Sorry to be late friends! This game took off faster than I expected. Three votes already... those votes were all cast rather hastily, but they seemed to be more than just joke votes. Well, no harm done as long as no actual wagons form. The biggest question is: should we lynch today? I'd say no. The chance of us killing one of our own is too high, like Laki calculated. BUT if a conflict develops, or someone is acting very scummy, or slips up, then I think a lynch could be useful. But we shouldn't lynch just to lynch, and not without in-depth discussion first. The presence of a Third Party is possible with this many people... but we don't have anything to go on that there would be one for now. So I wouldn't put too much thought into that. The priority is finding the Mafia, because we at least know they exist. I took some notes on people's behaviour. We have a few avid roleplayers, like Keimi, Salome and Funkfreed... for Day 1 it's nothing unusual, and nothing to worry about as long as they get serious when it counts imho. Then there's Laki, who seems to be taking the lead, and whom some players trust a little too easily... We should be careful with players guiding the Town. The mafia usually kind of stays in the background, especially at the start of the game, but it also happens quite often that at least 1 mafia member is very active and takes the lead. Usually that'll be an experienced player, but I guess we can't be sure of that on this board. |

The mafia would have to be extremely daring to put himself into a limelight prosecutor role first. They would more likely settle into a role behind them, to avert suspiscion. Does Ohm have something to gain? Perhaps we should lynch him! |

What's stopping you? Throwing vague suspicions then taking it back, that sounds like fake scumhunting. You didn't give a reason for way he was scummy or why you're not sure. The more I think about it the more I don't like it.
When you're Mafia you know who's who. You can protect your friends or follow a townie you feel could lead. Waiting on Johnny to explain himself cause having faith in anyone on day one isn't something I'd do.
Wow. So, we should keep you alive until then? That's a heck of a card you pulled. You're either scum trying to stay alive putting you on Powered Townies radar or you have a power and that puts you on the Mafia radar. Why out yourself like that?
1. My first comment is the only roleplay I'll do. No excuses for me. 2. Day 2 will tell us more if more than one player dies. With no info I'm guessing their will be from a Meta level. Our host trying to keep thing interesting. 3. Johnny and Funkfreed.
The forum doesn't matter. The Mafia will pick varied Posting Roles. They would be foolish not to. |

Shaoshaoshaoshaoshao~ the elephant does speak! I have been asking questions and pressing for answers and Im the scummy one, thats fine-shao. What disturbs me more is that Funkfreed finds reading through the thread arduous when that is what every player should be doing to corroborate people's thoughts. Now he opens his trunk and mentions the possibility of a third party that, granted is possible, we have no real knowledge of one existing and is distracting us from how just "there" the elephant/sword has been here. To be fair, there are others much more silent than he has been, but the fact that he has been here and just has been giving short rp lines with no substantive content is really worse. I said before, rp is not an excuse for active inactivity. unvote vote lynch: Funkfreed Feel free to put that pressure vote down, I welcome it-shao. |

@Funkfreed: You can call me Merry. I feel like I picked the wrong avatar but that's ok. I'm the Merry I want to be~ The chance of there being a lynching on Day 1 is very low. Not only is the risk to Town too high because there's nothing much to go off of and Town makes up the majority of players, but it will most likely give Scum a nice head start. Shooting ourselves in the foot I believe is the appropiate saying. Coming off of the unlikely situation where a lynch is achieved on Day 1 and the high probability of the victim being Town the only pro from that situation is the gaining of information from who is lynched. Also @Porsche: It's my experience that Mafia usually don't lay low because of all the talk about lynching inactives. Look at this very Day. I'm more concerned about...well, honestly I'm concerned about everyone, but more to the point I'm concerned about the active players only trying to appear helpful to Town. |
