Infinity Ward has announced that instead of bringing modern warfare 2 to the wii like the other consoles, nintendo will instead be recieveing a ported version of call of duty 4: modern warfare. honestly, the game is possibly better then the conduit, but because it's a ported game, it cannot be compared to the original. Treyarch (not IW) will be handling the porting of the game, which more than likely means graphics will be cut to maintain a stable fps rate, along with online modes being possibly cut down to only a handful of modes. The release of the wii version of Cod4 is set on the same date of the release of Modern Warfare 2, on november 10th. A DS version of the game is also to be released, but honestly i would much prefer to continue playing the game on the PS3. Confirmed: http://wii.ign.com/objects/902/902591.html (not much, but it is happening) |

I don't see the point, why not just make MW2 for the Wii? |

IW is stubborn when it comes to makeing a lesser quality version of their Call of Duty and MW games with less 'perks' for the wii, or even for the GC. oh well, hopefully it isn't as ****ed up like the conduit. <.< Leave it up to Treyarch to bring a ported version for MW2 when MW3 comes out for every other system.

Update: Cod4 actually seems to be a very promising game at this point. The wii version of the game will include all of the online features seen in the original game, meaning all the maps, game modes, weapons, perks, and possibly the removal of friend codes (oh god please be true). 10 players is most likely the maximum amount of players than can play against each other at once. The only downside of this is voice chat will not be enabled for the game. Offline Co-op at certain points of the game will also be introduced, a new feature not shown in the original, along with more improved graphics compared to World at War on the Wii. Source |

treyarch should have more sense than making a complete knock-off of the original for the wii in the first place. then again, they only listen to money r.r |
