Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. Zuus
Zuus knew his way through the desert now. Beforehand, cutting through this route on the way to the north would result in him getting lost. But now he knew his way around. It would be a good place to stop on his way to catching up with his team. By now they should have reached Goemon's hideout. Now he just had to hope that the wraiths weren't following him. Once was coincidence. Twice was a pattern.

If another one of those creatures attacked him here, then it was obvious that they were following him. At that point, it would be too risky to catch up with Glacius and Goemon. He'd have to get a message sent to them some other way.

But still, aside from the sonic boom of the end of his flight, there shouldn't be anything that attracted unwanted attention. He would stop here, wait, and if nothing happened, move on.

Zuus was already calculating and preparing for the worst.

Roots
Zuus had arrived several moments before Groot had. The Saiyan had let the animatronic carry him for several minutes but his strength was returning to him rapidly. He felt nervous, spending time in Oasis but he could not smell Daze, so he was gone, it seemed.

The thought that Daze might never even return made him a little sad.

Roots heard the sonic boom and perhaps a few seconds later the now-cloaked Saiyan flew in. He was still a little worn from their fight, but most of his strength had returned.

"You really think Oasis might be safe?" The Saiyan spoke aloud.

Groot followed soon behind him. He had managed to recover quickly from before, but still didn't seem like he was at one-hundred percent yet. He asked if the Oasis was safe, and Zuus answered honestly.

"No, Zuus does not think that."

He turned around to face the Saiyan.

"If one of those things appears here, then that is twice since Zuus left the hideout after it was taken. That means that they are following Zuus. If that is the case, then it is not safe for Zuus to go with the others. Zuus can accept one appearing as an outlier in the data. Another appearing so shortly means it is a pattern and enemy action."

Roots
"...Damn," Roots muttered softly in response as Zuus turned to face him. The monarch spoke and the Saiyan nodded softly at certain points. Zuus had already dealt with these creatures once before, it seemed. In any case, he had come to the conclusion that he could not relocate with the 'others', which Roots could only assume was Glacius and that other person he was with.

Had it been Goemon? He thought he had smelled it.

"You think they're really following you?" He asked, rubbing at his nose.

He wasn't sure if he was excited or scared about that, considering he was in the creature's company.

Zuus
"Zuus does not know that yet." He answered.

There was a chance it was a coincidence. Considering the first thing the creature did when it came across them was attack Groot, it was possible that it was after him for some reason. There was not enough data to draw a conclusion. Still, Groot had no idea what they were, while Zuus was there when they took off with Tao.

He looked over to the Saiyan.

"More data is required. Therefore, Zuus needs to know what Groot was doing before he came across Zuus."

The sound of movement could be heard as they discussed things. Something gently walking on a hard road with hardened feet. Coming towards them slowly was a hooded man cloaked and armored atop a steed. Fog came rolling with the man and his horse along with an unease once again.

Roots snorted.

"More data would certainly be fuckin' nice," He cursed under his breath. He felt an odd shiver on his back and heard movement. His eyes turned and he saw fog, and a hooded man atop of a horse.

"...Less data, please..." The Saiyan said with closed eyes, and straigtened himself. He wiped at his mouth with his fingers, and shook his head.

"For what it's worth, Zuus, I was just flying and happened to see you. I guess one of us has really, really awful luck,"

Zuus
Well, let it be said that if you ask, you shall receive. Groot had just been flying about when he came across him. It was Zuus and his team that were evacuating the island hideout.

"Then you were not involved." The android stated, "It is unfortunate that you have gotten roped up in this, but if it turns hostile, Zuus is glad for your assistance."

This did prove that they were after him now. It would also be far too dangerous to follow Glacius and Goemon now. He'd have to get a message to them somehow that they needed to stay secure.

However, this one hadn't attacked yet. Unlike the last one, so perhaps this was something different.

"Specter." Zuus said, "Why are you following Zuus?"

Stopping it's slow walk the hooded specter turned to the android. "I seek you not Android. My path lies in taking the blood of one saiyan named Roots." Pulling his sword slowly the wraith pointed it at the man in question. "Another shall be along to deal with you in time but for now I seek this one as is commanded.

Charging atop his horse the wraith aimed to remove the saiyans head.

Roots
"Roots?" The Saiyan spoke aloud.

He wasn't sure where the wit came from. Maybe he was scared. Maybe it made him think a little faster.

Maybe he was actually enjoying the animatronic's company. And at that point, Roots felt like he needed Zuus' help.

"The name is Groot!" He shouted, blasting backwards along the ground, rocketing away from the creature. Roots eyes darted over to Zuus, and then Roots brought himself up into the air.

His eyes landed on Daze's bar for just a moment.

"If you insist though, you gotta follow me!" The Saiyan ascended up into the air, aiming to get away from Oasis.

Roots? The spirit was after Enragement Child? Well, in Zuus's mind, the wraiths could have him. But he was after the wrong one. That creature might have looked like Enragement Child, but it was not. It was Groot. The hair was different and the energy levels were too high to be Enragement Child.

Still, he didn't think it was going to go quietly. Groot would fight him though, and Zuus could tell that this one seemed much more powerful then the last one.

