The Breakdown

  • Excellent tag team match between two gifted pairs, making their EIW debuts together. Each was doing their absolute best to make their case loud and clear. The EIW Legionnaire Tag Team Championships were theirs for the taking. As both Amazons, Addison Rayne and Minnie, were making their way down the ramp to the ring, both Julio Montoya and Matias took to the ropes and caught their opponents off guard with a dual suicide dive. The official scurried out of the ring, trying to gain order in the match as the ruthless thugs continued to beat down on their opponents. The fans chanted “You Suck!” as loud as they possibly could, watching in ire as Addison Rayne was sent careening shoulder first into the steel steps. The crowd couldn’t bear the sight of the sweetest and adorable person on the planet getting beaten on by two thugs. Addison tried to shield herself from their lethal shots to her head and abdomen, only able to protect herself from a few of their blows. Feeling Rayne wouldn’t be a problem for them, the duo of Guerrero Asesino was still hungry to inflict more punishment. Julio and Matias weren’t done by a long shot, turning their focus and energy on The Scarlet Letter.

  • In the ring, the street thugs pummeled on Minnie without any kind of remorse. Miss Morris was doing all she could to withstand the ravaging assault at the hands of her opponents. It wasn’t easy, having to maneuver out of Matias’ reach while at the same time trying to keep up with Julio’s quickness. The fans were starting to believe that Minni e was actually going to come out of this on top, knocking the wind out of Julio with a swift forearm to the Adam’s apple and briefly turning Matias’ right knee into jelly with a sharp shot in the form of a sidekick. Minnie definitely seemed she had this in the bag, using every tool implanted in her by Hall of Famer John Morris. However, her moment quickly fizzled away. Soon enough Minnie found herself on the canvas, being prepped for Guerrero Asesino’s tag team finisher. Before things could get ugly for The Scarlet Letter, Matias was leveled with an impressive Rayne Storm (spinning heel kick). Julio seemed ready to avenge his fallen comrade when all of a sudden he soared over the top rope after missing connecting with a lariat on Addison. Even though Minsane in the Membrayne seemed exhausted, beaten, and battered, they were happily inviting Julio to return to the ring. With Matias still feeling the side effects of Addison’s perfectly timed kick, Julio knew when it was time to retreat. Live to fight another day. Even though the match never started, these two teams certainly let us know that their sights are set on becoming the company's inaugural tag champs.

MATCH 2

The Breakdown

  • Not wasting any time, right after their entrances concluded it was straight to work. Eddy Poe and Justin Jones each had something to prove to one another, and neither one wanted to look bad on their debut. These two weren’t holding a single thing back, throwing haymakers at one another disregarding the official’s orders to open their fists up. This match wasn’t slowing down a single bit, Eddy wowing the passionate with his wide array of martial arts skills, Justin not able to truly keep up with him. When Double J attempted to slam his opponent down on the canvas with a spinebuster, Eddy caught him with an impressive palm-heel strike that did a number on the double Hall of Famer. Needing to keep the pressure on his wobbly opponent, Poe dug further down into his bag of tricks and unloaded a ferocious series of unforgiving front elbow strikes. Each shot that connected to the head of Justin, Eddy was able to push him further and further back to the ropes behind them. The Filthy Angel was making sure that after tonight Justin had him nailed to his head, his dreams, and when he stared himself in the mirror.

  • In the middle of the intense bout, Poe seemed ready to end it when Double J retreated to a nearby corner requesting for a time out. The official walked over to him demanding that Poe hold his horses, noticing Jones in a great deal of pain. While the official was preoccupied with a supposedly hurting Justin, Eddy’s attention was quickly grabbed by a shrieking Traci. The wife of Justin Jones. Eddy was trying to figure out what she was doing out here, getting a headache as she screamed at him from the apron pointing at him with hatred burning in her eyes. Within minutes, Justin pounced on his distracted opponent like a wild animal tearing him from limb to limb. Jones wasn’t having any of it from the fans, throwing obscene signs at them briefly taking a pause from punishing The Filthy Angel. Being a 10x World Champion means you’ve seen and done it all. And Justin was proving that tonight. Using the five count to his advantage in the corner, on the ropes, utilizing the ten count to perfection outside as well, Justin Jones wasn’t going to let up on his opponent. Mister Two-time Hall of Famer gave his personal cheerleader a peck on the lips, later rolling his opponent back in the ring quickly going for the pin attempt.

  • When Poe had kicked out, Justin immediately attempted to lock in his patent sharpshooter. He had inflicted plenty of damage on Eddy, smelling victory within his reach. Before Justin could completely cinch in the submission move, Eddy quickly got to the ropes forcing the break. When Justin tried to lock it in again, his jaw was met with a sick strike to his chin. The move staggered his world renown opponent, allowing Eddy to gain some space in between them both. Licking his bloody bottom lip, Eddy measured his disoriented opponent looking to land his own patent move. The Filthy Halo (Step Up Heel Kick). Before The Filthy Angel could lift a single toe, Traci quickly latched onto his right leg not allowing him to go any further. While Poe was trying to free himself from his Traci’s clutches, Justin regained his composure and blindsided him with a sickening forearm to the back of the neck. Stepping back so her husband could finish his opponent off, Traci cheered Justin on like a maniac as he set Poe up for the Jones’s Effect (Pedigree). And in three seconds, Justin Jones had obtained his first victory in EIW.

