Name: Beo Wolfsky

Quote: "Nay, thou who would walk in the valley of evil. Doth thou expect to win against the triumphantly forces of good?"

Age: 52

Race: Manakete

Class: Dragon Knight - Uses Dragonstones and Swords

Dragonstone: A

Sword: A

[Personal Skill] - Bloodlust: When below 50% HP, his Manakete form gains +2/-2 damage dealt and taken, while his human form gains -2/+2.

Preferred Weaponry: Dragonstone, and a sword called 'Aesir' - A shortsword imbued with whatever elemental Manakete power they possess.

Significant Friends/Family: Ecgtheow (Father, Deceased) Onela (Mother, M.I.A), Mark Steelwind (His King)

Personality: Being a rather oddity for Manaketes; having reached both physically and mental maturity at an astoundingly young age for them, he is also bound to have quirks. Unlike the two main variants - "Childish or Always serious" he is an amalgamtion of the two. Deathly serious when on duty, and fiercly loyal to his lord, but finds time to enjoy games and some jokes when not on duty.

Unlikely to back down from a fight if it concerns his or his liege's honor, even when clearly outmatched. Rarely utilizes dragon form, and instead mostly fights with his enchanted sword, Aesir. He is extremely suspicious of things he knows nothing about, and this usually extends to strangers as well. He tends to avoid children at all costs, including other Manakete children. He does, however, get along great with Wyverns, and is often able to gain their trust, even undomesticated ones.

Greatest Asset: His fierce loyalty to comrades means he's likely to stick with them; despite any challenge. His Dragon form is also exceptionally powerful.

Greatest Flaw: His loyalty also means he can get himself into sticky situations when following a friend on a suicide mission, along with the fact his Dragon form is hard to control.

History:

Near the foothills of the lower eastern isles, lie a quiet town; one of dragonkin. So close in proximity to the kingdom of Marx, yet without nary a trace of contact. To the town's leader, the strong and wise Ecgtheow and his wife Onela, a child was born. Unconsciously bearing the name of Beo, this child would be a paragon to begin the bridge between Manakete and man.

Though King Marx found it more prudent to ignore people of this town, demanding no tribute, the same could not be said from other human settlements. Racism and terror deeply seeped into the hearts of those men; like a vile poison corrodes the very essence of life.

When Beo was twelve, a mere babe by Manakete terms, the prodigy child Mark; son of Marx, visited the dragon town. Greeted by Ecgtheow, the young king would stay a few days time, telling the people of his goal to attempt to improve relations with the Manaketes.

This was when Beo and his to-be liege first met. Eager to also forge a stronger bond, Beo's father boarded Mark freely, refusing payment offered. The two quickly formed an almost familial bond, despite age differences. Beo was enamored with royal life and the stories about hero knights who slew great evils. On the last day of his visit, Wrymslayer wielding bandits attacked the town, showing not a trace of mercy to anyone.

Mark took up his blade in defense of the village, downing foes left and right but left covered in wounds, some that could prove fatal if unchecked. When Beo was escorted to his castle by several townspeople, Beo made a solemn vow. He would pick up the sword to take on the burden Beo faced; to become the first Manakete knight. Perhaps it was due to a combination of inspiration from the young king and the fact this his own draconic form was volatile; hard to manipulate, and easy to lose yourself to.

After the events of the bandit raid; Mark had convinced his father to offer guards to the town, which they gladly accepted. Whenever Beo and a guard had free time, Beo would beg for him to train him further in the art of swordsmanship. There was only so much one could learn from reading and arms scrolls, after all.

Another bandit attack struck, driven off but claiming the life of a few villagers. And then another attack, and another, and another. Marx, seeing the destruction, took it upon himself to offer the remaining villagers refuge. On the pilgrimage there, a final attack struck. Driven with rage and lust for blood; Beo, for the first time, took his dragon form for battle.

The carnage was terrible to behold; despite the bandits wielding wyrmslayers, they were crushed. Beo, fueled by rage, was unable to revert and nearly went on a rampage, accidently killing his father and scattering some of the Manaketes into the swamp, including his mother.

It took a near fatal stab close to his heart by Mark himself to stop him. When he awoke, he had no memeory of what happened that night. Deciding it would be best not to the lay the grief of killing his father and driving his mother away, Mark lied at first; telling him they fled during a bandit attack.

For the next ten years, Beo lived somenly under the castle guard; pursuing his training as a swords fighter. Gifted a dragonstone by his tribe, he was also able to surpress any primal urges he had due to the unruly nature of his draconic form. On the eve of his 21rst birthday, the truth was lain out to bear.

Beo sealed himself away until the next morning to repent, in which afterwards he came out and declared open loyalty to King Marx and his son. From then, he was trained as a retainer to king Marx. Years of harsh training had hardened Beo, turning his fiery personality into steely resolve to server the Kingdom faithfully. That was, until, the beast showed up.

Of course he offered to fight it, but the aging Marx denied, inisiting that a mortal man should defeat it. In disagreement, but not daring to disobey his king, he urged Beo to find and slay the beast; with him in tow as a guard.

That was until Beo slipped out of the castle, and the next day Marx lay dead; secretly slaughtered by the creature. With both his lieges gone, and the kingdom on the verge of collapsement, Beo set out with a disctinct goal in mind; find and protect Mark.

Additional Notes:

Unlike other Manaketes, Beo - Is proficient with weaponry that isn't tomes. Became deeply ingrained in traditionally human custom. Serves UNDER a human. Reached physical and mental maturity extremely soon for a Manakete. Despite resembling more of an earth Dragon, Beo's elemental type is water - the 'flames' that he uses is just superheated near-plasma state water, given a reddish-pink tint by Manakete magic. Beo's Dragon form, despite being powerful, is often more feral (uncontrollable) than other transformations.
