Alexander laughed, shaking his head. "Albino Moray? Please, my friend, they are bland and tasteless. I much prefer Angler Crab, but the difficulties of practical transport make it fairly rare. But regardless, we should find something, certainly."

"Yes. Something. Anything, please, I'm absolutely famished. Let's go, my treat." Louis rose from his chair and tugged his shirt down to remove any creases. "Do either of you have any suggestions?"

Alexander stood, looking the two over. "That depends...I know a place in Wolfstack that does excellent zee-food, if you like. Unless you'd rather have something more Surface-inspired?"

"Zee-food suits me just fine." Evoro gets up from his chair, patting his stomach. "Can't remember the last time I had it, even though I've stopped by the Docks so often..." He adjusts his coat and pats his pockets, ready to leave. "Shall we be off, then?"

"Let's." Without another word, Louis hastily made his way from the parlor to the street, where his almost scandalously opulent carriage waited for him.

Alexander made his way outside as well, where his own transportation was waiting: A massive brute of a black stallion, with glinting eyes full of murder, hooves the size of a man's head, and little riding tack beyond a token bit and bridle. It was currently loitering in a stall, daring any of the attendants to approach it. One foolish young man had already made that crucial mistake, and was nursing several broken ribs. Alexander pressed a handful of glim into the boy's hand, whispering the address of a physician in Ladybones who might be able to help him. The giant of a man vaulted the pen railing, climbed onto the massive horse, and held on for dear life. The horse didn't need so much as a kick in encouragement, as it vaulted the pen walls from a standing start, hit a gallop as soon as it landed, and bolted in a mad dash vaguely southwest, along the river. The entire process from mounting to vanishing around a corner took barely a handful of minutes.