Watch the main event that left us wanting more, in it's entirety:

MAIN EVENT

The two women waste little time getting face-to-face in the middle of the ring, then nose-to-nose. Nathan Crowe is very vocally behind Ashley as some of her trash talk seems to irk Paige, who shoves her in response. Not taking kindly to the gesture, Ashley slaps the taste out of Paige's mouth and the fight is on! But to those expecting some kind of hair-pulling, wardrobe-malfunctioning cat fight, well... prepare to be disappointed and then relieved! The two bombshells smash each other with forearm shots back and forth until Ashley gets in a few unanswered shots, driving Paige back into the turnbuckles. She charges in with a clothesline but Matthews is out of the way quickly, delivering a dropkick to the center of Ashley's back. Crowe yells further support but Matthews keeps the advantage, following up with a backstabber for a near-fall. Ashley still kicks out with tenacity, though, ducking a big haymaker from Matthews and yanking her to the mat by the hair, making a show afterward of picking the loose hairs from between her fingers.

Jamie Lowe: Now that was pretty dirty. I know Ashley's in a bit of a mood after a recent match, but…

Colin Parsley: Worry less about her tactics and more about how Paige is going to respond.

No stranger to fighting dirty, Paige kips up to her feet behind Ashley and when End Game turns around, Paige slaps the ever-lovin' out of her, turning her full around with the force of the blow! That certainly gets under Crowe's skin but ten bucks says that Ashley feels a lot worse about it. Hair-maring Ashley to the mat in a sitting position, Paige throws a few hard kicks to her back, then a basement dropkick to the back of her head! She makes a cover but only gets two, much to Nathan's relief.

Colin Parsley: Told you.

Jamie Lowe: Paige going for Ashley in double-time now, grabbing her by the throat and hurling her into the corner…

Colin Parsley: Nathan is apoplectic on the other side of the ring, there. If I were him, I'd do more managing than complaining.

Paige follows Ashley in with a shoulder thrust to the midsection, then another. A big European uppercut rocks Ashley and Matthews draws her out for more punishment. Breaking out of her opponent's grip, Ashley starts lighting up her chest with chops, leaving Matthews backtracking and clutching her chest in pain. Kicking Paige's knee out from under her, Ashley delivers the It Came From Monmouth County II: The Beast Lives (shining wizard) and very nearly gets a three-count before Paige puts a foot on the bottom rope. Trying to keep her focus, Ashley pulls Paige up and Irish whips her only for the blonde to reverse it, yanking Ashley into a big elbow to the jaw! Reeling, Williams still has the wherewithal to fire back with another trio of chops, both hurting and angering Paige!

Jamie Lowe: This is getting ugly in a hurry, Colin. It's turning into a straight-up slugfest!

Colin Parsley: You seem to be the only one bothered by that! Listen to this crowd!

He's right, though; the crowd's on fire something fierce and with every blow the two women land on one another, the more intense they get! Paige grabs back the advantage and sticks a thumb in the eye of Williams, using that opening to deliver a BIG Deep Six-Nine (spinning belly-to-belly suplex) that comes within a hair of getting her the win! Nathan Crowe, however, is quick to point out how Ashley got a foot on the ropes! Paige warns him off and is nearly victimized by an inside cradle, the count being a long two!

Colin Parsley: Looks like Crowe is doing more than complaining now. Paige almost bought it there for taking her eye off the match.

Jamie Lowe: But she's fired up again!

Paige spears Ashley to the mat after coming out of the cradle, delivering a barrage of right hands to Williams on the mat until the referee's count has her breaking it up! Grabbed by the front of her ring gear, however, gets Matthews sent throat-first into the second rope. When Matthews staggers back, Ashley is right there to deliver the Erase/Rewind (Unprettier) for the one-two-NO! Paige kicks out of the move and leaves Williams clearly frustrated. The fire and fury instilled within her recently has her pulling Matthews up by the hair and screaming into her face to simply give it up! Paige lunges upwards with a headbutt and suddenly Ashley is back on the defensive!

Jamie Lowe: Ashley got rocked with that shot, Colin!

Colin Parsley: Just goes to show that you shouldn't talk too much trash without knowing your opponent is really down and out!

Jamie Lowe: Still, Paige has to press this advantage before Ashley recovers!

Charging, Paige grabs Ashley around the waist and drives her back-first into the turnbuckles. She throws a few more shoulders before hitting a big vertical suplex to bring Williams back down to the mat. Not satisfied with just one, she pops her hips and comes back up for a second vertical. Ashley twists in her grip, landing behind her, but eats a big backhand from Paige that keeps her from taking advantage! It looks as though she might have gotten her lip busted open with that one though it isn't enough to keep her from reacting in time to a roundhouse kick by Paige; she ducks the swing of the blonde's leg and counters with a flatliner! Both women are down for several seconds before getting back up...

Jamie Lowe: Now it's going to be about guts... who wants this more, Colin?

Colin Parsley: The woman who wins, naturally. We won't know till the end who has more of what it takes, Jamie. Right now, they're just too even.

...and going right back to where they started with a big slugfest! Paige delivers another headbutt, this one striking near the bridge of Ashley's nose and causing her to fall back into the ropes. She rebounds, delivering a big jumping knee that has Paige backpedaling with her arms flailing a bit. When Ashley moves in, she tries for another Deep Six-Nine but Ashley punches her way out, one of those shots striking Paige in the eye! Perhaps considering it retribution for Paige's more blatant strike earlier, Ashley smirks and ducks a wild shot from Paige before driving a boot into her midsection and delivering the End Game (Pedigree) for the one-two-three and the big win!
