![]() "The Shimada always endure." General Description Name: Souryu Murakami Ragyo no Youmu Kintama Tenran no Tenmei Aoyama Shinobu no Shimada Nicknames: Her name is simplified as Ragyo Shimada, but she is comfortable with the nickname Lakshmi, given to her by her mother as a child Age: 22 Gender: Female Race: Valerian Faith: The Valerian Pantheon, as well as ancestor worship Height / Weight: 5'8", 52 kg Occupation: Shimada heiress, ambassador, arena fighter, mercenary, badass Residence: Temporary lodgings in Umibe History and Physical Description Physical Description: Lakshmi is a short but athletically-built Valerian woman, inheriting the Shimada 'good looks' gene. She looks significantly older than her brother, even though they are about the same age. Her eyes are sharp grey and her black hair is kept at medium -lenght yet somehow it appears uncut. As if it just stopped growing once it reached such a length. Closer inspection of her hair reveals that is it has red roots, so perhaps she dyed her hair black. Her posture is of a warrior and not a noblewoman. Lakshmi usually goes round town in her armor, a silver-plated armor set with blue highlights. If not armor, then she also wears this blue dress she really likes. Personality: Polite and confident, Lakshmi shows her noble upbringing in mere speech. She has plenty of control over her emotions, not letting it control her or her actions in any form. In normal conversation, she may come across as too serious or uptight. While it's true that she's not a joker by any means, that doesn't mean she is without a sense of humor. She prides herself in mastering the art of Dragon Fencing. However, it is not to overblown proportions. Lakshmi is all about balance. Everything within her is never in excess, except for love for family. Martial Abilities: A talented and especially skilled warrior lady, Lakshmi is one of several heirs of the Ryƫ Geki Ken, or Dragon Fencing. Strong and powerful as an offense, she improves upon the style to better suit her dual-wielding. Plenty have called it Souryƫ Kenjutsu, or Twin Dragons Fencing. Her weapons of choice are twin bronze trishulas, dubbed Dragon Claws for their shape. Relationships: She is the granddaughter of Shinobu Shimada and Hattori Hanzo (she calls him Grandpa Tenzen), as well as the daughter of the current matriarch of the Shimada. Lakshmi has a brother, Yuu Hanzo (Hisanin Raikou Yuusuke no Shimada). History: Like her mother and grandmother before her, Ragyo (or Lakshmi, as she wanted to be called) was born into the Shimada line of nobility. Everything was set for her to be groomed into an acceptable next heiress, but her grandmother spoke against it. Instead of laying around like a lazy noble, she spent her days training in the family style, Dragon Fencing. Over time, she became really, really good at it and even bested her own mother in a kenjutsu duel. At the age of 17, she was already able to perform the Ougi, something that took her mother 7 years to master and her grandmother, a lifetime. When she came of age at around 20 years old, the clan thought it best if she was to become Clan Ambassador. This meant her duties involved diplomatic errands that took her everywhere and back. It suited her, to be honest. She had always wanted to see the world. Two years later, her grandmother Shinobu passed away at 127 years old. Lakshmi was given the duty of enacting her grandmother's will. She was sent to Umibe, where some of her grandmother's past friends (or descendants of) remained. |
