Should transgender athletes (particularly transwomen) be allowed to compete against their preferred sex in combat sports and other athletic competitions? In my opinion it's not fair, because transgender people are still biologically their original sex, and you can't change biology. This should be obvious stuff, but to many, it's not. |

I voted "it depends". If the person is undergoing hormone therapy and their hormones give them an unfair advantage (akin to athletes that take performance enhancing drugs), then no they should not be allowed to compete. Another gray area is if they are still physically a male and haven't underwent any transition or anything and just identify as a woman. It does seem to give them an unfair advantage cus biology. In short, whether or not a transgender should be allowed to compete should be determined on a case-by-case basis. |
