Her Majesty, Queen Emily I is the current ruling monarch of the United Kingdom of Atlea. Born in Adelaide, she is the eldest child of her predecessor, King Edward II, and his wife, Charlotte. During her time in the RAN, and in the years immediately following her service, Emily earned a PhD in international relations from the University of Adelaide, as well as a Master's in modern Sanzhouese studies from the University of Hobart. Naval Service Emily enlisted in the Royal Atlean Navy at the age of 18, preferring to join as an enlisted woman rather than an officer. Choosing to enter the field of cryptography, Emily spent six years in signals intelligence for the RAN, with an emphasis on Sanzhouese signals. During her time in the naval service, Emily deployed aboard several warships as part of the Pacific Fleet, visiting foreign ports throughout the Pacific region. She ended her time in the RAN as a petty officer second class. Intelligence Service Reign Throughout the 2020's, Edward II's health had continued to decline, with the elderly monarch making fewer and fewer public appearances. By 2027, Emily was knew she could hear the news of her father's death at any time. Emily was preparing to go in to her office upon hearing of Edward's demise on February 28. She began her reign of the UKA and had resigned as head of the RAIS the same day. Marriage In 1998, at the age of 23, Emily married Jack Abbot, an officer within the Royal Atlean Army. The couple enjoyed a seemingly happy marriage for nine years, until it was revealed by the Atlean media in 2007 that Abbot had had an affair for several months with a Neraki reporter. The two quietly divorced two months later. Abbot was killed less than a year later when his private plane disappeared over the Atlean Sea in mysterious circumstances. During their marriage, the two conceived two children, William and Alexandra. |