The android looked back to Groot and then back to the spirit. If they were going to fight here, then Zuus would need to try and push it out. Which is what Groot was trying to do as well.

"Zuus says you can tell whoever comes for Zuus to not waste their time. Zuus will fell any challenger. As for Enragement Child, he is not worth Zuus's time. And you are not worth his."

The wraith gave pursuit after the saiyan. As it passed Zuus it looked at him. "Your time will come either way android." After his words were finished his speed picked up.

The steed that he rode began to elevate from the ground has its lower legs turned to fog. Speed also increased for them as the chase was on. Closing quickly on his target sword raised again to strike. "None escape my blade! A false pretense does not change the list of the marked either! Bellowing as he gave chase the wraith was intent on his goal.

Roots
It was certainly following him. Good. Away from Oasis. Far, far away. Not many people lived there but Roots wouldn't let a single life be put in danger on his account. Something was going on. Something serious.

Once was a coincidence but twice, and this creature knew his name.

That scared him.

The Saiyan blasted through the sky quickly, cloak flapping behind him. He was glad he had let Zuus carry him for some time. He desperately had needed the rest. While soaring through the sky, up, and away from Oasis, he began to level his flight path. He was traveling south-west, towards the foothills, but Roots had a feeling it would all be over before they ever saw any green.

"Not sure why you want to kill R-Roots so damn bad, but like I said, you got the wrong guy,"
He shouted, lying. He raised a palm and lobbed a pale-yellow blast of ki at the Seeker.

Zuus
They were heading out, and the damned creature was following Groot. Apparently this one wasn't for him, but there was one coming too. He'd need to prepare for that, but it definitely meant that it was too dangerous to go to Goemon and Glacius. He'd have to find a way to send message to them, somehow.

He wasn't going to let this ghost just take out Groot either. As the spirit was following after him, Zuus did so as well, leaving the relative safety of Oasis. He followed close behind as Groot did finally make his move and attack with an energy blast.

A smart move. Use a weak one to determine the power of the opponent.

Still, he had to think. If the crane school was out, where could he head to next? The important thing was to inform the others. So he needed to find someone.

Perhaps she would be able to help.

Ignoring the words from his prey the wraith's pursuit was picking up speed. His progress would not be impeded either by flimsy attacks.

As the energy blast closed on him the wraith exploded into fog evading the attack and at the same time the speed picked up exponentially. The fog itself became multiple pillars that gained on Roots at a terrifying rate.

The flying Saiyan's eyes saw Zuus echoing after them, and that made him feel safer. Whatever the hell was going on, he wanted to keep Zuus with him. Better that than alone, and certainly better that than having to deal with whoever the hell this horseman was and Zuus.

The Seeker evaporated into fog and the attack did nothing, harmlessly sailing through whatever form he had taken. Pillars of fog formed at a terrifyingly fast rate and the Saiyan knew he would be caught up with, soon.

Unless he sped up.

He dug within, and still cloaked, let his ki push him. He blasted through the air like a stroke of lightning.

He wanted to be as far from Oasis as possible.

Zuus
They were picking up speed now, and the opening salvo did nothing to the spirit. That was disturbing. With as powerful as Groot had shown himself to be, to not even be phased by even a weak attack showed that this one was much stronger then the previous attacker.

The Saiyan picked up speed and the wraith turned into fog and followed. Zuus didn't speed up yet, as he was still trailing slightly behind to further assess the situation. They were getting out of the Oasis town now, and heading back south. That didn't seem like the smartest idea, as that seemed to be where these were coming from.

Last thing they needed was for more of them to show up.

Still, without a word, Zuus kept up his pursuit.

The target attempted to escape but the wraith was prepared for such problems on this hunt. As the saiyan sped up so to did the fog until it disappeared. In a sudden moment the fog was gone from the chase entirely.

It would last only moments though as the horseman manifested next to his target. " None escape the horseman fool!" Swinging for his target the sword became wreathed in a dark flame that turned the blade transparent. Not unlike an attack seen before.

The Saiyan's thoughts adjusted that of his significant other, Angeles. He had to wonder what was going on with her. If these creatures knew his name, could they know anyone's? Fear riddled his body but he had something more important to worry about-the Seeker, who had decided his mark was the Saiyan.

He referred to himself as a horseman, however. He dissipated through the air but the cloaked Saiyan did not believe he was safe for a moment and when Valinar appeared next to him, Roots was ready. He ducked away from his blade, narrowly avoiding the dark flame. It blackened part of the Saiyan's cloak, cutting fibers of it up into the air.

"You aren't RIDING a horse!" Groot responded, shouting. Again, he brought a hand up, but this time he fired two blasts-Jack's technique, the Descending Storm Strike.

The fight was already breaking out, and the specter refereed to himself as the horseman. He seemed to have the ability to vanish into fog and reappear at will, and that was going to be something tough to counter. Hopefully Groot could pull it off.

He didn't want to mention earlier that the spirit was riding a horse, but that was something for later.

The hard part was the fact that he still couldn't sense the power of the ghost. While he could feel out Groot, until he could pick up on the spirits, it was hard to tell who or what might be winning.

"Zuus hopes Groot has a big powerful attack to finish this thing off quickly."
