Hello! Welcome to Broken Futures!

Although we are a based on Dragon Ball keep in mind that we use it for the elements the show brought to us. We are not using ANY canon characters, only the world in which the show was built on. We are mostly a free form RPG with some stats to help track character growth. However, for the most part, your stats only matter in important fights or large events ran by a GM/DM.

We don't have any specific guidelines on what can or cannot be written about. So long as the Zetaboards ToS isn't violated. If a topic gets mature, keep it reasonable and do your best not to violate the host ToS. We don't like to limit you to what you want to write about and will trust your judgement not to make any posts in the extreme.

We are set in Future Trunks' timeline so the world is in ruin. Which would classify it as post-apoc. It's always been the best-styled setting to build a new world on top of. We have built this site to be based around the actions of the players. You will help build the world you're playing in. Every action within major events will influence how the world structures itself.

We have no word count, no canon face claims, no post formatting and no drama. We want you to come here and have fun. Before you sign up, please look over the Game a bit to decide if you are interested. After you've made an account make sure to introduce yourself here and say hello in the Chatbox. We love new members and are a very welcoming bunch of people.

Zuus
Zuus knew his way through the desert now. Beforehand, cutting through this route on the way to the north would result in him getting lost. But now he knew his way around. It would be a good place to stop on his way to catching up with his team. By now they should have reached Goemon's hideout. Now he just had to hope that the wraiths weren't following him. Once was coincidence. Twice was a pattern.

If another one of those creatures attacked him here, then it was obvious that they were following him. At that point, it would be too risky to catch up with Glacius and Goemon. He'd have to get a message sent to them some other way.

But still, aside from the sonic boom of the end of his flight, there shouldn't be anything that attracted unwanted attention. He would stop here, wait, and if nothing happened, move on.

Zuus was already calculating and preparing for the worst.

Zuus
The android's strike was true and blasted the bullseye on the wraith. The Dodon Ray smacked the mark head on and made his arm vanish. The creature started to fade into smoke, and then everything on him faded, saying that he would have his vengeance.

He failed to notice the mark had suddenly appeared on his arm as examining himself was not on his current list of things that needed to be done.

Groot took the sword and it was still having fog and shade waft from it.

"Zuus will hope that Groot would do the same for Zuus." The android stated, which was pretty much his way of saying 'think nothing of it.'

"Zuus is still confused as to why spirit thought Groot is Enragement Child though

Roots
Roots was still panting, the frostly sword held tightly in his right hand. His left came up to wipe at his face, and he glanced over at Zuus as he spoke, telling him that the animatronic simply hoped Groot would do the same for him.

The sad truth was indeed, Roots would. Groot or not.

"I'm pretty confused too, honestly," The Saiyan responded, pulling the blade up to look at it's edge. He himself could not wield it, but he was certainly curious what the hell was making it shed fog the way it did.

"But you said yourself that while I might look similar to him, the data doesn't match, right? Maybe...maybe this 'Enragement Child' did something to make whatever the hell is coming after me now angry,"

He only gazed upon the blade of midnight for another moment before reaching into his pocket for capsule, and then with a poof of smoke, placed the blade inside of it, and then back into his armor. He let out another sigh.

"...Do you think it's safe to go anywhere?"

Zuus
Groot was examining the sword that the spirit had left behind. It was something Zuus wouldn't mind looking over one day as well, as it was an enigma, and his computerized brain needed to try and solve it logically. But that could wait. The most pressing manner was now determining what to do next.

"That wouldn't surprise Zuus if Enragement Child did something stupid to attract them." The android said to Groot, "Enragement Child is not a smart creature at all. Zuus suspects he does not have a functioning brain. Only neurons that spark on occasion that make him do something enraging."

He put the sword away and Zuus continued.

"Zuus knows that south is not safe." He stated, "Zuus first became aware of these spirits when they came to the Crane School hidden location and made off with former instructor Tao. They stated they planned to return. Currently Assassin Ran is watching over the hideout, while Zuus, Goemon, and Glacius are regrouping at secondary hidden location. However, Zuus was not aware of where they are going, as they were to show it to Zuus. However, now that it is clear that they are following, it is not safe to go there."

The android looked in the direction of Central.

"Zuus's new plan. Go to Central, locate Ghost. Gather her assistance in getting a message sent to teammates to inform them of new developments. So far, spirits have only attacked in areas with small groups. Hypothesis. Zuus assumes twenty-five percent chance they will not appear in areas with high populations."

He looked back to Groot.

"That is short term plan for immediate things that need to be done. Long term plan still in development."

Roots
Since his hands had touched the blade he had felt uneasy, and when he put it in it's capsule and put it away, he was hoping that feeling would be gone.

It was not. Roots crouched down, wiping at his brow, gently touching at the ground where the blade had touched. He had so many questions, so many curiosities, and he felt the need to get in touch with someone. Angeles, likely.

Zuus was taking his time remarking how dumb Enragement Child was. Roots actually grinned when the animatronic claimed that he likely did not have a functioning brain, and then continued onto the problem at hand.

Zuus asserted that the south was not safe. Indeed, the reason why he had seen several students leaving was because of this, but Zuus let another piece of information go. Tao had joined these creatures, it seemed. Ran was watching the hideout, while Zuus, Goemon, and Glacius were going to regroup somewhere else.

Roots would have to ask Goemon why she was hanging with such a rough crowd.

Zuus' plan was to head to Central, and Roots could agree with that. The Saiyan stood, rubbing at his chin, silently.

"I don't like this. Not one bit. Whoever we just fought...he was strong. Stronger than both of us. And whatever the hell we fought before that...that disgusting thing was strong, too. We have to warn someone. Everyone. Something is not right,"

Zuus
Yes, this was a bad situation that they were in. They needed to warn the others.

"Zuus will catch up his comrades once he has a way to locate them. They have gone to the city up north, but Zuus is not sure where Goemon's hideout is. Zuus said to head there, as Glacius's hideout is known by others, including Enragement Child, therefore is not safe."

He looked back to Groot, who seemed to be uneasy. This was definitely new territory for both of them.

"If Groot has allies, it would be best to inform them. Once everyone is caught up, Zuus suggests pooling known information. Zuus will stay near Central until he can contact the others. If necessary, where could Zuus locate Groot?"

Roots
Terminus. As disgusting as it was, that might have been one of the safer places to go. Roots' face had turned away from Zuus, thinking critically, and the Saiyan's mind did not stop buzzing when Zuus asked him where the animatronic could find him. Roots opened his mouth and spoke.

"I think whatever the hell is going on, it might have something to do with the fact that we're together. If you really, really need me, head to the forest on the west side of the continent. I'll be able to find you, there," He rubbed at his cheek for a moment, letting out a pained sigh.

What he said was something was certain he would have never said to the monarch.

"Stay safe, Zuus,"

Zuus
Yes, considering twice they had been attacked and in such close proximity, it seemed like splitting up for now was the smart thing to do. He'd head for his safe location and Zuus would head for Central to meet up with the machine female.

"Very well, Zuus will look for you there when the time comes. You stay safe too, Groot." The android stated and was starting to head into the air again.

"And if you see Enragement Child, and it turns out he is responsible for this, do Zuus a favor and punch him in the face for me."
