked like, and she smiled, "hey look, beans, every flavored it says, maybe I should sort them," she teased, then stepped forward.

The young kid at the booth looked at her, particularly her wings, and stared wide-eyed for a long while, which gave her time to go over the drink choices as well.

"Oooh, Sodas," she said, "haven't had one of those in a while, do you have a favorite flavor? We can get a big one and share."

"Haha, oh no. Not the beans, next to those. The little bears," Daze laughed, not wanting her to sort through beans the entire movie. Not that he'd mind. Beans were the foundation of their meeting. Well. Him saving her by pure chance from a kick was the foundation. But beans were funnier.

"Well, maybe the beans wouldn't be so bad," Daze smiled. "Not sure on the Soda, never really tried a bunch. I know I liked the, uh.... wait, I don't know what I liked," Daze said with a strange expression, sighing and looking down in a bit of frustration at his own lack of knowledge on himself.

Not that he's actually tried enough soda to have a favorite anyway.

"Um, you pick, I'm not picky," Daze smiled, lifting his head back up.

"Okay," Kamrun said, turning around and seeing the man staring at her wings. She fluttered them and he seemed to come out of it.

"A large bag of popcorn, a bag of gummi bears and jelly beans, and uh," she looked again, "a lemon-lime soda," she nodded.

The man blinked at her a bit, then rang up the order. She dug through her bag again and puled out more zeni, counting out the number the man said and handing it to him.

He took the money and passed them the candy and went to grab the soda. She turned and handed him the bears, then turned and grabbed the popcorn and tried to manage the drink, couldn't manage, so dropped the beans into her bag and then was able to grab the other things.

"Alright let's go," she said, excitement again filling her.

Daze saw she was struggling with the load and he knew very well she wouldn't have him carry any more than the bears themselves. So, he did what any gentleman and rational thinking guy would do. He put the bag in his mouth, carrying it with his teeth... and scooped Kamrun up off of her feet so that she was laying in his arms, hopefully still holding the stuff.

He was careful about the wings. Didn't want to hurt them or make her uncomfortable.

"OIho wew fefwfoj," he jargoned with the bag in his mouth, managing... okay, he didn't manage anything. He wasn't able to use his teeth at all for that bit. They'd likely have to wait until they got to the car for him to try again.

Which, by then, he would have forgotten. Now the world will never know what Daze tried to say in that moment.

They were well on their way back, when suddenly her feet were no longer touching the ground, she quickly righted the popcorn and drink so they didn't spill as she let out an exclamation of surprise then laughed. A few kernels were lost in the process and she looked at them woefully. Had she had more skill they would have been saved.

Her woe was lost when Daze tried to speak and she giggled nearly the entire way back to the car, where once he set her down she did ask, "what was that you were trying to say?"

She got her balance, then looked up at the sky to gauge the time. She smiled as it would be a few minutes before the movie started, and handed the drink to Daze so that she could maneuver back into the car. A fleeting thought to sit in the driver's seat again was squashed by the fact that she didn't want to lose more popcorn..

Still she grinned at him for his antics, part of why she liked him so much.

"I forgot," Daze smiled, lying. He didn't want to repeat himself. He expressed a sentiment from his heart, using the bad as a cover from really saying it but saying it at the same time. It was a juvenile tactic, but it was a way of him braving up and prepping himself for expressing himself fully one day.

"After you," Daze said, holding the door open with one hand, the popcorn in the other with his bag of candy placed neatly on top.

Once Kamrun's position was secured and her door shut, Daze fell through a portal into the drivers seat. Mostly because he didn't unlock his door due to him not getting out through the door. He also didn't want to bother Kamrun with unlocking his door for him.

"Are you excited?" Daze asked, scooting over closer to Kamrun.

Thankfully these hover cars didn't have any controls between the seats. So it was easier to get close.
