Favorite Food: Salmon Theme: TBA Personality: During his time as a knight when serving House Shepard, Colyne was stern to those below his status that he was merely acquainted with, including the peasantry. He usually associated himself with those equal or above him or those who he decided to call a close ally. After his banishment and being stripped of his title, Colyne became more reclusive of others. Mentally, he dared not think of himself as an equal to a peasant despite his lack of any title or power above them, but he felt ashamed to be near those of higher title who used to be lower than him. In general, Colyne wasn't gentle. Instead, he was rather blunt and rough. History: Colyne grew up as a page, later squire, to his father, Searl Gasper. He was raised as a knight to later serve under the nobility of House Shppard, which the Gasper Household served for generations with little failure. During his training, Colyne's physical and mental strength were both challenged, but he was able to overcome the trials he was put through. By the time he was given the title of Knight, Vicente Shepard was the Lord of the House, so Colyne served under him. For many years, Colyne served House Shepard faithfully. With his fellow knights, he obeyed the orders he was given. There were not many orders he was given where he felt a moral conflict, but in the few he had felt conflicted in, he chose to obey orders overall as his top priority. Often, Colyne patrolled the streets, but his duty was often at the house itself until further instructions. Eventually, he became the right-hand of Vicente due to both his family and his personal efforts. He was an observer as Lord Vicente married Lucianne and had two children: Aiden and Rosetta. He heard about how the two wished to have more children but were unable to. Sadly, there were multiple miscarriages before they stopped attempting to bring more children into the world. It wasn't until a knight suddenly arrived with an injured girl from a bandit raid in which Vicente and Lucianne felt hopeful again. Although they had no intentions of adopting her, instead of returning her to her closest family or friends, they were unable to find anyone. The girl couldn't even remember anything aside from her own name, Evelyn. Colyne questioned the choice of adopting a lower-class child into a noble family, but he dared not voice his opinion. Vicente and Lucianne chose to announce Evelyn to the world, but Colyne specifically noted that they chose to avoid speaking of her origins of adoption. It was only a few weeks after that when Colyne's servitude to Vicente ended. Word had gotten out about Colyne being rough with prisoners, especially during interrogations; however, Vicente chose to do nothing because of his ally's status. It was only when a visiting noble was assassinated in the house and Colyne was the prime suspect that Vicente had to take action. The Lord hesitated to believe Colyne did the crime, but he knew that he would form bad relations with neighboring noble families if he left the matter go unpunished. Choosing to spare Colyne's life, he stripped Colyne of his title and land before dismissing him from the court. He left House Shepard without an uproar, but Colyne held resentment against Vicente for his choice. Knowing that he would have a poor reputation if he stayed in Amberfell, he chose to leave the village and become a traveling mercenary. Except for speaking with clients and helpful sources of information for his contracts, Colyne tried to avoid having too much contact with anyone. He became known as a great tracker and swordsman, but he would only be able to bring one of those titles with him. From an unknown source, Colyne found himself assaulted by two burly men. Colyne only barely made it out of the fight with his life, but he sustained horrid injuries that resulted in damage to his body that failed to fully recover. The fight and previous experiences were finally taking their toll on him. Because of his condition, Colyne was hired as 'The Tracker' for his detective skills rather than swordplay, but that didn't keep him out of danger to where he had no need of a weapon. Although he did manage to get the hang of the bow, he never became as efficient using that instead of a blade. His changed life as a mercenary was taking its shape. Asset:
